Summer Events
Black Coffee is a famous award winning jazz band formed in 1993 that has graced many musical stages in Croatia and abroad. Their recordings have included popular Croatian artists such as Gibonni and Oliver Dragojević as well as Daniele de Bonaventura, Robin Browne and Georgie Fame. The beautiful Zadar singer Martine Thomas will lead the evenings on July 20, Aug 3 & 17 Throughout July and August, the city will echo with pop and jazz events as well as klapa (a capella) evenings by the local performers. RATKO PETRIć RETROSPECTIvE ExhIBITIOn – DEPUTy’S PAlACE The retrospective exhibition which opens this October in Deputy’s Palace (Medulićeva 2) will present a cross-section of Ratko Petrić’s entire oeuvre. Sculptures, models, posters and printed matter, works on paper and archives and multimedia content by this great author from Zadar will be on display. The central theme of his artistic opus is man and his destiny. Extensively using irony, sarcasm and grotesque, he questioned the socio-political, cultural and artistic phenomena of his time in a very fresh and lucid way. Many of his sculptures and monuments can be seen in public spaces, mostly in Croatia, but also in Austria, Germany and Slovenia. AUg 23 - 28 Monoplay festival featuring contemporary dances and solo performances by Croatian and foreign dancers and choreographers. Along with the dance performances, workshops and lectures will be offered. Let your body feel the music as you watch these modern and innovative dances. The Monoplay Festival box office is open every day from 19:00 to 21:00.

The title was presented by the commission of ACES Europe, an association of sports cities in Europe based in Brussels that promotes EU programs focused on sports and physical activity which awards the title. CEv Eurovolley Women 2021 From August 18 to September 4 Zadar, Belgrade, Plovdiv, and Cluj-Napoca will host the eagerly anticipated 2021 edition of CEV EuroVolley Women – the flagship Volleyball competition for women’s national teams run by the CEV, with participation of the top 24 teams in Europe.
