ompany, economy and finance: those three terms, strictly related to our magazine and of common use in the world of investments, in Italian are all Female gender (capital F intended, ed.) and right with these I wanted to draw your attention on the contents of our Magazine n.2, in which we decided to focus on the world of Female enterprising and markets. Although our Country is not famous for pink quotas and even if under this point of view it is still light years away from any other modern State, a certain change of direction is implementing. On January the 11th, Rome, our political Capital, has been for one day the “Capital for women”, rewarding the professional commitment and the success of 76 entrepreneurs, professionals, religious, militaries, teachers, devoted to social associations or the world of art and culture. Female entrepreneurship has been, until now, the most satisfying answer to the crisis, thanks to the ability of organization and construction of solid management relationships in which business, community and family coexist, talents belonging to the Female gender.

We all know the difficulties in enterprising, but always more women believe in it and realize their dream, in spite of a heavy bureaucracy, the difficulties to access credit, most of all because of prejudices and skepticism still existing. So the male colleagues will ask: the secret of success? Simple: the unyielding mentality, the strong need for autonomy, the ability to appeal to family nets, the attitude in being at the client’s disposal and never being afraid of accepting the market challenges… all this supported by a 12 cm heel and perfect hair!

zienda, economia e finanza: questi tre termini, molto attinenti alla nostra testata e di utilizzo comune nel mondo degli investimenti, sono tutti di genere Femminile (maiuscolo non a caso, ndr) e proprio con questi voglio attirare la vostra attenzione sui contenuti della nostra magazine n.2 nella quale abbiamo deciso di porre un ampio focus sul mondo delle aziende e dei mercati al Femminile.

Benchè il nostro paese non sia noto per le famosissime quote rosa e nonostante sotto questo punto di vista sia ancora lontano anni luce da qualunque altro stato moderno, si sta attuando una certa inversione di rotta. L’11 gennaio la nostra capitale politica, Roma, è stata per un giorno la ‘Capitale delle donne’ premiando l’impegno professionale e il successo di 76 imprenditrici, professioniste, religiose, militari, docenti, impegnate nell’associazionismo sociale o nel mondo dell’arte e della cultura. L’imprenditoria femminile è stata finora sicuramente la risposta più soddisfacente alla crisi, grazie anche alla capacità di organizzazione e di costruzione di solide relazioni di management in cui convivono business, comunità e famiglia, tutte doti appartenenti al genere Femminile. Conosciamo tutti le difficoltà del fare impresa ma sempre più donne ci credono e riescono a realizzare il loro sogno, a dispetto di una burocrazia giudicata troppo pesante, delle difficoltà di accesso al credito, soprattutto a fronte di pregiudizi e scetticismo ancora diffusi. Dunque i colleghi uomini si chiederanno: il segreto del successo? Semplice: la mentalità mai arrendevole, il forte desiderio di autonomia, la capacità di ricorrere alle reti familiari, l’attitudine nel mettersi a disposizione del cliente e il non aver mai paura di accettare le sfide del mercato… il tutto supportato da un tacco 12 e una piega perfetta!

pesso non riusciamo a resistere al desiderio di comprare qualcosa di cui in realtà non abbiamo alcun bisogno. Accade anche che quando ci aspettiamo qualcosa oppure pensiamo di meritarla o ancora desideriamo acquistarla ma alla fine non la otteniamo, siamo frustrati. Si potrebbe dire che il denaro ha una grande attrazione sul nostro cervello. Un effetto che può essere paragonato a quello di una droga. Infatti quando manipoliamo del denaro, compriamo o vendiamo qualcosa, il cervello presenta attività che sono collegate all’elaborazione neuronale del piacere e della dipendenza. Quando gli individui hanno la possibilità di guadagnare facilmente del denaro, il cervello rilascia la dopamina che è una sostanza chimica che interviene nei processi di motivazione.

Nel caso in cui il circuito della dopamina si rompa, si parla di dipendenza. Infatti i meccanismi di rilascio e riassorbimento della dopamina sono chiamati in causa nei tossicodipendenti. Quindi si può dire che abbiamo con il denaro un rapporto di dipendenza. Indipendentemente da come un soggetto ottenga denaro, quando un soggetto se ne appropria, si attiva il circu-

It happens also when we are waiting for something or we think we deserve it or we want to buy it but in the end when we don’t get it we feel frustrated. We can say that money have a big appeal on our brain. An effect that can be compared to that of a drug. In fact when we handle some money, when we buy or sell something, our brain presents activities that are linked to the neuronal processing of pleasure and addiction. When people have the chance to easily earn money, the brain releases dopamine, which is a chemical substance intervening during the motivation processes. If the dopamine network breaks, we talk about addiction. In fact the dopamine release and reabsorption mechanisms are implicated in drug addicts.

So we can say that we have an addictive relationship with money. Independently from how a person obtains money, when

Il denaro ha una grande attrazione sul nostro cervello.. ito cerebrale della gratificazione. Ma solo quando un individuo ottiene il denaro perché ha compiuto un’azione, arrogandosi la responsabilità del guadagno, si attiva lo striato che è la zona del cervello legata al piacere. Quindi vogliamo il denaro ma per provare piacere vogliamo fare qualcosa per averlo. Questa affermazione sembra smentire il fatto che il denaro sia una droga perché un tossicodipendente non è interessato al modo in cui ottiene la propria dose. Per poter dimostrare che il denaro crea dipendenza bisogna tenere conto della motivazione ad ottenerlo e la frustrazione quando non lo si ottiene. Generalmente tendiamo a non impegnarci troppo in qualcosa che non ci consentirà di ottenere molto, mentre invece ci impegnamo a fondo se sappiamo di ricevere una buona ricompensa. La motivazione è direttamente proporzionale al guadagno.

Ma la motivazione è discreta, se non addirittura inconscia. Quindi il denaro può essere alla base di motivazioni inconsce.

Quando siamo motivati inconsciamente o consapevolmente, si attiva la stessa zona del cervello ma una motivazione inconscia è certamente più potente di una conscia.

Infatti i tossicodipendenti sanno bene quali effetti hanno le droghe ma non riescono a smettere di abusarne. La stessa zona del cervello, che si attiva quando siamo motivati a compiere un’azione, viene chia-

When we are subconsciously or consciously motivated, the same part of the brain is activated, but a subconscious motivation is surely stronger. In fact, drug addicts, know what effects the drugs have but they cannot stop the abuse. The same part of the brain, activating when we are motivated to do something, is also involved in addictions. Also frustration and a sense of deprivation are consequences of the addiction. But they are two moods that can concern money too. When we don’t get the amount of money that we thought we

Anche la frustrazione e il senso di privazione sono conseguenze della dipendenza. Ma sono anche due stati d’animo che possono riguardare il denaro. Quando non riceviamo una somma di denaro che pensavamo di meritare o che desideravamo, siamo frustrati. La frustrazione è una sofferenza emotiva e quando la proviamo, si attiva un’area del cervello legata al disgusto fisico e morale nonché all’ingiustizia sociale. Non importa per quale motivo non abbiamo ricevuto i soldi, siamo in uno stato di sofferenza emotiva. In passato si affermava tradizionalmente che il denaro era utile al fine di acquistare qualcosa di cui si aveva bisogno o che si desiderava. Si pensava che il denaro fosse solo un mezzo utile per ottenere qualcosa.

Ma queste opinioni passatiste sono state largamente smentite dalla neuroeconomia attuale. Il denaro non è soltanto un mezzo ma è un fine in sé, vale per sé secondo il nostro cervello. Siccome il denaro è cruciale in molte interazioni umane, si attivano nel cervello le parti legate all’elaborazione delle gratificazioni primarie e si innescano gli stessi meccanismi che si incontrano nelle tossicodipendenze.

“L

a ripresa, dice Mario Draghi, resta incerta. I rischi prevalgono ancora sulle certezze: la crescita si farà attendere ancora almeno fino a metà anno (più verosimilmente l’autunno) e sarà debole. In Italia sarà ancora più debole che nel resto d’Europa. Questo scenario, non nuovissimo, è aggravato dal risultato del voto: con un Parlamento sostanzialmente ingovernabile sarà difficile, se non impossibile, mettere mano alle riforme di cui l’economia del paese ha un bisogno sempre più pressante (ormai quasi disperato).

Non si troverà un accordo, tanto per fare un esempio, per completare la riforma del lavoro: così i giovani continueranno a consumarsi nel limbo di un mondo produttivo che non ha le forze per proporre occasioni da cogliere. Sarà difficile dare una spinta all’aggiornamento tecnologico del paese: l’agenda digitale finirà in soffitta e con lei le opportunità di sviluppo e di creazione di ricchezza che si porta dietro. Altrettanto difficile, di conseguenza, sarà muoversi su un mercato finanziario che ha atteso le elezioni sperando in uno scossone che avrebbe potuto liberare energie positive. Vinceranno, insomma, le posizioni conservative.

Per i metalli industriali le quotazioni sono in leggera discesa: le pressioni a vendere si devono al sentore che il manifatturiero cinese è pronto a riprendere lo slancio dei periodi migliori. Pechino insomma tornerà a rifornirsi in modo massiccio.

Attenzione ai prezzi dell’oro, che continuano a galleggiare intorno a 1.600 dollari l’oncia. Gli investitori stanno alleggerendo le loro posizioni – sia in oro fisico sia in Etf -, gli analisti scommettono che il prezzo non si allontanerà tanto presto dai 1.600 dollari: il metallo giallo può essere un’ottima soluzione per completare un portafoglio (nella sua componente non aggressiva).

Molta cautela, infine, con i titoli bancari: instabilità politica e debolezza della ripresa peseranno ancora per i prossimi mesi. Su questo scenario si colloca lo sforzo che le banche stanno portando a termine per aggiornare i loro coefficienti agli standard di sicurezza di Basilea. Con tutto il resto del Paese, anche i mercati finanziari attendono una fase di stabilità per liberare le loro energie migliori. Sotto questo punto di vista, la seconda metà dell’anno dovrebbe garantire i primi spiragli di un miglioramento vero.

Carefully, in the end, with bank stocks: political instability and weak recovery will burden again for the next few months. On this scenario fits the effort that the banks are carrying out in order to update their coefficients with the Basel safety standards. With the whole Country, also financial markets are waiting for a phase of stability to release their best energies. Under this point of view, the second half of the year should guarantee the first glimmers of a real improvement.

ccorre guardare ai Paesi del nord Europa se si vuole fare un investimento sicuro, o quanto meno al riparo dagli scossoni dei mercati.

Secondo una ricerca degli analisti di Saxo Bank le divise di Norvegia, Danimarca e Svezia sono diventate le più ricercate per i rendimenti che oscillano tra 1,5% e 3,5% battendo i bund tedeschi ormai da mesi stabili al minimo sindacale intorno all’1,3%.

