International Organization for Migration (IOM)

Our Reach | Since 1951 IOM is the principal intergovernmental organization dealing with migration issues and the only global migration agency dealing with all aspects of migration. There are 165 Member States, including 8 states holding observer status. With offices in over 100 countries, we are dedicated to assisting migrants in need. We do so by providing services and advice to governments, migrants and the private sector. IOM works to help ensure humane and orderly migration to benefit migrants and societies, promote international cooperation on migration issues and assists in the search for practical solutions to migration challenges. We also provide critical assistance to migrants and persons internally displaced as a result of conflict and natural disasters.
