This is our first publication! Welcome! There were a plethora of topics that our team wanted to cover but due to limited time, tough decisions were made through a rigorous selection process (eeny meeny miny mo). In DanPlan style, take your friends and maneuver through life in a zombie apocalypse with Sin Luena on the next page right over, bounce points for those that got the reference(viewer discretion advised). Then join us in the universal love of cats in Cats of Caliber by Anna Yuki, where she ranks her top 3 cat breeds of all time and describes all their cute and fluffy features. TW: Mentions death, weapons and violence. Have you ever wondered what an apocalyptic world would be like? What would you do in situations where your life depended on it? These are all questions that the SARJLARY team has thought of, and decided to share with our fellow readers. As you read through this article, you will be given scenarios where you have options that could lead to your survival or your doom. For the sake of this activity, you are in your midtwenties, living in a small home in a quiet neighborhood. Remember to have fun and stay alert.
Scenario 1: You just got home from work, and you walk up to your front porch. All of a sudden you hear a familiar voice shout “Help! Help! Someone help me!” You turn around and your mom is being chased by this greenish-colored person. Though it’s only a split second, you notice bloody bite marks on her arms and neck. You have to make a choice. A: Let your mom in, she’s too important. B: Go inside and lock the door, leaving your mom to fend for herself. C. Grab the nearest weapon and get rid of both of them. The correct answer is B. Your mom is already infected, saving her will only be a hassle later on. Trying to get rid of both will also put your life in a lot of unnecessary danger.
Scenario You successfully closed the door and 2:
left your mom alone. She screams and cries out for help, which fills your entire body with guilt. After a while; it becomes quiet. You are now alone, and realizing what's at stake, you need to act fast. What would you do first? A: Board up every window and every door. B: Go to your kitchen and grab a weapon. It’s not safe outside. C: Get buckets, fill them up with water, and charge every electronic device you have.
The correct answer is C. You never know when water becomes contaminated and when electricity shuts off.
Scenario You fill buckets with water and charge 3:
your phone. With it, you try to call your friends but none of them seem to pick up. You look outside every day to check if the military has made any moves, but other than a couple of helicopters, the military doesn’t seem to be interested in rescuing you any time soon. A few days later, you realize you are running out of food, and regret skipping grocery shopping last week. With no contact, extremely limited food supply, and no military in sight, you become desperate. You have two options. A: Grab your car, go to the nearest grocery store, and get food supplies. B: Stay inside, outside is way too dangerous, plus the military will have the situation under control. The correct answer is A, though very risky, running low on food will guarantee starvation. The military is not very active in the area either, so getting saved in this situation is highly unlikely.
Scenario 4:Whilst driving
over zombies on your way to the grocery store, you instinctively check your phone, and find that there is reception. Calling your friends again wouldn’t hurt, but every single call goes to voicemail. Just as you were about to give up, someone answered. It’s a family friend who works in the military as a nurse, and they happily inform you that they’re working at a military refugee camp just a few hours away, and they’re taking in survivors. With this knowledge and new found hope, you go into the grocery store and find exactly what you were looking for. Luck is on your side. Now that you know what to do during a zombie apocalypse, though I hope you never have to use this information, perhaps it will come in handy if a situation similar to this ever happens.