Gli analisti considerano ormai le divise di questi Paesi, piattaforme sicure e vantaggiose per chi ha intenzione di investire dei capitali, perfino migliori del classico bene rifugio dell’oro che al netto della rendita soffre come ovvio le oscillazioni legate al petrolio. La Norvegia non ha adottato l’euro ma ha un debito pubblico bassissimo: anzi, è addirittura in attivo grazie alla vendita del greggio che serve per tenere sotto controllo la spesa pubblica, notoriamente molto alta in tutti i Paesi del grande Nord. Stando alle statistiche sciorinate dagli analisti neanche la Svizzera, ultimamente, riesce a stare al passo con le rendite scandinave. Vale lo stesso discorso per la Danimarca la quale pur non avendo scelto la strada dell’euro ha un andamento

Il mantenimento di conti pubblici in ordine, pur garantendo l’alto livello dei servizi sociali e realizzando opere pubbliche già in programma, rimane un punto fondamentale per il nuovo Governo. Un investimento in corone danesi ha quindi un rischio di cambio estremamente limitato.

Solidità finanziaria e conti in ordine sono i punti di forza della Danimarca. Secondo l’associazione Altroconsumo che ha analizzato oltre 60 bond in corone danesi, con affidabilità eccellente (AAA) o ottima (con rating compreso tra AA1 e AA2 per Moody), con scadenze tra 5 e 7 anni, è stato scelto Kingdom of Denmark 4% 15/06/2017 (Isin DK0009902728). Il titolo, se acquistato al prezzo di 109,4, offrirà un rendimento pari all’1,53% al netto delle tasse e di commissioni d’acquisto pari all’1%, circa lo 0,56%

The same goes for Denmark which despite not choosing the Euro path, has a currency trend, the Danish Krone, well hooked to the Euro since 1998, through a mechanism that allows it not to oscillate for more than 2,5% around the established level of exchange.

The public debt of 2010 stopped around the 43,7% of GNP (just to compare, that of Germany was about 3,3% and that of the whole Euro zone 6%). Maintaining public finances in order, always guaranteeing the high level of social services and realizing public works already planned, remain a key issue for the new Government. An investment in Danish Krone has therefor a change risk likely limited. Financial solidity and counts in order are the strengths of Denmark. Gli investimenti che garantiscono un rendimento sicuro si possono cercare anche in Paesi come la Nuova Zelanda l’Australia e il Canada. In passato chi aveva investito nel dollaro neozelandese ha spuntato una percentuale anche del 5% ma recentemente questa divisa si è molto apprezzata rispetto all’euro. lla faccia dei luoghi comuni (e delle superstizioni). Ce la vedreste, voi, una distinta signora con calce e secchio in mano e un cappello di carta a forma di barchetta calato sulla testa? Ecco, forse no. E invece, in tutta Italia, ci sono quasi 67mila aziende che lavorano nell’edilizia che hanno una donna al comando. Ok, forse non è proprio lei la prima a mettere mano alle operazioni in cantiere, ma non è neanche detto. E comunque, il genere femminile si trova talmente a suo agio a ragionare di mattoni, impianti e ristrutturazioni che nel corso del 2012 – stagione falcidiata dalla crisi e dai suoi effetti negativi – nel Paese non solo le aziende edili in rosa non sono diminuite, ma sono addirittura aumentate. Con tanto di sberleffo a recessione e pessimismo. Nel giro di 12 mesi, infatti, hanno aperto i battenti oltre 700 attività in più rispetto all’anno prima.

Un saldo positivo, ma soprattutto in netta controtendenza con quello che è l’andamento generale del settore, che ha visto invece l’edilizia nel suo complesso dover rinunciare a qualcosa come 12mila aziende nel Paese. Attualmente, dunque, operano sul nostro territorio nazionale 899mila

Maybe not. And instead, all over Italy, there are almost 67 thousand enterprises working in the construction sector leaded by a woman. Ok, maybe she doesn’t actually do the building site work, but one can never know. And anyway, female gender is so comfortable working with bricks, implants and renovations that during 2012 – a season decimated by the crisis and its negative effects – in Italy not only the enterprises in pink did not diminish, but they actually increased. A grimace against recession and pessimism. In about 12 months, in fact, compared to last year more than 700 new enterprises started their activities. A positive balance, but most of all in countertrend with the general pace of the sector, that instead saw the whole construction industry having to give up something like 12 thou-

. .Un tempo si pensava che le donne in cantiere non ci dovessero stare.. e 352 imprese edili. Di queste, quasi il 7.5% sono rosa. E uno sberleffo va anche a quelle credenze senza alcun fondamento, ma che puntualmente riemergono nel sentire comune: un tempo, infatti, si pensava che le donne, in cantiere, non ci dovessero stare. O meglio, non dovevano entrare in una galleria in lavorazione. Perché portava male. Il motivo? Vai a dissotterrarlo da secoli di passaparola e scarsa razionalità. Ma tant’è che, in un mondo già scarsamente femminista e paritario, le donne in edilizia dovevano pure affrontare e superare questo tipo di impedimenti. E non parliamo certo di secoli fa: “Ho cominciato ad andare in cantiere che avevo tre mesi, visto che il mio bisnonno lavorava in questo settore, così come mio nonno e mio padre. Per me è stato naturale, ci passavo anche alcune vacanze, in giro per cantieri. Ed è così che ho iniziato ad amare questo lavoro, che per me è diventato una vera e propria malattia”, confida Patrizia Mattioda, vicepresidente del Collegio Costruttori del suo territorio, ma soprattutto titolare, insieme ai suoi fratelli, dell’azienda di famiglia. Proprio lei si è dovuta scontrare con le superstizioni della donna in galleria: “Quando ho iniziato era un pensiero ancora molto diffuso. Chissà perché, le donne non dovevano entrare in una galleria durante le lavorazioni. Ma io ci sono sempre entrata e non è mai successo nulla”. E ci mancherebbe pure, ci sarebbe da aggiungere. “Ora non esiste più questa credenza – aggiunge Mattioda – ma, in realtà (ride) non esistono nemmeno più tante gallerie da costruire”. L’ingresso nel mondo dell’edilizia, dal punto di vista lavorativo, è avvenuto dopo la laurea: “Avevo circa 25 anni, ma nel frattempo ho fatto

Why? We should dig it out from centuries of word of mouth and lack of rationality. But in an already poorly feminist and equal world, women of the building sector had to face and win these kind of obstacles. And we are not talking about centuries ago: “I started to go to the construction site when I was three months old, since my great-grandfather worked in this field, just like my grandfather and my father. For me it was natural, I used to spend even some vacations going around the building sites. And this is how I started to love this job that for me became a true obsession”, confides Patrizia Mattioda, vice-president of the Constructors Constituency of her territory, but most of all owner, together with her brothers, of the family company. Precisely, she had to confront the superstitions about a woman in a gallery: “When I started it was a quite common thought. Who knows why, women could not enter in a gallery during the construction. But I’ve always entered and nothing ever happened”. And god forbid it even, one might say. “Now this belief is no longer existing – Mattioda adds – but, to tell you the truth (she laughs) there are not so many galleries to build anymore”. Her entry in the construction world, from a working point of view, came after her degree: “I

I have to say that I have never met any resistance in the field. And also now with the crisis, even though existing for all the professions, I’m happy to do at least what I love”. Same feelings and same experiences for Chiara Borio, also vice-president of her Constructors Constituency, as well as Managing Director of the company that has her surname.

“I think that right now, the only way of access for a woman in the construction world is by inheritance. Starting from zero is much more difficult. Whereas I am following my father and my grandfather’s steps. My grandfather opened the company in 1932 and I came after my father, as soon as I got my graduation. I had other projects, but how can you say no to the family business?” The current situation is tough (“But in the end passion wins”), but most of all, the impact with this sector, masculine and chauvinist, was rude. “It was tough, at the beginning. I arrived with a little experience and the label of the boss’s daughter. So I choose to arrive on tiptoe and, for a lot of time, speak a little and listen a lot. Just after a few years, in which one acquires a certain competence and is known, consideration can be obtained. It is fundamental the respect for roles, without overcoming anyone”. The same recipe that is useful outside the company, in the associative world: “At the beginning of my experience in the Constructors Constituency there were few women and for this reason it was interesting to work in a reality with a pretty “masculine” image and historical background.

Today the situation is different, most of all, thanks to the new generations of businessmen and businesswomen that are taking over their fathers”. At home, Chiara Borio has a 3 years old daughter. Does the tradition have a new descendant? “Right now I don’t think so. But who knows what will happen in 20 years”.

Stesse sensazioni e stesse esperienze per Chiara Borio, anche lei vicepresidente del suo Collegio costruttori, nonché amministratore Unico dell’azienda che porta il suo cognome. “Credo che al momento, l’unica via d’accesso per una donna al mondo dell’edilizia sia quella per linea ereditaria. Partendo da zero, è molto più difficile. Mentre io sono figlia e nipote d’arte. Mio nonno aprì l’azienda nel 1932 e dopo mio padre sono arrivata io, appena laureata. Avevo anche altri progetti, ma come si fa a dire di no all’azienda di famiglia?”. Dura la situazione attuale (“Ma alla fine vince la passione”), ma ruvido soprattutto l’impatto con questo settore, molto maschile e un po’ maschilista. “E’ stata dura, all’inizio. Sono arrivata con poca esperienza e con l’etichetta della figlia del titolare. Quindi ho scelto di presentarmi in punta di piedi e, per molto tempo, parlare poco e ascoltare molto. Solo dopo anni, in cui si acquisisce una certa competenza e ci si fa conoscere per davvero, si ottiene anche la considerazione. E’ fondamentale il rispetto dei ruoli, senza prevaricare nessuno”. La stessa ricetta che vale anche al di fuori dell’azienda, nel mondo associativo: “All’inizio della mia esperienza nel Collegio Costruttori c’erano poche donne e proprio per questo è stato stimolante lavorare in una realtà dall’immagine e dal trascorso storico piuttosto ‘maschile’. Oggi la situazione è un po’ cambiata soprattutto grazie alle nuove generazioni di imprenditori e imprenditrici che subentrano ai padri”. A casa Chiara Borio ha una bimba di 3 anni.

La tradizione ha una nuova discendente?

