INTERIORS FROM GREECE: AN INTERNATIONAL MODERN PLATFORM “INTERIORS FROM GREECE” is an international/contemporary communication platform which promotes worldwide the Greek industry that deals with the design and product manufacturing, related to interior decoration and architecture (domestic furniture, professional equipment, lightning, materials, indoor/outdoor construction). Its bilingual format (in Greek & English) as well as the modern design, gives the opportunity to Greek producers and designers to have at their disposal a valuable communication tool while at the same time, to be able to promote easily their ideas and product propositions. Interiors From Greece is mainly addressed to agents and furniture & decoration product traders, architects, decorators, designers, hoteliers, project offices but also to end consumers who love design. However, apart from the on-line platform, INTERIORS FROM GREECE organizes and takes part in domestic and international events, using branding, public relations and dynamic communication for its main tools.

03. INTERIORS FROM GREECE IN GREAT INTERNATIONAL FAIRS Extroversion since 2012 If we go back in 2012 we will find a group of companies sharing the same dream of the international promotion of the made in Greece products. Based on this mutual dream, the companies Candia-Strom, Corpus, de-code, Elite Strom, Lattas, Papadatos and Morphos, under the communication strategy of Interiors from Greece, take part in the international furniture fairs, imm Cologne and Salone del Mobile demonstrating to the world that Greek production and Greek design do exist. Since then, almost four years have passed and the participation of the Greek companies in significant foreign fairs has long been established. Interiors from Greece plays a strategic, organizational and communicative role to this important attempt of exported orientation.
Indicatively, three significant international fairs (2015) where Interiors from Greece has played such role, are mentioned.
MADE expo 2015
First stop is MADE expo 2015. The 4-day fair is a lot more than an ordinary trade fair. It is a source of education and business opportunities, with the attraction of significant investments by manufacturers and businessmen who wish to enter dynamically into the market. INTERIORS FROM GREECE, having realized the importance of the Greek companies participation in a fair of such standards, has been established as the official agent of MADE expo in Greece. The participating Greek companies, Alchimica, Convex, Elval Colour, Interno Doors and Mathios Refractories carry out important professional contacts while at the same time showcase their products in a clearly wider and targeted public. It worth mentioning that after the totally successful cooperation with the organizer company, FLA events, INTERIORS FROM GREECE announces the organization of the Greek companies participation in MADE expo 2017.
Salone del Mobile Milano 2015 Without doubt, Salone del Mobile Milano is the ultimate design event. Here is where trends are set, where everything begins from as representatives of the sector from all over the world arrive each year so as to keep up with furniture and design-related news. INTERIORS FROM GREECE, expanding its strategic cooperation that has developed with Salone del Mobile Milano since 2012, organizes the Greek mission 2015 with the participation of the companies Papadatos, de-code, 10DEKA, ARCHBONE, Gyllos Furniture Concepts, Mia Collection, al2, Candia Strom and Malapetsas.
May Design Series London 2015
Third stop is May Design Series London (organized by UBM). British market is totally developing and the participation in such a fair automatically increases the potentials for significant professional contacts and agreements. INTERIORS FROM GREECE organizes the first participation of Greek manufacturers in the specific fair. The participating companies are ARCHBONE, Eliton, Gyllos Furniture Concepts, Kontaki Design, Mia Collection and Papadatos. It’s a fact that their participation constitutes a dynamic step towards the British market.
04. THE GREEK GROUP CONCEPT WORLDWIDE BY INTERIORS FROM GREECE GREEK GROUP CONCEPT

Following the example of Denmark, Norway or France, the Greek furniture companies join forces and participate in Salone del mobile Milano 2014 & 2015 through the GREEK GROUP CONCEPT. Mutual goal of this team is the relaunching of a more active and branded concept that will contribute so as the Greek products to prevail in the international markets. For this purpose, in Salone del Mobile Milano 2015, Interiors from Greece in cooperation with the architecture practice of Aspasia Taka, create a mutual stand where the four participating companies show together their products and innovations. The GREEK GROUP CONCEPT forms the ideal beginning for a project that aims at becoming even more dynamic as it is going to be present in international fairs in order to approach different kinds of markets and therefore, the Greek companies to be able to enter to more “difficult� markets (eg. overseas) which they could not approach otherwise. The following fairs where the GREEK GROUP CONCEPT is going to take place again are Salone del Mobile Milano 2016 & MADE expo 2017.
05. INTERIORS FROM GREECE IN DOMESTIC FAIRS TOGETHER WITH TIF HELEXPO INTERIORS FROM GREECE, in a strategic cooperation with TIF HELEXPO has been coordinating the organization of the Furnidec Business and Hotelia fairs since 2013 & 2014 respectively. At the same time, since 2013 they organize together the DPOINT event which aims at giving prominence to Greek design through the organization of special shows during the above mentioned trade fairs.
The DPOINT progress in a short flashback: During Furnidec 2013, the special event DPOINT is introduced for the first time. It is a parallel event – tribute to the modern history of Greek design which focuses on Greek industrial designers’ work. For the first time, Greek creators have the chance to show together their products, in a space of uniform formation. Some of the designers who take part in the first DPOINT are: Sotiris Lazou, Andreas Varotsos, Giannis Ghikas, Greece is for Lovers, STUDIOLAV etc.
Still, a fair is evolved through innovation and constant creativity. So, a year later DPOINT passes baton to the DPOINT project hotel. The DPOINT project hotel focuses on the hotel construction and renovation sectors and is held during Furnidec Business 2014. The participating designers and architects – Sotiris Lazou, Andreas Varotsos, Aspasia Taka, Manolis Metridis and Giorgos Pittarokilis – design and curate 5 different concepts for hotel rooms. A month later, the DPOINT project hotel is showed in Thessaloniki, during Hotelia, the international fair on hotel equipment. For 2015, the DPOINT HOTEL VILLAGE is found once again in Hotelia. By representing the quality design, this special section joins high quality products and materials, thus reflecting a lifestyle that is based on creative principles. Goal is the formation of a “neighborhood” of brands and curators who are orientated by the social and aesthetic progress of the way that modern hospitality operates. Through this short flashback, the strong and well-established cooperation of TIF HELEXPO and Interiors from Greece proves that in the middle of true difficult times, the well- studied and organized projects can be successful and win the impressions of both participants and guests.
06. IFG NEWS: A SPECIAL INTERNATIONAL EDITION INTERIORS FROM GREECE has managed to become a truly international platform for design which is recognized by everyone abroad as the Greek delegate of the furniture sector in the international fairs and markets. The special international edition IFG news is the logical consequence that reflects this dynamics, the fact that Interiors from Greece is a source of inspiration for the Greek companies while at the same time is the most reliable body which the international organizers absolutely rely on. In the pages of this special edition, the reader will be informed on the important corporate news of the Greek manufacturers, Greek design, news concerning fairs and events as well as on new products by Greek manufacturers. The first IFG news was handed out for free during the international fairs Salone del Mobile Milano 2015 and May Design Series London 2015. Also, it is available in application (ios & android) as well as on issuu.com. The next upgraded IFG news edition will be published in April 2016.