For many, clothing is important, it affects the way people perceive you, and it can also help you attract certain groups of people and gain better job opportunities. It can help you blend in or stand out. Whatever the case might be, we know that clothing is significant to our identities and the way we come across to others. The types of clothing that will be covered in this article are styles that came about because of changes people wanted to make in the world. This shows that clothing isn’t just a piece of fabric you wear to look good; clothing can bring about improvements in society and can even trigger entire movements. Yami, as in dark or sickly, and kawaii means cute. This style, originating in Japan, alludes to the crisis the country has been facing for years, mental health. Mental health in Japan is a very taboo topic, and there are rarely any good therapy centers to go to, suicide hotlines are filled to the brim with callers and more and more civilians are being worked to death in Japan. In Japan, mental health gets pushed aside and ignored, people don’t talk about it much at all. These are all enough reasons for people to stand up for themselves and to use fashion partly as a way to normalize and express their mental health in a place where support is not very available. With its combination of pastel, dark colors, Menhera Chan attire, and pill chokers decorating the wearer’s throat, yami kawaii fashion is a meaningful way to express yourself. It expresses a very serious topic under all of the cutesy-depressing motifs. Menhera Chan is a recurring figure in yami kawaii fashion. She is an adorable high school girl with pink twin tails and a sailor suit. However, her story is anything but. The story goes as such: she and her friends go off into the world to fight evil using magical cutters. She and her friends suffer from mental health, depression, suicide, suicidal ideation, and notably, self-harm. They are seen in the manga series Menhera Chan. Momoka, the protagonist of this series, was bullied by her classmates. Her mother also committed suicide and her father rarely came home, going on business trips. This caused her to have mental health issues, and the manga is heavily centered around this. The yami kawaii subculture seems to be especially inspired by this manga. Notably,
Bisuko, the creator of the series, gets messages regularly about how Yami Kawaii and Menhera Chan inspire them. Common messages shown on the styles are phrases such as “Kill you” and “sad” ; it also features the color scheme of Yume Kawaii, using pastel pink often. Images such as pills, guns, menhera chan, ropes, and cutters are featured as a common theme throughout the items that are labeled as Yami Kawaii. Yami Kawaii fashion is a unique way to express yourself and your mental health. The topics they center on and advocate for may be hard to look at, but it is seen as distinctly important to erase more stigma and try to normalize the appearance of mental health issues in Japanese culture. And with the Yami Kawaii fashion, people can do just that. The bimbo style is a flamboyant trend, with sparkling heels and pink tracksuits. The word “bimbo” was used as a label to strip humanity and intellect from young women, and on many social media platforms such as TikTok, people are starting to reclaim this word. In the past, the word bimbo held a mostly negative connotation, it was a misogynyridden word that was used to put down women. Now, the definition has widened and changed again into something much more positive and inclusive. Any person of any race, sexual orientation, or gender can become a bimbo.any types of people are welcomed into the community. There are himbos, thembos, and people of different body types and races. People in this community now feel liberated by holding onto the idea of being confident, accepting, and, contrary to what many people might think, challenging misogynistic stereotypes. Comments on TikTok also state that being a bimbo is now, less of appearance and more of mindset. “As long as you don’t understand taxes and hate capitalism, you’re doing perfectly,” says one commenter. Chalpeka Chrissy, a popular influencer on BimboTok also states “a bimbo isn’t dumb, well, she is, but she isn’t that dumb. She’s actually a radical leftist! Who’s pro-sex work, pro BLM, pro lgbtq+, pro-choice and will always be there for girls gays and theys.” Chalpeca adds “I don’t do this for the misogynistic male gaze, I do it for my gaze…It’s about emotional intelligence at the end of the day.” The classic bimbo was also stereotypically described as a blonde, curvaceous, makeupwearing, sexualized woman who is included in stereotypes such as the “dumb blonde”. However, the bimbo style is currently shown to be a way of comfort with yourself, a way to embrace hyperfeminine styles and still
feel sexy in your skin. Bimbos embody hyper-feminism in a way that undermines the authority of the things that have been used historically to put down women. They are playing the part of a dumb blonde though having qualities that challenge the misogynistic meaning of the bimbo, combining stereotypes and feminism, they are reclaiming some of the power from the idea of turning a word that was once derogatory, into something different. Two very different styles with important causes, both Yami Kawaii individuals and bimbos are fighting for ways to improve and make changes to the society around them.

