As a visual artist, I’ve never before felt a kinship to a medium. When I discovered encaustics I had finally found “the one.” I fell in love with the creamy, ethereal look of smooth wax and delight at the flipside potential of the medium to create extreme texture and subtle, complex color. It’s a constant discovery. I've never felt confident in showing my work, but now I feel like the viewer and I are discovering together.