“Al momento credo di no. Ma chissà tra 20 anni cosa accadrà”.

ichail Gorbaciov dal 1985 al 1991 è propugnatore dei processi di riforma legati alla Perestrojka e alla Glasnost e protagonista della catena di eventi che hanno portato alla dissoluzione dell’Urss e alla riunificazione della Germania. Nel 1982 un giovane di 22 anni (nato a Reading, Usa il 4 maggio) si divertiva ad “imbrattare” lo zoccolo del Palazzo delle Esposizioni di Roma a via Nazionale e in seguito le pareti trasparenti della metropolitana linea A tratto FlaminioLepanto della capitale. Nel 1992 a due anni dalla scomparsa di Keith Haring un folle, a quel tempo sindaco di Roma decideva che quegli “scarabocchi” dovevano essere eliminati in occasione della visita in Italia dello statista che aveva cancellato la guerra fredda. Un uomo è passato alla storia per aver contribuito a “cancellare” anni di tensione tra USA e URSS e un personaggio della politica italiana per aver impedito alle nuove generazioni di ammirare i graffiti, capolavori di uno dei più grandi artisti contemporanei. Keith Haring aveva dipinto anche l’interno del negozio Fiorucci di Milano e i suoi disegni sono stati strappati e rivenduti a un asta in Francia. E pensa-

In 1992, after two years of Keith Haring’s death, an insane person, the Mayor of Rome at that period, decided that those “doodles” had to be deleted before the Italian visit of the statist that canceled the cold war. A man went down in history for his contribution to “delete” years of tension between USA and URSS and an Italian politician for preventing the new generations to admire the graffiti, masterpieces of one of the greatest contemporary ar-

re che il ragazzo che attraverso “gli omini”, attraverso l’amicizia di Warhol (come sempre pigmalione dei più grandi e innovativi esponenti dell’arte di fine XX secolo) era riuscito in un impresa come ottenere il riconoscimento mondiale partendo dalla strada, in Italia perdeva proprio la sua identità di partenza: giocare in libertà sui muri anonimi delle città! Solo Pisa conserva ancora il suo ultimo grande murales del 1989 dedicato alla pace universale e intitolato “Tuttomondo”. Ma torniamo all’uomo - gay dichiarato - che nel 1988, dopo che gli fu diagnosticato l’Aids decise di creare una fondazione per aiutare le persone sieropositive e che morì per complicazioni legate alla malattia il 16 febbraio 1990. Era nato artisticamente a Pittsburg da un padre fumettista e dopo essersi trasferito a 19 anni a New York per studiare alla School of Visual Arts iniziò a farsi conoscere con i suoi murales e dipingendo i suoi omini essenziali con contorni spessi e colori vivi sulla metropolitana della Grande Mela. Esporre al CLUB 57, noto night club dell’East Village frequentato da artisti e musicisti fu il giusto trampolino di lancio e l’idea di aprire a Soho un negozietto dove vendere le riproduzioni delle sue opere d’arte e dove vedere l’ar-

tists. Keith Haring also painted the inside of the Fiorucci shop in Milan and his drawings have been ripped off and sold during an auction in France. Just think that this young man through the “little men”, thanks to his friendship with Warhol (as always the Pygmalion of one of the greatest and most innovative exponent of art at the end of the 20th century) was able to accomplish a deed such as obtaining a worldwide fame starting from the street, in Italy was losing his identity from the start: freely play on the anonymous walls of the cities! Only Pisa still has his big mural from 1989 dedicated to the universal peace and entitled “All-world”. But let’s go back to the man – openly gay – that in 1988, after he was diagnosed with AIDS decided to open a foundation to help HIV positive people and that died for complications of this disease in February, the 16th 1990. He was artistically born in Pittsburg from a cartoonist father, and after he moved in New York at the age of 19 to study at the School of Visual Arts he started to be known in the subway with his murals and painting his basic little men with thick outlines and vivid colors on the metro trains of the Big Apple. Exhibiting at the CLUB 57, a well known night club in the

tista al lavoro gratuitamente, fece sì che la sua popolarità diventasse planetaria. Il concetto di Haring sull’arte era che rivendicando la commercializzazione a basso costo delle sue opere era come se non tradisse l’origine del suo lavoro e ne desse una continuità fruibile a tutti. La Swatch decise di affidargli la creazione di alcuni orologi a basso costo e qui “L’Omino” di Haring divenne il Gigante iconografico del suo stile. E’ naturale che un artista come Haring, esposto nelle gallerie più importanti di cinque continenti non sia di facile accesso. Un amico possiede uno skate originale disegnato da Haring e vi assicuro che è un pezzo unico e meraviglioso ma, mantenendo vivo il concetto dell’artista per cui le sue copie sono comunque la sua arte è bello avere una tazza, un piatto, una stampa, qualcosa di significativo di Keith Haring anche solo per sorridere pensando a quello che dai “Subway Drawings” il ragazzo della Pennsylvania era riuscito a raggiungere. Se vi capita di andare al Convento di Sant’Antonio resterete ammaliati da cosa sia stato capace di far diventare un incontro casuale con uno studente pisano.

A friend of mine has an original skateboard drew by Haring and I assure you that is a wonderful unique piece but, keeping alive the artist’s concept for whom his copies are anyhow his art, it is good to have a mug, a plate, a print something significant of Keith Haring, even just to smile thinking about what the “Subway Drawings” guy from Pennsylvania was able to achieve. If you will ever go see the Saint Anthony Convent you will be amazed by what was able to create a random meeting with a student

L’arte, come la politica, non è per tutti! ta personaggi su una superficie di 180 metri quadrati, oltre al piacere della vista soddisferà anche la vostra ricerca continua e istintiva sul linguaggio come forma comunicativa attraverso il segno. Questo è quello che l’arte di Keith Haring ha significato e significa per i molti che lo apprezzano, che desiderano vedere dal vivo una sua opera (esposte tra l’altro in tutte le gallerie di arte contemporanea più famose al mondo): il semplice ragazzo stempiato e occhialuto che con un pennello tracciava un segno continuo nero, senza bozzetto, senza titubare nel tratto ma perseguendo una logica dettata dalla ragione di essere un artista e non di farlo. Oggi non parliamo di come investire il vostro denaro, di come sia banale acquistare - avendone i mezzi - un’opera di Haring, oggi vogliamo perpetrare quello che era il desiderio dell’artista di divulgare ai più la conoscenza delle sue opere. Quindi se vi capita di andare a New York, Londra a Tokyo acquistate un magnete da frigorifero, una tazza, una cartolina che di solito si trovano nei negozi di souvenir per turisti, al prezzo di 1,50 dollari: sarete universalmente riconosciuti come dei cultori dell’arte di Haring anche dopo 23 anni dalla sua morte e il già dimenticato sindaco di Roma del 1992… (beh, visto che non vi ricordate chi fosse evito di rammentarvelo io) avrà perso l’occasione di poter dire ai suoi nipoti: “vedete ragazzi qualche idiota avrebbe voluto cancellare questi capolavori ma io mi sono imposto e ho evitato che questo accadesse”. Keith Haring per fortuna è rappresentato ovunque e ogni volta che girerà per il mondo dovrà dire a se stesso: “Ecco un’altra delle sciocchezze che ho fatto in politica”. E’ vero caro ex sindaco, l’arte come la politica non è per tutti!

So if you are in New York, London or Tokyo just buy a fridge magnet, a mug, a postcard that usually are found in the tourist gift shops for 1,50 dollars: you will be universally recognized as Haring’s art lovers, even after 23 years from his death and the already forgotten Rome mayor from 1992… (well, since you don’t remember who he was I’m not going to remind you) He lost is chance to say to his grandchildren: “You see guys, some idiot wanted to delete those pieces of art but I stepped in and avoided this to happen”.

Keith Haring, luckily enough, is represented everywhere and every time that he will go around the world he will be forced to say to himself: “Here is another stupid things that I did”. It is true, dear ex-mayor, art like politics is not for everyone!

“C

arolina Kostner qual’é il ricordo più bello legato ai suoi esordi?

Ho tanti bei ricordi legati sia allo sport che alla mia vita privata. Il mio ricordo più bello è quello legato alle Olimpiadi invernali di Torino 2006 per le quali ho portato la bandiera italiana nello stadio. E’ stato per me un momento davvero fantastico. La mia giovane età probabilmente non mi ha permesso in quel momento di riconoscere davvero il valore di ciò che accadeva; ripensandoci è stata davvero un’esperienza bellissima.

Quanto i suoi genitori hanno influenzato la sua scelta professionale?

In realtà non mi sono resa subito conto di quanto i miei genitori abbiano fatto realmente per me. Solo ora che gestisco gli aspetti finanziari che mi riguardano, l’organizzazione dei viaggi e la gestione del materiale utile al mio sport, riconosco tutto il lavoro che c’era dietro e che loro hanno fatto per me. Comunque mi hanno sempre lasciato libertà di scelta, spronandomi a far bene ma senza pressioni o obblighi.

arolina Kostner what is the best memory you have about the beginning of your career?

I have so many good memories both about sport and my private life. My best memory is the one at the winter Olympics in Turin 2006 for which I was the bearer of the Italian Flag inside the stadium. For me it was a wonderful moment. My young age didn’t allow me, in that moment, to recognize the value of what was happening; if I think about it again, I know that it was a beautiful experience.

Tante ore di allenamento e tante rinunce… se potesse tornare indietro nel tempo cosa non rifarebbe?

E’ sempre difficile guardarsi indietro e chiedersi “se avessi fatto”… Da giovane ho avuto il coraggio, ovviamente appoggiata dai miei genitori, di fare scelte importanti che fortunatamente sono andate a buon fine. Se guardo al mio passato per molte situazioni, oggi mi sento molto più matura e molto più esperta. In fin dei conti si impara sbagliando, cadendo e rialzandosi… anche se è stato difficile, sono grata delle lezioni che ho imparato.

How much did your parents influence your professional choice?

To tell you the truth I suddenly recognized how much my parents did for me. Just now that I’m in charge with the financial aspects of my life, the travels organization and management of the equipment for my sport, I recognize all the work that was behind it and that they did for me. Anyway, they always gave me the freedom to choose, encouraging me to do my best but without any pressure or obligation.

iniziato quasi al buio e il resto si è sviluppato strada facendo. Chiaramente ho avuto delle difficoltà poiché arrivavo da un paese piccolino ed, essendo una ragazza timida e riservata, è stata dura ma la passione per questo sport mi ha dato sempre il coraggio e la forza di rimettermi in piedi. Oggi sento la possibilità di restituire qualcosa al mio pubblico, facendo loro dimenticare per un po’ i problemi quotidiani in una serata di spettacolo.

So many hours of training and so many sacrifices… If you could go back in time what wouldn’t you do?

It is always difficult to look behind and say to ourselves “if I had done”… As a young girl I had the courage, obviously supported by my parents, to make important choices that luckily went through pretty well. If I look at my past for many situation, today I feel more mature and much more experienced.

