a Scuola’s Preschool program encompasses pre-kindergarten and kindergarten years and focuses on the development of children’s identity, autonomy and competence. Following the best Italian preschool tradition and best practices, the preschool curriculum incorporates the Reggio Emilia methodology and is articulated into five “Campi di Esperienza,” (Indicazioni Curricolari 2007) which can be considered pre-disciplinary educational areas. The staff is made up of highly qualified and dedicated Italian and American teachers. Classes are small and provide students with caring, individualized attention.
