Iona Preparatory School

The purpose of Iona Preparatory’s Distance Learning Program is to ensure that the rigorous Irish Christian Brother education that students receive during our traditional, in-seat model continues to be delivered over a digital platform. This protocol may go into effect on a specific date determined by the Iona Preparatory Administration in accordance with the New York State Department of Education and New York State Department of Health regulations. The Distance Learning program was planned assuming that all students may be instructed to participate in an Iona Prep education completely online. However, this plan is also flexible enough to support the student population if we switch to a Hybrid Learning model, where a grouping of students would attend school in-seat and the remainder would participate online. This parent-student handbook serves as a guide for the 2020-2021 school year during the Distance Learning or Hybrid Learning model.