At the end of the day we learn by making mistakes, falling and rising again… even if it was hard, I’m grateful for the lessons I’ve learned.

Rigore, disciplina e dieta sono un mix fondamentale per chi pratica sport a livelli agonistici come lei. E’ stato difficile adeguarsi a questo stile di vita?

Sono una persona molto disciplinata, è la mia natura. Anche a scuola mi piaceva impegnarmi, ero molto ordinata, infatti non ho mai avuto grandi difficoltà. In adolescenza ho vissuto in ritardo le esperienze dei miei coetanei perché vivevo in collegio e non ne avevo le opportunità. In realtà ho avuto la possibilità di viaggiare per il mondo e conoscere tanti paesi e questa è un’esperienza per la quale lo sport ti costringe a crescere più velocemente. In ogni caso qualsiasi cosa avessi deciso di fare, ho sempre avuto l’ambizione di farla bene.

Thanks to you ice-skating became a loved and followed sport. Are you aware of your role in this?

At the beginning I felt growing an interest for this discipline of which I was aware of but I was not completely conscious about it. I started almost in the dark and the rest developed along the way. Clearly I had some difficulties because I come from a small town and, being a shy and discreet girl, it was hard but the passion for this sport constantly gave me the courage and the strength to go back on my feet. Today I feel the opportunity to give something back to my audience, helping them to forget for a while about everyday problems during a night of the show.

Quali sono ora i suoi obiettivi più immediati legati ad un sogno ancora non realizzato?

Prima o poi arriverà il momento in cui dovrò pensare a cosa farò dopo e quale sarà il mio futuro. Intanto mi sento come se stessi vivendo il mio sogno e cerco di godermelo perché mi rendo conto di essere molto fortunata; d’altra parte il mio più grande desiderio è quello di partecipare ancora alle Olimpiadi… anche non vincendo una medaglia ma tornando a casa con un sorriso, qualunque sia il risultato, poiché è sempre un’esperienza positiva.

Severity, discipline and dieting are the essential mix for athletes of competitive levels as you are. Was it difficult to adapt to this lifestyle?

I’m a very disciplined person, it is my nature. Also at school I liked to work hard, I was very neat, and in fact I’ve never had big difficulties. During my adolescence I’ve lived the experiences delayed compared to my peers because I used to live in a boarding school and I didn’t have the opportunities.

Actually I had the chance to travel around the world and get to know different countries and this is an experience for which the sport forces you to grow up faster. In any case whatever I decided to do, I’ve always had the ambition to do it well.

Parliamo anche un po’ di fashion…i suoi abiti di scena sono splendidi, quanto ritiene possano influenzare la sua performance?

Sono una persona molto creativa e pratico solo sport. La mia mente ha anche neces-

E sità di essere impegnata in altri settori, così disegno i miei costumi insieme al mio sarto, unendo le nostre idee e la nostra creatività.

Sappiamo che ha anche collaborato con un brand di moda disegnando abiti per bambini decorati con Swarovski Elements. Quanto l’ha gratificata questa sua vena talentuosa?

Non posso definirmi una vera designer. Ho avuto questa possibilità di collaborazione ed è stata per me un’esperienza fantastica.

Ho visto le bimbe felici di avere sulla loro maglietta la mia immagine. Ci sarebbero ancora molte idee da poter realizzare ma ho difficoltà con la gestione del tempo poiché gli allenamenti mi occupano tutta la giornata.

What are now your most immediate goals about a dream not yet realized?

Sooner or later the moment in which I’ll have to think about what I will do later and what my future will be will arrive. In the meantime I feel like I am living my dream and I try to enjoy it because I know that I’m very lucky; on the other hand my biggest wish is to participate again at the Olympic games… even not winning a medal but coming back home with a smile, whatever may be the result, because it is always a positive experience.

...E per concludere ci racconti come occupa il suo tempo libero: le piace viaggiare e quali mete preferisce?

Per me è già difficile viaggiare tra la Germania e l’Italia, così molto spesso preferisco restare in un unico posto. Durante l’anno viaggio molto e, se posso, resto volentieri a casa tra le mie amate montagne. A volte vado fuori per il weekend con le mie amiche o con i miei genitori, principalmente in luoghi estivi visto che pratico uno sport invernale.

Amo tanto andare al cinema e leggere libri di letteratura classica. Il mondo dello sport è legato al fare ma è anche bello poter impegnare i pensieri e la propria fantasia.

Let’s talk a bit about fashion… your stage costumes are wonderful, in your opinion how much do they affect your performance?

I’m a very creative person and I just practice sport. My mind has the need to be involved in other fields, so I design my own costumes with my tailor, joining together our ideas and creativity.

We know that you also collaborated with a fashion brand designing children clothes decorated with Swaroski Elements. How much were you satisfied with this talent of yours?

I cannot define myself as a designer. I’ve had this opportunity to collaborate and it was an amazing experience for me. I’ve seen the girls happy to have my image on their t-shirt.

There are still many more ideas to realize but I have difficulties managing my time because the training takes the whole day. …And finally, please tell us how you spend your free time: do you like to travel and what are your favorite destinations?

For me it is already difficult to travel between Germany and Italy, so pretty often I prefer to stay in one place. During the year I travel a lot and, if I can, I enjoy staying at home among my beloved mountains. Sometimes I go out for the weekend with my friends or my parents, most of all in summer places, given the fact that I practice a winter sport. I love to go to the cinema and read books of classical literature. The sport world is about doing but it is also nice to be able to engage my thoughts and my imagination.

o stile è una forma costante d’arte e chi meglio di Lapo Elkann poteva pensare di pubblicare un libro sullo stile, il suo, quello tanto blasonato e sdoganato oltre che importato fuori dai confini italiani. All’auditorium del Museo dell’Automobile di Torino assieme all’architetto Benedetto Camerana, alla stilista Kristina Ti, al vicepresidente della Sirp Fabrizio Giugiaro e al sarto globetrotter Alessandro Martorana, il quattro volte best dressed man, Lapo Edvard Elkann, presenta il suo primo libro e lo fa cavalcando l’onda di uno stile che lo ha reso internazionale. Con loro una platea stracolma di colleghi, amici, la famiglia Agnelli, gli addetti ai lavori che lo guardano sotto i baffi, gli sportivi che ne rintracciano nelle sue scelte le tendenze che saranno, le ex veline, le Iene “ridens” non accolti dal favore del pubblico dopo il rompete le righe. Lapo si difende un po’ per il suo passato, un po’ perché in Italia funziona così e lo fa con un laconico “L’imprenditore che lavora sul bello e’ giudicato sempre su ciò’ che fa”. E dargli torto sarebbe quanto mai ipocrita. Non vuole insegnare nulla ma solo raccontare i suoi pezzi di cielo, la vita vissuta, i brand scelti, i dictat da rispettare per essere Lapo più che Elkann, quelli che lo portano sin da bambino dentro un’autovettura a fare il “grande”. Lui che ama definirsi un “Italiano internazionale” e che al posto dei piedi vorrebbe le ruote. Un libro che parla ad immagini, come quelle che scorrono lente durante la conferenza stampa. Si dà un compito “non essere contento ma rendere contenti gli altri”, fa un ritratto dell’Italia che non passa mai di moda con la curiosità, a divenire l’arma migliore, anche più del conto in banca. Su questo abbiamo qualche dubbio ma la frase che chiude la conferenza stampa è emblematica del talento creativo che si cela dietro questo ragazzo così legato al made in italy: “I prototipi li guardavo come un bambino guarda le caramelle”. A noi basta per puntare su di lui, per credere che certi cervelli in fuga magari andranno ma solo per dare respiro a quel tricolore così tanto stropicciato. Buona lettura.

ulla di nuovo, sotto questo timido sole che annuncia la primavera, lasciando presagire una stagione calda ed avvolgente. Le donne hanno una passione insostitubile, inevitabile, ineliminabile. Anzi, due: le scarpe. Non esiste essere umano di genere femminile che non abbia mai ceduto ad acquistare l’ennesimo paio di décolleté, che non si sia fatta convincere a prendere un nuovo paio di stivali, che non sia uscita di casa per fare la spesa, per rientrarvi con dei sandali fiammanti. Potrebbe definirsi quasi una patologia (incurabile, naturalmente) il desiderio continuo e spasmodico di noi donne di possedere scarpe su scarpe. Fatto sta che un abito cambia radicalmente, con la scarpa giusta, e una mise si tinge di un’allure nuova e frizzante, con una calzatura nuova al piede. Trascorso un inverno dallo stile decisamente classico, con stivali declinati in più versioni, dal tipico scamosciato con tacco alto, al borchiato in pelle con rialzo cubano, ci apprestiamo ad affrontare l’entrante primavera con scarpe decisamente più leggere e sfiziose. Le sfilate milanesi dello scorso autunno ci hanno regalato degli spunti tanto interessanti,

La primavera alle porte ci riporterà ad un must di un paio di anni fa.. quanto sorprendenti. Se, infatti, l’inverno ha visto protagonisti tacchi vertiginosi e plateau da capogiro (Lady Gaga insegna, con le sue Armadillo da 30 cm, firmate dal compianto Alexander Mc Queen), la primavera alle porte ci riporterà ad un must di un paio di anni fa: i sandali flat, completamente rasoterra, proposti da Armani, Dolce & Gabbana e Salvatore Ferragamo.

Incredibile come anche le firme più prestigiose riscoprano e ripropongano calzature, che, seppur minimal, ben declinate, possano regalare eleganza e grazia ad un piede ben curato. Torna, poi, alla ribalta, inatteso quanto leggermente dimenticato, il tacco di media altezza, quello comodo e pratico, da tutti i giorni, da ufficio, così come da passeggiata domenicale, magari rinnovato e proposto nei colori delicatamente metallizzati e lievemente lamè che tanto andranno in questa stagione calda in arrivo.

O nei toni accessi dell’arancio e del lime, magari accostati in una variazione multicolor, che ha avuto un enorme successo nel 2012. Come quelle di Pierre Hardy, designer

da Ermanno Scervino: scavate nella parte posteriore, alleggeriscono il tacco e donano slancio ed eleganza alla figura. Monocolore, multicolor e nel classico bianco e nero, sembrano destinate a dominare le giornate di questa estate soleggiata e frizzante. Deliziose quelle a stampa pitone di Tory Burch, rigorosamente spuntate e comodamente allacciate alla caviglia.

Chiaramente altissime, regalano un tocco animalier anche all’outfit più classico. Meritevoli di nota, sono gli innovativi sandali firmati Donna Karan: realizzati come un ibrido tra zeppa, modello alla schiava e calzatura flat, slanciano la gamba, rendendola lunga ed affusolata. La Camera della Moda non sostiene le aziende che producono in Italia, come la nostra, lasciandole in disparte in angoli bui nei quali ho deciso di non essere relegata, parlo di posizionamento nel calendario, di orari, di visibilità da dare nei rapporti con la stampa straniera”.

