From Baba Yaga’s house to The Spaghetti Eater, this family-friendly interactive display aims to surprise and delight, blending art and engineering into marvellous storytelling machines.

Come along and see this unique exhibition of Ed Sheeran’s journey from Suffolk schoolboy to global superstar. Ed Sheeran: Made in Suffolk opened to coincide with the four homecoming concerts in Ipswich which brought his record-breaking Divide tour to an end. It features dozens of personal items never seen in public before, along with stunning paintings and sketches by Colin Davidson and photographs by Mark Surridge. People have come to see Ed Sheeran: Made in Suffolk from all over the world. If you want to join them entry is free but you will need to book in advance. There is also a wellstocked shop selling Ed memorabilia, including jewellery designed by Ed’s mum, Imogen. The exhibition is organised by Ipswich Borough Council and curated by Ed’s dad, John. IN NATURE
Discover the beauty of nature in this exhibition of photography and art. Explore 40 photogravures of natural forms by Karl Blossfeldt in this Hayward Gallery Touring exhibition. The German photographer was celebrated by the Surrealists and early modernists for his pioneering close-up images of plants and ć˜€ora. There will also be a chance to see natural history illustrations from the Ipswich Museums collection, along with works by local botanical illustrator Guy William Eves. Whether you enjoy art, love nature, or are interested in photography this exhibition will appeal and inspire.

This year we are inviting local community groups to take part in our first ever Christmas Tree Festival. Come and see our marvellous trees and vote for your favourite.
Create your own handmade cards and presents, and listen to jolly live music from local choirs and performers. There are lots of fun activities to get involved in ranging from free to £1, so come along and join in the festive cheer.

Talks and Tours Year of the Fly LECTURE THEATRE 1, GROUND FLOOR, WATERFRONT BUILDING, UNIVERSITY OF SUFFOLK Saturday 30 November 2019 has been designated the international ‘Year of the Fly’, a celebration of flies and their role in nature and human society. Come and listen to Erica McAllister – the UK’s top expert on flies (known as Diptera). There will also be an opportunity to see some of Ipswich Museum’s fly collection.
