Cormar Carpet Company drew the crowds

Cormar Carpet Company was delighted to return to The Flooring Show, showcasing its award-winning Trade Portal and building on the strength of key bestselling ranges to further extend their appeal to consumers.

To meet the rising popularity of wool products, Cormar has enhanced their offering with the new Hampstead wool twist range, as well as the recently launched wool loop ranges Fairisle and Malabar Two Fold, all of which enjoyed the spotlight at this year’s show. The new Wool Textures display was also presented on the stand, exhibiting the manufacturer’s popular loops on one distinctive lectern.

The company’s sixth range launch of the year, Kingston, was previewed at the show, ahead of its launch in the coming weeks. Made from 100% Excellon polypropylene and produced using a two-ply yarn, Kingston is a value-orientated, 1/10th gauge carpet, offering improved pile density and performance. Durable and resilient, this new range is manufactured by Cormar in a collection of 15 popular plain and heather shades, providing a stylish and practical base for interior design schemes.

Since its launch in 2011, Cormar’s Trade Portal has gone from strength to strength, with more than 60% of customers now placing orders via the service. During a recent survey, over 90% of users reported the online portal as the best in the industry, and with a host of new features introduced this year it is better than ever.

Cormar’s investment in enhancements to the portal this year has exceeded £100,000. Visitors to the stand benefited from live demonstrations exhibiting the latest features, including the new pending deliveries feature alongside the highly requested marketing area.

‘With the number of customers choosing to use our Trade Portal increasing all the time, we were delighted to showcase our recent enhancements, which we believe will cement user confidence in our online service and work towards enabling customers to carry out most of their interactions with Cormar online, should they choose to do so,’ says David Cormack, Cormar marketing director.
