We’re Hiring...

‘Greendale is much more than a buying group; it is a community, that’s what makes it unique,’ says Eamonn Prescott, Greendale chief executive.

‘We have banged the drum about Greendale being more than a buying group and some have asked us what we mean by that. What we mean is, when you become a member of Greendale, you also become a shareholder and own a stake in the group. Which means that we all work together, and the group grows stronger. It’s not just about the individual, it’s what being a collective can achieve.

‘It’s the reason we have our own purpose-built warehouse. Built for the members, by the members. It’s the reason we have such strong trading relationships with suppliers. And it’s the reason we have the Interiors Monthly Flooring Brand of the Year award. We believe everything is possible because of the strength of our members as a collective.

‘Another example of how we work together is the sharing of information. While other groups can have two to three members in an area, we have one. This exclusivity means our members don’t compete with one another, so whether it’s exchanging information on insurance, card machines, deposits or accounting software, there is a huge community willing to engage to help make someone else’s business stronger. Tell me where else that happens?’

‘Greendale is such a great buying group to be part of. It is so much more than a group, more like a family who are always there to help and support the members whilst still getting us the best products for the best prices,’ says Katie Courtney-Jones, director of J&I Carpets in Oswestry, Shropshire.

‘Pride of place on this year’s stand at The Flooring Show was the Interiors Monthly Flooring Brand of the Year award. This year we have raised the profile of the brand with a social media campaign which has seen audience engagement more than triple. We have also revamped the website, logo, corporate colour and entered into collaborations with such high-profile interior companies as ANTA Scotland, Panaget Flooring, Broadleaf and The Woven Edge,’ says Latona Potter, Greendale marketing manager.

‘All this plus a record number of in-store installations has seen a massive transformation in how the group is viewed. We’ve had a big rise in enquiries for membership and that is testament to the hard work we have put in on our recruitment drive for 2023 and beyond.’
