Providing frequent, direct services to Manchester, Manchester Airport, London, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Glasgow, the station also links the local network which connects to Lancashire and key West Coast destinations, including Sellafield and Barrow.
Direct access to the M6 motorway at junctions 36 and 37 means Manchester and Scotland can be reached in just over an hour, Leeds and Birmingham in around 2 hours and London and the South East in 4 hours.