“Siamo al terzo anno, la sesta stagione per così dire “fuori dagli schemi”. Ho la fortuna di essere amata dalla stampa. La nostra sfilata è in programma per il 20 Febbraio alle ore 11.00: un giorno che funziona, il primo, in cui sfileranno altri brand tipicamente femminili e vicini a noi… e poi sono scaramantica”.

“This is the third year, the sixth season “out of the box”. I am lucky enough to be loved by the press. Our fashion show is scheduled for February the 20th, at 11 AM: a day that works well, the first, in which other typically female brands and quite close to us will show… and then I am superstitious”.

Qual è il segreto della sua maison, tale da riuscire ad accontentare donne così diverse come Naomi Campbell, Alessia Marcuzzi, Nicoletta Braschi, Laura Morante, passando per Penelope Cruz, Vanessa Incontrada, fino ad arrivare alla piemontesissima Luciana Littizzietto?

“Semplice: tutto ruota intorno alla personalità delle donne, parliamo di personaggi forti, donne che sanno cosa vogliono essere e come farlo “arrivare” agli altri. Chi indossa un capo come un altro mi mette in difficoltà, chi mi “veste” apprezza in primis oltre al mio stile, le forme della donna Kristina Ti e i tessuti utilizzati. Kristina Ti non va usata ma indossata”.

What is the secret of your maison, able to satisfy so many different women such as Naomi Campbell, Alessia Marcuzzi, Nicoletta Braschi, Laura Morante, then Penelope Cruz, Vanessa Incontrada, and even the super-Piedmontese Luciana Litizzetto?

“It is simply: everything is about the women’s personality, we are talking about strong characters, women that know what they want to be and how to “reach” other people. Whoever puts clothes as they are all the same really puts me in trouble, who “wears” me appreciates, first of all, other than my style, the forms of the Kristina Ti Woman and the fabrics. Una domanda tutt’altro che politically correct: qual’è stata la donna, la testimonial che meglio ha interpretato la femminilità, la ricercata innocenza che ritroviamo in ogni sua creazione?

est le temps que tu as perdu pour ta rose qui fait ta rose si importante” lo diceva Antoine de Saint-Exupéry nel suo Piccolo Principe, in quel capolavoro di racconto che fece il giro del mondo. Potremmo partire da qui per parlare di Daniela Uras, delle sue scelte, delle sue ricerche, dei suoi investimenti, del suo “atelier di bellezza” fatto di creme e di cosmesi che nulla ha a che vedere con la commercializzazione di un must have che resterà sempre lassù in cima alla classifica di ogni donna che si rispetti.

Nasce proprietaria di un centro benessere ma stanca di un sistema che badava troppo al business si inventa imprenditrice/produttrice e dà vita nel 2008 alla Uras Cosmetics. Il marchio però ha nel suo dna le idee e la spinta creativa della figlia Micol Comi, titolare, creativa e già imprenditrice di successo, oggi poco più che diciannovenne.

La determinazione pare sia un fattore genetico da queste parti. Daniela nel nome della sua “creatura” mette tutta se stessa e quel cognome trasmessole da quello che lei ama definire “un uomo meraviglioso” (quale padre non lo è per la propria figlia, ndr): portarlo in tutto il mondo, il nome, la grandezza dell’uomo, qui risiede la missione di Daniela. Non produce direttamente ma si avvale della fedele collaborazione di un cosmetologo, Angelo, un chimico che come tutti i geni da laboratorio non ama apparire. “La sua vita è in laboratorio – ci racconta Daniela - il suo fine è la qualità del prodotto, il business lo lascia fare agli altri se proprio va fatto”.

“For the worldwide famous German stylist Tom Rebl, we just launched on the market the new perfume Bordelò: we went back to the origins, zero fragrances cooked in the stove but macerated with a scent that changes along time, fresh in the morning, and with a warm note at the sunset.

In the short-term we will put on the market, always for Tom, another capsule. I created in partnership with the licensee society for the people’s perfume, a line of scents for women and men, body care and aftershave for the SS LAZIO and AS ROMA brands.

“T

om Rebl, stilista tedesco di fama internazionale, sceglie l’Italia contrariamente a chi parla di cervelli in fuga e una mattina decide di lasciare Londra e trasferirsi in provincia. “Un sagittario dalla testa ai piedi” così ama definirsi Tom, sorridendo sotto i baffi, sempre alla ricerca di qualcosa di nuovo, senza alcun limite o confine. I suoi sono tutti abiti ricchi di decorazioni e dettagli glamour perché i vestiti non sono per lui solo una semplice divisa. Non è una questione di creare qualcosa di “glamour” o “semplice”. A lui piace così. Da qui il “suo” uomo sempre più attento al vestire, al pari della donna: lo troviamo sulle passerelle e per le strade in questo 2013 così affollato. Anche se bada bene a non paragonare le due realtà. La passerella è il suo show, dove mostra l’essenza della collezione, dove prova a stimolare e risvegliare emozioni in pochi minuti. Un artista a 360° che ama la musica ma che decide ad un certo punto della sua vita di mollare la presa per dedicarsi appieno alle sue creazioni. Si supera, lui che posa la chitarra perché “troppo lontano dalla perfezione, nonostante anni di studio e tentativi”. Salutiamo il musicista triste e tormentato per lasciar posto al designer felice e completo.

om Rebl, worldwide famous German stylist, chooses Italy contrary to those who talk about brain drain and one morning decides to leave London and move to the province.

“A Sagittarius from head to toe” as Tom loves to describe himself, sniggering, always searching for something new, without any limit or border. His creations are all rich in decorations and glamorous details because for him, clothes are not just a simple uniform.

It is not just a matter of creating something “glamorous” or “simple”. He likes it like that.

From here comes “his” man, always more accurate about what to wear, as much as women do: we find him on the catwalk and on the streets during this crowded 2013.

Even if he is careful about not comparing the two realities. The runway is his show, where he shows the essence of the collection, where he tries to stimulate and awake emotions in few minutes. A 360° artist who loves music but which decided at a certain point of his life to let go of it and fully dedicate himself to his creations.

I vestiti non sono al centro del suo universo ma sono un’estensione della personalità.

Quando questa presa di posizione forte?

“Vestirsi è uno stato d’animo, vestirsi è mostrare al mondo chi si è nel profondo. Per avere successo, bisogna essere in contatto con noi stessi e non gira tutto intorno alle mode ed ai must have, basta solo ricordarselo”.

Era il direttore creativo di Andrew MacKenzie poi ha deciso di camminare con le sue gambe. Cosa le è rimasto di quell’esperienza?

“Tutto il lavoro e gli studi che ho fatto in passato mi hanno aiutato a diventare la persona che sono ora. E’ difficile, se non impossibile, dire cosa mi sia rimasto di ogni esperienza. Tutto quello che posso dire è che sono stato molto fortunato in passato nel poter scegliere sempre i lavori che mi interessavano o mi stimolavano. Non appena ho smesso di imparare cose nuove o non mi sentivo più ispirato ho cambiato

We say goodbye to the sad and tormented musician to make space for the happy and complete designer.

Clothes are not the center of your universe but they are an extension of the personality. When this strong stance?

“Dressing is a state of mind. Dressing is making your inner self visible on the outside. In order to succeed, you have to be in touch with yourself and it is not all about trends and must-haves, we just have to remember it.”

You were the Creative Director for Andrew MacKenzie then you decided to stand on your feet. What is left about that experience?

“All the work and studies I´ve done in the past helped me to become the person I am today. It is difficult if not impossible to say what remains from each experience. All I can say is, that in the past I was lucky being able to choose always the jobs that interested and challenged me. And as soon as I stopped learning new things or didn´t get inspired anymore, I changed position, city or even country.

Here I am today with my own label based in Italy. And who knows, what I will be doing in 3 years time?”.

“Perché dovrei sfilare durante il calendario ufficiale della settimana della moda? Sto preparando i miei orari ed il mio calendario, per come penso sia meglio per me ed il mio marchio. Non vedo il motivo di seguire quello che fanno tutti solo perché lo fanno ogni stagione. Forse ci sono alcune strutture che non sono più all’avanguardia? Il mondo della moda è cambiato così tanto negli ultimi anni, in meglio o in peggio. Non pensa che anche alcune strutture dovrebbero cambiare allo stesso modo?”

You dress strong personalities like yours, we are talking about Justin Timberlake, Justin Bieber and the Green Day to list a few names, but your exhibitions are off-schedule during the Milan Fashion Week. Why? “Why should I show in the official fashion week calendar? I am working out my own schedule and calendar, how I think it is best for me and my brand. I don´t see the reason to follow everybody else only because everybody just does so every season.

Maybe there are some structures that are not up-to-date anymore? The fashion business has changes so much over the last years, for the better or worse. Don´t you think also certain structures need to change as well?”

Ho sentito il bisogno di lasciare Londra..

Passo molto tempo e faccio molti sforzi perché vesta in maniera perfetta. Ecco perché i miei modellisti mi amano e mi odiano allo stesso tempo. A volte li faccio impazzire, perché li faccio lavorare su dei pezzi ancora e poi ancora finché non sono perfetti.

Ma alla fine mi amano perché i vestiti che facciamo sono semplicemente bellissimi.

Un uomo che indossa un capo TOM REBL ha bisogno di sentirsi bene. E puoi essere sicuro di te se ti senti magnificamente in ciò che indossi”.

And that´s why my pattern cutters love and hate me at the same time. Sometimes I drive them crazy, as I let them make pieces over and over again until they are perfect.

But in the end they love me as the garments we created are just beautiful. A man who is putting on a TOM REBL garment needs to feel good. You can only be self-confident, if you feel great in what you wear”.

Sette anni di intensa Londra poi la scelta di vivere e creare nella provincia, italiana.

Come mai una simile scelta?

“Come dicevo poco fa, ho sentito il bisogno di lasciare Londra e dare una svolta alla mia vita. Vivere e lavorare a Londra è molto frenetico e vibrante. Dopo tutti quegli anni ero solo esausto e volevo una vita diversa. E l’Italia mi è sembrata il luogo perfetto dove trovare lo stile di vita mediterraneo insieme all’eccellenza ed alla tradizione della moda”.

Seven years of an intense London and then the decision to live and create in the Italian province. Why such a choice?

“As I already mentioned earlier, I just felt to leave London and to turn around my life.

Living and working in London is very vibrant and hectic. Over those years, I just was exhausted and wanted a different lifestyle.