Of Caliber 1. Ragdoll
Ragdolls are the epitome of sweetness, they are considered to be one of the most affectionate and laid back cats. They are also said to be very close to their owners, and I can verify these facts from personal experience with ragdolls. They are intelligent and respond well to schedules and consistency. However, they tend to be clingy, becoming upset when they are left alone for long periods of time. They are also aesthetically pleasing, with numerous colors such as: brown, pale violet, blue (tint of blue), red (tint of red) and cream. Ragdolls also, have strikingly blue eyes, and a long fluffy tail, appearing almost doll-like. Sizewise, they are a bit of a fatter cat, because of the amount of fur covering their body. However, when soaked, they shrink considerably. They aren’t very active, sleeping for most of the day and half heartedly swatting at toys. I suppose this is endearing as well as interesting. They are lovely cats, playing gently, they rarely harm their owners, and are extremely easygoing. On top of this, they are highly tuned in with people’s emotions, understanding when humans are sad, upset, or tired offering support for their owners in times of need. Namely, when my grandmother collapsed from exhaustion, her ragdoll cat came up to her and purred, as if to give comfort. I personally think Ragdolls are amazing cats, although they need attention often and require a consistent schedule in their environment, they can easily win your heart. Truly worthy of the top cat award!

2. Singapura
Singapuras are small sized cats, with males weighing 6-8 lbs and females weighing 4-6. They have huge eyes and small heads, making them look a bit strange compared to the average cat. Singapuras also have small chins, and a slightly muscled body, though my cats are a bit chubbier than the description. Purebred singapuras actually only come in one color, a tannish brown color that appears almost like that of light wood, with black hairs spotting the back and pale colors around their muzzle and chest. Singapuras are playful cats, waiting around you while you do chores such as laundry or dish washing, swatting at water and jumping in the laundry bins. They are very energetic, and full of personality however small they may be. My cats will run around the house at high speeds, jumping on furniture and occasionally using humans as launchpads. They love their owners, are loyal, and very expressive. At least that’s how it is for my cats. (It is important to note that every cat’s personality will vary no matter what breed). They don’t like loud noises, according to the article from ‘Hills Pet Care Center’ website. I know this as well from personal experience, whenever dogs start to bark, an alarm goes off, or a vacuum turns on, they become extremely disturbed and anxious, hissing or running away to seek solace under a chair or bed. These cats also have some issues that are unique to their breed. Due to muscle weakness their kittens are often unable to be properly pushed out during delivery. This means that the kittens may have to be birthed via c section. Another condition you should watch out for if you’re a singapura owner is pyruvate kinase deficiency. This may cause blood related illness in your cat, and can only be treated with bone marrow transplant. Appearance wise, singapuras are peculiar cats, adorable yet interesting, with a personality that would for sure make them a joy to have around. A definite addition deserving of being in the top three.

3. American Shorthair
Albeit common, American shorthairs are a wonderful breed of cat. They are affectionate and enjoy being around people, though, unlike the ragdoll, they are fine by themselves. They are an independent cat that can get along with dogs and other pets quite well. They were originally bred to catch rats, but nowadays they mostly just sit on a bed relaxing. American Shorthairs are a laid back breed, small eared, and have the tendency to gain weight. Last one is a bit random, however this is important as it connects with their dietary needs. They require a low fat diet with balanced fiber and protein; a proper meal, as they have sensitive gut flora. They are truly beautiful cats, medium sized with a short jaw and a thick neck, both females and males can weigh from 6 to 15 pounds.. On top of that, they are easy to groom. Weekly brushing and a good diet are all that is needed for fur care. Stripes are a signature pattern for these cats, Brown tabby and silver tabby are the most common types of American shorthair, however, they come in all kinds of colors and patterns. Eye colors can also vary, from gold eyes to green, blue, copper, and hazel. American shorthairs are wondrous cats, from rat catching to playing with children, they can do a variety of things. They are adaptable and calm pets, with a chubby looking face that easily draws your attention, and soft looking stripes that cover their plump bodies. They have unique qualities that are perfect for a cat lover, understandably worthy of being shown as a cat of caliber.

Add 1/2 TBSP of butter to a heated pan
Add a slice of bread to heated pan
Spread sauce mixture onto slice of bread
Add as many slices of mozzarella cheeze and your choice of meat you would like
In a seperate bowl add 3 TBSPs of marinara sauce, 2 TBSPs of ketchup and, 1 TBSP of kewpie mayonnaise
Cover your pan with a lid and turn the heat down
Finished Product Wait until bread is toasted and cheeze is melted to turn off heat
