[Call for Participants] IPSF AfROlympics 2021-22 The International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (IPSF) African Regional Office (AfRO) is opening a Call for Participants to apply for the AfROlympics. The AfROlympics will consist of multiple competitions from the different PD sub-portfolios for IPSF-AfRO members to test themselves and engage the IPSF-AfRO Member Organisations to see who would come out on top as well as create an educational and competitive environment. Competition Theme
The competition is themed The evolving role of the pharmacist and will cover all of the PD portfolio factored in the competition. The competition will consist of 4 branches, which are CE (Compounding Event), CSE (Clinical Skills Event), ISE (Industrial Skills Event), and PCE (Patient Counselling Event).

Competition Mechanism
The competition would be in two rounds: Preliminary and the Final round. Participants shall register as a team consisting of 3-5 members here. Teams can register for only one of the various competitions. The preliminary round would consist of a google form that will be created and distributed to the participants. The team should answer the questions within 30 mins for each competition since the time it becomes active, which will be communicated via
email. The answers will be evaluated and given points accordingly. The top 5 teams will be selected to go into Finals, based on their final scores. The finalists would then be given 1 hour 30 minutes prior to the online meeting time to solve the case and present their findings or create their scripts for a maximum of 10 minutes or less depending on the portfolio. Questions could be asked by the organizing team to the participants after their performance. Recordings will be evaluated and given points accordingly.

Opening and Closing Ceremonies
The Opening Ceremony at the AfROlympics is a remarkable extravaganza to declare the launch of the elite competition. Therefore, in order to mark the beginning of the AfROlympics, an Opening Ceremony consisting of the declaration of the competitions and workshops would be held. The opening ceremony will be held on both 8th May (16:00-19:30 GMT+0) and 9th May (17:00-19:30 GMT+0) through the zoom platform and will be shared on IPSF social networks. VI.
Prizes
Prizes will be awarded accordingly to a champion, a first runner-up, and a second runner-up from each sub-competitions. Prizes consist of an online certificate and IPSF-AfRO Souvenir at the AfPS. Each participant will also receive an online certificate of participation. VII.
Terms and Conditions ● Eligibility and Registration ○ All IPSF-AFRO members are eligible to participate. ○ A team consists of members from the same or different Member Organisations all from AfRO. ○ Participants can submit the Google form only one time. If one submits the form more than once, the first submission will be evaluated only. ○ If one or more team members do not desire to participate anymore, the team will still be eligible to participate.
○ Each participant shall submit the form within the specified period of time. Answers submitted after will not be accepted. ● Competition and Evaluation ○ The questions will be in English and participants must submit answers only in English. ○ In case of a tie, submission time will be taken into account for winner selection. ○ All decisions from judges and committees regarding the winners are absolute and cannot be contested. ● Post Competition ○ In order to receive the Online Certificate of Participation, the participants must submit the Feedback Google Form that would be sent post competition. If a Team does not, it will be considered that no one from that team worked.