And Italy seemed to be the perfect place, where you find the Mediterranean lifestyle combined with excellence and tradition in fashion”.

Ha conosciuto HR Giger, creatore di Alien.

Disse che a livello creativo le servì. Oggi, domani chi la ispira?

“Io adoro HR Giger! Mi è stato così di ispirazione, e lo è tutt’ora. Ha una cura per i dettagli incredibile nei suoi lavori. E adoro anche l’HR GigerMuseum Bar in Svizzera.

Decisamente un posto da visitare. Sono molto affascinato dal surrealismo e dal movimento surrealista degli anni ’20. E’ incredibilmente ricco di metafore, significati e simboli.Un’altra risorsa per l’ispirazione è la musica. Ho vissuto la mia adolescenza ascoltando i Radiohead. E anche adesso, Thom Yorke è il mio musicista preferito, sempre impegnato a spostare i confini nel suo modo di esprimersi”.

You met HR Giger, the creator of Alien. You said that on a creative level it was very useful. Who inspires you for today and tomorrow?

“I absolutely adore HR Giger! He has been and still is so inspiring. He is incredibly detailed in his work. I also love the HR Giger Museum Bar in Switzerland. Definitely a place to visit. In general, I am very fond of surrealism and the surrealist art movement of the 20s. It is extremely rich of metaphors, meanings and symbols. Another source of inspiration is music. I´ve lived my teenage years listening to Radiohead. And even now, Thom Yorke is my favorite musician always pushing boundries in his way of expression”.

Lei veste l’uomo, ma a quando il “salto creativo” verso una donna che non fa che aspettare il suo lascia passare? Non le bastò ricevere anni fa (ai tempi della Central Saint Martins) il consenso di Kate Moss su un outfit che le cucì praticamente addosso?

“Ho deciso da poco di iniziare con gli abiti da uomo, siccome lo trovo più stimolante e soddisfacente per me. Ma dopo cinque anni di moda uomo, sento già un po’ di solletico verso la moda donna”.

You design men clothes, when will happen your “creative leap” towards a woman that just waits for your permission? Wasn’t enough for you to receive years ago (at the time of the Central Saint Martins) the approval of Kate Moss on an outfit that you practically sewed on her?

“I just decided to start with menswear, as I find it more challenging and satisfying for myself. But after five years in menswear now, I already feel some tickling towards womenswear…”.

Un talento, il suo, che non è mai domo al punto da spingere il suo processo creativo oltre, arrivando fino ad una fragranza: Bordellò Un nome forte, come la scelta di provare ad andare sempre un passo oltre il limite. Com’è nata l’idea e cosa ci riserva il futuro?

“L’intero progetto del profumo è partito da una mia amica, Daniela Uras, che lavora nel mondo della cosmesi e dei profumi. L’idea era quella di creare una fragranza che omaggiasse il mondo TOM REBL e per aggiungere una nuova dimensione. E’ stato molto emozionante ed intenso trovare gli ingredienti giusti per la fragranza. C’è stato il bisogno di parlare ed analizzare molto alcuni aspetti personali, prima ancora di arrivare in laboratorio. Alla fine è stata un’esperienza molto liberatoria e siamo molto orgogliosi del nostro Bordellò. Qualche settimana fa, ho organizzato un party per il lancio del profumo in collaborazione con Campomarzio70 durante l’Alta Moda a Roma, che è stato un gran successo. Ora Daniela, Gianni di Liello (il proprietario di Campomarzio70) ed io stiamo già parlando di nuovi progetti”.

Yours is a talent that is never quiet, reaching the point of pushing your creative process far, up to a perfume: Bordellò. A strong name, such as the choice to try to always go a step beyond the limit. What gave you this idea and what does the future hold for us?

“The whole perfume thing got initiated by a good friend of mine, Daniela Uras, who is working in the cosmetic and perfume business. The ideas was to create a fragrance to compliment the world of TOM REBL and to add a new dimension. It didn´t have any commercial aspect to it at all. It was very emotional and intense to find the right ingredients for the fragrance. A lot of talking and analyzing of very personal aspects needed to be done, before we even went to the laboratory. In the end, it was a extremely liberating experience and we are really proud of our Bordellò. Just some weeks ago, I organized a perfume launch party in collaboration with Campomarzio70 during Alta Moda in Rome, which was a great success. Now Daniela, Gianni di Liello (the owner of Campomarzio70) and I are already talking about new projects”.

e la crisi non conosce cavalleria (e colpisce indistintamente tutte le aziende, sia quelle guidate da uomini che quelle che hanno al timone una donna), è ben diversa la risposta che riceve, a seconda di chi la deve affrontare: proprio le imprese “rosa”, infatti, sono quelle che in questi ultimi anni stanno dimostrando di reagire e resistere meglio alle avversità e agli ostacoli con cui devono misurarsi ogni giorno. Parola dell’Osservatorio dell’imprenditoria femminile di Unioncamere, che attraverso le sue ricerche più recenti ha regalato un’istantanea a suo modo sorprendente del tessuto produttivo nostrano ai quattro angoli della Penisola. E così, se nel corso dell’anno passato le imprese nel loro complesso sono diminuite in tutta Italia di quasi 30mila unità (più precisamente 29.911), le attività guidate da donne hanno saputo tenere molto meglio, lasciando “sul campo” soltanto 593 di loro. Un dato in cui incide, ovviamente, anche il naturale passaggio al mondo non lavorativo di chi decide di andare in pensione, chiudendo i battenti della propria attività. Numeri alla mano, dunque, in tutto il Bel Paese operano ancora (e reagiscono con grinta ai mor-

In particolare, è nel Centro-Sud che si mette in luce questa tendenza, smentendo (almeno parzialmente) lo stereotipo che vede nelle regioni del Nord la maggiore operosità. Prima tra tutte è infatti il Lazio, che ha festeggiato l’apertura di 1.149 nuove imprese. Dopo la regione della Capitale c’è quindi la Sicilia (qui sono 873 le imprese che hanno aperto i battenti nel corso del 2012. Poi la Toscana (+512) e finalmente la prima rappresentante delle zone del Nord, la Lombardia, che nel corso dell’anno passato ha accolto 342 nuove imprese. Allo stesso tempo, tuttavia, così come ci sono i primi della classe, alcune regioni stanno invece registrando alcune difficoltà, trovandosi così a chiudere in negativo il conto delle aziende femminili che hanno aperto e quelle che hanno chiuso l’anno scorso. La zona più in difficoltà è il Piemonte, con 909 imprese che hanno gettato la spugna. Quindi il Veneto – altra area tradizionalmente vocata all’imprenditoria – con 697 unità mancanti. Un incontro umano, appunto. Una donna, declinata dall’immagine dedita alla famiglia nel senso più tradizionale del termine e devota ad una grande famiglia allargata e con un senso forte di compagnia. Ci racconti il lavoro del Vocal Coach? “È un lavoro nuovo ed insolito, soprattutto in Italia e per una donna. Sono tra le poche donne che ha creato una metodologia, Vocal Care, che si basa su una serie di tecniche fisiche e psicologiche. Tutto il corpo contribuisce alla sonorità e per questo deve essere curato dal punto di vista posturale, della respirazione e dell’alimentazione.

A woman with a passionate nature and the determination of a champion. A human encounter, indeed. A woman, detached from the image devoted to the family in the most traditional sense and devoted to an extended family and with a strong sense of company. A belonging that includes her job then to overtake it and entering in her life up to the guts.

“Esattamente. Mi avvalgo di uno staff completo di professionisti che segue l’artista nella sua condotta di vita, prendendosene carico, seguendolo in generale”.

Can you explain to us the Vocal Coach job?

“It’s a new and unusual job, most of all in Italy and for a woman. I’m one of the few women that created a method, Vocal Care, based on a series of physical and psychological techniques. The whole body contributes to the sonority and for this it has to be taken care of by the point of view of the posture, breathing and diet. Together with exercises of easy comprehension and quick results, it is associated a precise phase of physical wellness also useful for everyday life, as well as a part dedicated

You follow big artists like Ornella Vanoni and Giuliano Sangiorgi of Negramaro, just to say a couple of names. Can you explain specifically how do you work with them?

“First of all I follow artists right on the field and I take care of them as an instrument. I leave with them for the tour and I follow them with exercises right before and right after the show.

It’s an hard task, because I have a person in my hands both on a physical and a psychological level, but it is incredibly satisfying”.

But also of big responsibilities.

“It is a mission, as Ornella Vanoni often says.

The beauty of the confrontation makes me think and reason, always keeping me downto-earth”.

Taking in charge other people’s lives affected your life?

“Let’s just say that I don’t have a house, my house is my car and it moves together with my dog, my partner of travels and gipsy life. I have a studio in Milan and one in Rome, that are my logistical bases for work and for the training school. Also I am a jazz singer, I have always travelled, especially abroad. This choice of life doesn’t allow me to have a family, in the most traditional sense; I don’t live the sacrifice, though, but the resources that these strong bonds create giving life to a big and generous extended family”.

Prendersi carico di vite altrui ha penalizzato la sua vita privata?

“Diciamo che non ho una casa, anzi la casa è la mia macchina e si muove insieme al mio cane, compagno di viaggi e vita gitana. Ho uno studio a Milano e uno a Roma, che diventano basi logistiche per il lavoro e per la mia scuola di formazione.

Inoltre sono una cantante jazz e ho sempre viaggiato, soprattutto all’estero. Questa scelta di vita mi impedisce di avere una mia famiglia, nel senso più tradizionale; non ne vivo però il sacrificio, ma le risorse che questi legami forti creano dando vita ad una grande e generosa famiglia allargata”.

“Tante volte! Come se mancasse una parte di voce. Con le emozioni frenate rimango zitta come se si bloccassero le emozione.

Irreverent question: after such an investment toward the other person, how do you shake off their life?

“My job goes inevitably through important moments of analysis. Time, experience and maturity helped me, of course. But in fact I cannot not get involved because I’ve been there and I live it. I am cut out for these psychological load: I feel joy in being able to do this for other people and it doesn’t take away my energy, even if this job involves the heart. I have learned techniques for my well-being, such as, for example, reading that helps me to recharge. I need to feed most of all on a cognitive level: learn new stuff to start again. Because of my nature I am always willing to renew myself. I have a daily turnover of energy and working every day with young people, I keep pace with time”.

Domanda irriverente: in un investimento verso l’altro così totalizzante, come si scrolla di dosso la sua vita?

“Il mio lavoro passa inevitabilmente attraverso importanti momenti di analisi. Il tempo, l’esperienza e la maturità mi hanno anche aiutato ovviamente. Di fatto non riesco a non farmi coinvolgere perché ci sono passata come cantante e perché ci vivo.

