Delivering my third child single handedly on a bathroom floor in the Shelbourne Hotel

Get To Know The Cliste & iNUA Hotel Collection Team

What do you do at Cliste?

My role title is Director of People & Culture at Cliste, what I do everyday is support the business in all its peoplerelated needs. My goal is to ensure that everyone across our businesses has a great place to work every day. This means making sure our team members feel rewarded and valued for their contributions, have opportunities to grow their skills and knowledge if they wish, that they trust and feel safe with their team in each hotel.

How does your role interact with the Keadeen Hotel Team?

I’m fortunate to have been invited to meet the Keadeen team when Matthew & Denis acquired the property and I was really delighted to have meet Mrs O’Loughlin & Ana because understanding their values and love for their team and the hotel helped me understand the culture of the hotel. My role in this transition from family to new ownership involves ensuring that every colleague’s question or concern is heard and addressed. It’s about maintaining the strong values that have always defined the Keadeen Hotel for the team and the guests.

Three words that describe you:

A bit nerdy, somewhat introverted, totally unable to limit myself to just three words—and always fair.

What makes you happy?

Spending quality time with the people who matter most to me.

Your proudest achievement to date?

In my career, this is being part of the growth of Cliste Hospitality, building the employer brand that attracts wonderful people to work with us and be part of their development & career milestones and achievements

What advice would you give to the Keadeen Hotel team? Keep doing what you do – you are fabulous!

Marketing Update

The marketing team would like to express our gratitude for your outstanding participation and hard work during the recent photoshoot with Philip and Chris from the marketing team. Your dedication and enthusiasm made a significant impact on the outcome of this two-day photo and video shoot. A special thanks goes out to Tina, Sean, Mary, Aneta, Catherine, Joey, and Sharon for sharing their stories on camera and helping us capture the essence of the Keadeen Hotel. We are excited to share the results of this project with you soon and look forward to continuing to capture more stories and delve deeper into the rich history of the hotel in future shoots. All these new images will be shared across social media and across the website so keep an eye out for this great content.

Training & Systems Update

Members of the management and nights team completed their fire warden training on Monday the 9th of September. As we are preparing the hotel to launch Procure Wizard which is an online procurement application, there was training for the team on Thursday the 12th of September with this platform going live this week. All the hotels purchases will be made through Procure Wizard which gives the hotel access to your local and group suppliers.

Towards the end of September, we will be launching a new time and attendance application called Alkimii. You will be able to download this app to your phone and access your weekly roster, submit holiday requests and see your holiday balance and even clock in and out on your phone. We will also have a new clock in machine located at the current location in the kitchen.

We are putting plans in place to upgrade the hotel wifi network, bedroom door access locks and upgrade the tills in the bar, restaurant and function bars which will enable all your guests to room charge throughout the hotel. We will keep you updated with timelines over the coming weeks as we firm up the rollout plans for these upgrade works.
