At Iowa Corn we know trade matters. That is why the Iowa Corn Promotion Board (ICPB) invests checkoff dollars to partner with the U.S. Grains Council to build demand for corn in all forms around the world. One in three U.S. farm acres are planted for export and 32% of U.S. gross farm income comes directly from those exports. By acting as a bridge between U.S. suppliers and international customers, the U.S. Grains Council can help U.S. farmers maintain our leadership role in the global export market. Today the U.S. remains the world’s largest corn exporter known for high quality grain and a reliable supply. Did you know if Iowa were a country, we would rank in the top four for corn production? When trade works, the world wins. Go to grains.org for more information about corn exports.

U.S. CORN EXPORTS UP 65 PERCENT IN FY18/19
F
rom grains to value-added products like pork and beef, corn grown in Iowa is exported all over the world. In hopes to continue building demand for corn in all forms worldwide ICPB invests checkoff dollars to partner with the U.S. Grains. Because Japan is a mature and stable market for U.S. grains, they are price and quality sensitive. In 2018, Japan was the second largest global buyer of
U.S. corn. ICPB invests in the U.S. Grains Council to increase demand for corn by giving Japanese buyers up-to-date market information and discussing the advantages of quality and reliable U.S. corn with hopes to see Japan’s continued confidence in the U.S. corn crop.