Sono tagliata per questi carichi psicologici: provo gioia nel poter fare questo per gli altri e questo non mi fa perdere energia, anche se è un lavoro che prende il cuore. Ho imparato tecniche di benessere mio, come per esempio la lettura che aiuta molto a ricaricarmi. Ho bisogno di alimentarmi soprattutto a livello cognitivo: imparare cose nuove per ripartire. Per indole sono sempre disposta a rinnovarmi. Ho un ricambio di energia quotidiano e lavorando tutti i giorni con i giovani, rimango al passo anche

“I absolutely have to “wear two kind of clothes”, I am well separate as vocal coach and singer. They are two huge loves, but fortunately I don’t mix them, or otherwise I would be incredibly passionate with other people and too critic about myself”.

You just released your new album, Sanremo in Jazz, containing ten tracks that made the history of the Sanremo Festival, rearranged as jazz. Which songs were reluctantly left out of this compilation?

“Uomini Soli by The Pooh, had to be left out, a song which I love a lot and then for example Raphael Gualazzi, because in spite of the beauty of his song, I thought it was an homage, let’s say, too young. I wish this could become an appointment with Italian music rearranged in Jazz. I have to thank De Andrè because he made me discover the beauty of Italian music, because my genre and my experiences have always brought me abroad”.

È uscito il suo nuovo album, Sanremo in Jazz, che contiene dieci brani che hanno fatto la storia del Festival di Sanremo, riadattati in chiave jazz. Quali brani sono rimasti a malincuore fuori da questa raccolta?

“Rimane fuori a malincuore la canzone Uomini Soli dei Pooh, canzone che amo molto e poi per esempio Raphael Gualazzi perché, nonostante la bellezza del suo brano, mi sembrava un omaggio per così dire, giovane. Vorrei che questo diventasse un appuntamento con la musica italiana riadattata in chiave jazz. Devo ringraziare De Andrè che mi ha fatto scoprire la meraviglia della musica italiana, perché il mio genere e le mie esperienze mi hanno sempre portato molto all’estero.”

What music do you listen to?

“I often listen to non-vocal music, less emotional. Lots of classical music that cleans in my brain and ethnic music because it gives me back sounds I’ve never heard.

Che musica ascolta?

“Ascolto spesso musica non vocale, meno emotiva. Tanta musica classica che fa pulizia nel mio cervello e musica etnica perché mi restituisce suoni mai sentiti”.

There is a severe crisis also in the recording industry. You that experience more the live world, what do you think?

“I think that live music, the concerts, are actually the possibility to express and gather energies. They represent the truth. I think that the decline of the recording industry could feed the live dimension, that is brainstorming and flowing of currents. It is the union that makes the minds work. The live is full of beating living souls and emotional exchange”.

C’è una grande crisi anche nel mondo della discografia. Lei che vive più il mondo live, cosa ne pensa?

“Penso che la musica dal vivo, i concerti, siano la possibilità di esprimere e convogliare energie. Rappresentano la verità. Penso che il decadimento delle case discografiche in questo senso possa alimentare il live, che è brainstorming e fluire di correnti. È aggregazione che fa lavorare le menti. Il live è carico di anime vive che palpitano e di scambio emotivo”.

on fatevi prendere dall’affanno, tanto sarebbe inutile e sarebbe una enorme perdita di tempo. Perché non c’è nessuno al mondo che possa davvero sperare di trovare, per caso, quelle monetine da un centesimo di euro. Coniate qualche mese prima dell’entrata in vigore della Divisa unica europea e sbagliate. Sì. Sbagliate. Comunque annotatevi questa data: 23 maggio, un giovedì, a Torino, c’è la più originale asta pubblica per appassionati di numismatica. Per la prima volta e dopo anni di traversie giudiziarie, perizie e controperizie, vanno all’asta due delle sei monete da un centesimo di euro - fino ad oggi ritrovate - che riportano sul retro l’immagine della Mole Antonelliana, ovvero il retro della moneta da due centesimi. Un errore clamoroso. Che, quando venne scoperto, scatenò la più grossa caccia alle monetine in questione che mai si sia registrata nel mondo del collezionismo.

Caccia ovviamente infruttuosa, a quanto pare se su cento esemplari in circolazione almeno questa è la stima di Bolaffi - ne sono state trovate neanche il 10 per cento. Che sono tutte ben custodite nelle cassaforti di casa Bolaffi. Che, ovviamente, ben si guar-

Because nobody in the world can really hope to find, perchance, those one cent euro coins. Coined a few months before starting of the Single European Currency and wrong. Yes, wrong. Anyway write down this day: May the 23rd, Thursday, in Turin, takes place the most original public auction for numismatics enthusiasts. For the first time and after years of legal troubles, reports and controls, will go up for auction two of the six one cent coins –found so far – showing the image of the Mole Antonelliana on their back, that is to say the back of the two cents coins. A clamorous mistake.

That, when it was discovered, provoked the biggest hunt for those coins that has ever been registered in the collecting world.

An obviously fruitless hunt, apparently if on one hundred pieces circulating – at least this is the number according to Bolaffi – not even the 10% of them was found. That are

all well-safe inside the Bollaffi’s safe. Which of course will avoid to input immediately on the market. Now, what happened was clamorous: the National Mint should not make wrong coinage. I say that it shouldn’t because it happened now and in a recent past and the comparison that comes into mind is with the stamp emitted on the 3rd of April, 1961 to accompany the journey of the then President of the Republic Giovanni Gronchi in South America. The course of legal validity should have start on April the 6th, the departure date for the President. But the validity was suspended and the stamp was replaced with a similar one, but of a different color: the Grey Gronchi.

Obviously it is not the color to give a value to the stamp. But the fact that during its realization the Peruvian borders were mistaken, designed without the basin of the Amazon River. Sensational. And just because the cartographers took the wrong map as reference. The incredible thing is that the stamp also provoked diplomatic tensions, with telephone calls of – we can guess – infinite apologies between our Foreign Ministry and the Peruvian diploma-

Ma il fatto che in fase di progettazione siano stati sbagliati i confini del Perù, raffigurato senza il bacino del Rio delle Amazzoni. Clamoroso. E tutto perché i cartografi avevano sbagliato piantina di riferiferimento. Il fatto incredibile è che quel francobollo provocò anche tensioni diplomatiche, con scambi di telefonate si può immaginare scuse infinite tra il nostro ministero degli Esteri e la sede diplomatica peruviana. Il territorio annesso, che estendeva in modo sensibile i confini del Perù, apparteneva all’Ecuador: qualcuno all’epoca pensò ad una precisa scelta politica italiana. Ma erano fantasie. Per dimostrare che si era trattato davvero di un inciampo venne immediatamente ordinato il ritiro del Gronchi rosa dal mercato. Queste cose, però, si sa come vanno. Quando l’ordine arrivò ne erano giù stati venduti oltre 70mila esemplari. E chi ce l’aveva s’è ovviamente ben guardato dall’andare alle Poste a riconsegnarlo. A cinquantadue anni di distanza da quel fattaccio un Gronchi Rosa può convincere un collezionista ad aprire il portafoglio e tirare fuori circa mille euro per entrarne in possesso. Non serve dirlo: deve essere nuovo e ben tenuto. E con la gomma integra. La metà - su per giù - se è utilizzato. In mezzo ci sono mille variabili. Adesso qualcuno già tenta il paragone tra Gronchi Rosa e moneta da un centesimo. Sempre errore. Sempre lo Stato che sbaglia. Verrebbe da pensare male. Ma si farebbe pecca-

to. Per i collezionisti, invece, è una manna, specialmente per chi ha soldi da investire e poi lasciare lì il bene. Goderselo di tanto in tanto e, se si vuole, mostrarlo agli amici, senza mai toglierlo da dietro una teca.

E siamo alla domanda chiave: ma quanto vale sto benedetto centesimo con la Mole Antonelliana? Bolaffi ha fatto il prezzo: 2mila e 500 euro. Ma se è vero che ne sono rimasti soltanto sei in circolazione c’è da scommetterci che i due che andranno all’asta a maggio, saranno pagati anche tre o quattro volte tanto. Nel frattempo frugate nella tasche di giacche, cappotti e pantaloni che portavate nel 2002. Magari lì c’è una monetina insignificante che vale la metà di un viaggio da 10 giorni alle Maldive.

Per i collezionisti, invece, è una manna..

Secondo il ricercatore tedesco Andreas Strohle, del dipartimento di psichiatria dell’università di Berlino, l’esercizio fisico sarebbe in grado di aumentare i livelli dell’ANP, una sostanza dall’effetto rilassante sia per la mente che per la muscolatura.

Si tratta di un ormone secreto dal muscolo cardiaco, la cui funzione è controllare la pressione sanguigna e diminuire la risposta dell’organismo nei confronti di un altro ormone, l’adrenalina, che invece ha un effetto stimolante. L’attività fisica è quindi in grado di cambiare la chimica del cervello, andando a stimolare quelle sostanze che favoriscono la nostra sensazione di benessere. La sensazione a sua volta, si muta in pensiero razionale positivo e in comportamenti che aumentano la nostra capacità di socializzare.

It’s been proved by studies conducted with MRI, that muscular exercise stimulates neurogenesis in the dentate gyrus of the hippocampus, the cerebral area designated for learning and memory.

In particular physical exercise activates the production of a neurotrophic factor called BDNF (Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor) that precisely stimulates the neurogenesis on a hippocampal level. The BDNF, in fact, has a neuroprotective, neurotrophic and neuroreparative effect, that is to say in the laboratory it increases the possibility of the neurons survival and promotes the growth of neuronal cell extensions (dendrites).

The neuroprotective effect is particularly relevant in human beings since the brain starts to suffer a neuronal depletion already around 30 years old. Physical exercise have this protective role toward the encephalic tissue strengthening neural connections, increasing the number of dendritic connec-

uesto è il dilemma. Nell’era in cui non ci sono più punti fermi, dove tutto muta a velocità difficilmente controllabili, anche il lavoro del chirurgo plastico, spesso troppo indaffarato a “portare a termine” il lavoro e meno attento alla reale richiesta del paziente, deve evolversi e passare dalla tecnica chirurgica fine a se stessa alla centralità del paziente. Cosa sta chiedendo la persona che mi siede di fronte? Cambiano le prospettive, cambiano i modelli, ma rimane sempre la richiesta di un aspetto migliore.

