Carpenter highlighted the choices on offer
Visitors to the Carpenter stand were encouraged to ‘Discover the Difference’.
It highlighted three categories of underlay: Standard, Comfort and Performance, and asked visitors to stand on different samples.


The Standard category is a practical, all-round product providing support and comfort. It highlighted Magic 8, which has a density of 85kg/cum, 8mm thickness, sound insulation of 34dB and a thermal insulation of 2.13tog.
The Comfort category underlay is designed to deliver a deluxe flooring experience. It offers resilient support to the carpet while focusing on providing supreme luxury under foot. It highlighted Deepstep, which has a density of 125kg/ cum, 11mm thickness, sound insulation of 46dB and a thermal insulation of 2.78tog.
The Performance category is designed to provide carpets with optimum support, while its high density of 180kg/ cum brings additional durability to extend the life of the flooring, ensuring it looks its best for longer. Prostep –suitable for domestic and heavy contract use – was highlighted, with its 8mm thickness, 36dB and 2.07tog ratings. Visit: www.carpenter.com