Nessuno vuole più la trasformazione della propria immagine, tutti ricercano un’armonia esteriore che possa dare sollievo all’equilibrio interiore. E’ vero, alcune pazienti hanno come unico scopo il “togliersi uno sfizio” magari aumentando il seno di una taglia, altre si recano nello studio del chirurgo plastico chiedendo “oggi cosa mi fa, dottore?”, ma la maggioranza dei casi ha come scopo un benessere globale che non può più prescindere dall’avere un bell’aspetto. Ma avere un’immagine migliore per piacere agli altri o per piacersi? In genere la domanda di interventi di chirurgia plastica è mossa da entrambe

Se una persona si piace di più, è più propenso alle relazioni interpersonali che possono a loro volta rafforzare il suo piacersi. La richiesta si è quindi tramutata sempre più dalla trasformazione ad ogni costo, al “rinfrescare” il proprio aspetto e “portare bene” la propria età più che tentare di dimostrare 20 anni di meno”. Anche per questo vengono commercializzate quotidianamente metodologie sempre meno invasive, minimizzando i rischi e velocizzando il più possibile il ritorno alla vita sociale. Nonostante una donna su 5 sia fiera di dichiarare il proprio “ritocchino”, esiste ancora il tabù del trattamento di medicina estetica: “dottore, mi raccomando, non si deve vedere niente”. Ma anche questo andrà cambiando.

Come dice il chirurgo Pitanguy, padre brasiliano della chirurgia plastica, “essere belli oggi è un lusso necessario”, e il lusso, si sa, deve essere esibito e sfoggiato. Di conseguenza cambierà anche l’approccio alle procedure di ringiovanimento, considerate parte del budget di spesa familiare alla stregua del dentista per esempio. Secondo un’indagine Doxa condotta su 1000 donne, infatti, il 22% di loro rinuncerebbe alle ferie per ritoccarsi. Non si tratta quindi di una perdita dei valori reali, semplicemente di una diversa prospettiva nella visione delle priorità che la società moderna ci tramette con i suoi messaggi non più tanto subliminali. E come tutti le rivoluzioni della storia bisogna essere in grado di capirlo e adattarsi per sopravvivere alla dura legge della selezione naturale. Come nel passato sono sopravvissute le giraffe con il collo più lungo, altrettanto nel presente viene selezionato chi ha l’aspetto migliore, così nel futuro saranno più forti coloro i quali avranno raggiunto questo benessere psicofisico grazie all’aiuto del chirurgo plastico.

Just like in the past the giraffes with the longest neck were able to survive, in the present it is selected who has the best look, so in the future the stronger will be those who will have reached this psychophysical well-being thanks to the help of a plastic surgeon.

“L

e pagine dei nostri giornali, all’epoca già quasi monopolizzate dalla campagna elettorale, hanno dato relativamente scarso rilievo alla notizia. Eppure il 13 dicembre 2012 si può considerare una data epocale nella storia della regolamentazione bancaria e finanziaria europea. Quel giorno è stata infatti raggiunta in seno al Consiglio dell’UE (formazione Ecofin), un’intesa sull’unione bancaria. E non si tratta di un fatto che riguardi solo gli addetti ai lavori o gli amanti del diritto europeo o i burocrati dei 27 paesi dell’Unione, anzi. Per capire l’importanza del nuovo assetto della vigilanza bancaria occorre partire da un concetto di assoluta semplicità. La situazione economica e finanziaria di uno stato, di una città, di un’impresa, di una famiglia o del singolo è legata in modo indissolubile alla fiducia dei quali godono. Fiducia che si traduce nella volontà di fare affari con qualcuno, nel concedergli credito (non solo nel senso di affidamenti bancari) o addirittura nell’affidargli i propri risparmi. Ecco perché per la UE ricostruire la fiducia degli investitori (europei e non) e dei suoi stessi cittadini nelle banche e nell’euro è un obiettivo cruciale.

he pages of our newspapers, at that time already monopolized by the election campaign, gave little importance to the news. And yet December the 13th, 2012 can be considered as an historic day for the history of the European banking and financial regulation.

During that day has in fact being reached during the UE Council (Ecofin composition), an agreement about union bank. And it is not a fact concerning only the experts or enthusiasts of European law or bureaucrats from the 27 countries of the UE. To understand the importance of the new structure of banking supervision it is necessary to start from a concept of total simplicity.

The economic and financial situation of a State, a city, an enterprise, a family or a single person is indissolubly bonded to the trust that they benefit. Trust that translates into the will of doing business with someone, giving them credit (not only credit line) or even entrusting them with savings. This

La supervisione sugli istituti creditizi, rimasta fino ad oggi in larga parte all’interno dei confini nazionali, ha dimostrato di non aver tenuto il passo con l’integrazione dei mercati globali e le disastrose situazioni verificatesi nel mondo bancario dal 2007 in poi hanno minato moltissimo la credibilità del sistema. Per queste ragioni nel maggio 2012 la Commissione europea ha espresso l’esigenza di giungere ad una vera e propria unione bancaria UE, con l’introduzione di un meccanismo unico di supervisione per prevenire le crisi bancarie e, laddove non sia possibile evitarle, per intervenire in modo che le crisi non si propaghino fino a divenire sistemiche. I pilastri sui quali il nuovo sistema si fonda sono quattro: le regole, la supervisione, la garanzia dei depositi e il meccanismo di risoluzione delle crisi. Poiché l’armonizzazione delle regole dovrebbe essere già raggiunta attraverso l’emanazione di direttive su specifiche materie (sulle quali ormai gli interventi dell’UE in materia bancaria e finanziaria sono innumerevoli), la proposta di unione bancaria si focalizza sulla centralizzazione della vigilanza, su un meccanismo di risoluzione delle crisi e su un sistema di garanzia dei depositi.

Con particolare riferimento alla centralizzazione della vigilanza bancaria, la proposta della Commissione europea del giugno 2012 (poi significativamente modificata dal Consiglio dell’UE dello scorso dicembre) è quella di unificare e centralizzare in capo alla Banca Centrale Europea (BCE) la vigilanza bancaria dei Paesi dell’eurozona.

Ma dal punto di vista pratico, questo vuol dire che a vegliare sui nostri risparmi sarà direttamente Francoforte e non più Roma (o la sede territoriale di Banca d’Italia)? La risposta è sì e no allo stesso tempo. La BCE di Francoforte, infatti, sarà dotata di penetranti poteri ispettivi, investigativi e sanzionatori ed autorizzerà, dopo un primo vaglio delle autorità nazionali, tutte le banche dell’eurozona (e di alcuni altri Stati Membri che aderiscano spontaneamente al sistema di vigilanza unico, pur non avendo l’eu-

is why for the UE to rebuild investor’s trust (not only European) and the trust of its citizens in banking and euro is a crucial goal.

The supervision of banks, until today being within our national borders, has been showed not to have kept the pace with global markets integration and the disastrous situations happened inside the bank world from 2007that undermined the system credibility. For these reasons, in May 2012, the European Commission expressed the need to achieve at a proper UE bank union, introducing a unique supervision mechanism to prevent bank crisis and, where is not possible to avoid them, to intervene so that the crisis does not spread until they become systemic. The cornerstones on which the new system has its foundation are four: rules, supervision, guaranteeing the deposits and the mechanism of crisis resolution. The harmonization of the rules should be already reached through the emanation of directives on specific topics (on which now the intervention of the UE in banking and financial matters are endless), the proposition of Union Bank focuses on centralizing the supervision, on a crisis resolution mechanism and a system of deposit guarantees scheme. With particular reference to the centralization of banking supervision, the proposition of the European Commission from June 2012 (then significantly modified by the UE Council in last December) is that of unify and centralize at the European Central Bank (ECB) the bank supervision of the countries from the Eurozone.

But from a practical point of view, does this mean that Frankfurt will watch over our savings directly, and not Rome anymore (or the territorial base of Bank of Italy)? The answer is yes and no at the same time. The CEB in Frankfurt, in fact, will be provided with strong inspective, investigative and sanction powers and it will authorize, after a first examination by the National Authorities, all the banks in the Eurozone (and of some others States that will spontaneously join to the one-surveillance system, even if

Inoltre, tutte le istanze di acquisizione di partecipazioni rilevanti nelle banche dell’eurozona dovranno passare il vaglio della BCE. Ma c’è di più. Per gli istituti di credito di “rilevanza sistemica” (in Italia Unicredit e, forse, Intesa Sanpaolo) la BCE avrà competenze davvero molto estese: stabilirà anche limiti all’indebitamento, livelli di liquidità, requisiti in materia di controlli interna e corporate governance, ecc.

Alle autorità di vigilanza nazionale (nel nostro caso, Banca d’Italia e Consob) rimarrà una competenza ampia sulle banche di minori dimensioni (quelle non “a rilevanza sistemica”), oltre ad una supervisione del “day-by-day” anche di queste ultime. E allora…noi correntisti, risparmiatori e investitori europei possiamo dormire sonni più tranquilli? Probabilmente sì, non solo perché 4 occhi (quelli europei e quelli nazionali) vedono meglio di 2, ma soprattutto perché centralizzazione dovrebbe significare maggiore coordinamento, maggiore trasparenza e controlli più efficaci. Dovremo attendere ancora almeno un annetto perché il nuovo sistema entri in vigore, ma è importante entrare da subito nella nuova ottica di banca come realtà di rilevanza prima di tutto europea. Abbiate fiducia!

And so… can we account holders, savers and European investors sleep tight at night? Probably yes, not only because 4 eyes (Europeans and Nationals) see better than 2, but most of all because centralization should mean a better coordination, more transparency and more effective controls. We should wait at least almost a year for the new system to start working, but it is important to begin using the new perspective of a bank as a reality of European importance first of all. Just trust!

Ma questo non inganni: la prospettiva del premio è addirittura nazionale. Il risultato, evidentemente, è andato a valorizzare gli sforzi di un territorio che, più di tanti altri, negli ultimi anni sta cercando un rilancio economico e una diversificazione delle proprie vocazioni, andando appunto a riscoprire quelle che sono le sue potenzialità legate alla terra, ai sapori e alle eccellenze. Ma la ricerca del rosa che fa girare l’economia non è finita qui: GammaDonna, infatti, ha conferito anche un premio speciale e due menzioni a persone ed enti che hanno contribuito a riaffermare quei valori del fare impresa che l’associazione intende promuovere per il rilancio competitivo del Paese. Il premio speciale per l’imprenditoria sociale è andato così a Maura Biancotto, presidente del cda dell’Albergo Agenzia di Pollenzo, terra dove ha sede proprio l’Università di Scienze Gastonomiche. Le due menzioni speciali, invece, hanno riguardato Elena Bazzini, allevatrice dell’Appennino parmense e premiata per la categoria “Donne eroiche nell’agricoltura” e Coldiretti. L’associazione che rappresenta le imprese agricole, infatti, ha da poco attivato, riscuotendo un immediato successo,
