bishop thomas grant secondary school feasibility study 2015 Feasibility Study, Streatham Project Stages: A
The feasibility study was commissioned by Lambeth Coucil as a result of current need of the schools in the respective area to accomodate more pupils. The project looks at a 2 phase expansion with 2FE (forms of entry). The expansion resulted in an extension of the existing school building and a reevaluation and refurbishment of the interiors. The interior refurbishment looked at a coherence between the existing school layout and the proposed extension. The chosen option was the option that was least invasive and therefore could be built without affecting schools schedule and is an indepenedent extension of the existing structure.
inside out houses 2011: Built project, Cefalu, Sicily
The 8 individual holiday residences built in Cefalu are a project for 8 families. They are their weekend retreats. Due to the hot weather in Sicily, the need to sink the houses as much as possible in the hill profile seemed almost natural. The interior garden came from the need of each family to have a private exterior space that would be both private and opened towards the sea. main project tasks: *individual house design *3D interior and exterior presentations

araki restaurant regents street, london 2013 Interior Design Stages: E-F-J-K
The project was commissioned by a Japoneese Chef. The restaurant was conceived on traditional Japoneese principles of space organisation. The larger room within the restaurant was a request from the client which left a restrictive amount of space for the bar and other sitting areas. The challange of this project involved merging the front area (bar) with the back side of the restaurant (serving area & kitchen).
guli factory (XIX century) industrial rehabilitation: arts & crafts center 2012 Diploma Project UAUIM
Guli is my Diploma project. It is an urban intervention more than a building (textile factory) reconversion as it aims to establish new functional connections among historic buildings in an economically & socially challanged periphery of Palermo, Italy. The site includes: a XVIII century nobiliary villa, a green space protected by law and a derelict XIX century textile factory on 3500sqm of land. In reconfigurating the site, a main visitors path was conceived to generate spaces either visually or phisically accessible. The path functions as a public space accessing private spaces.
innatur2012: urban production towers 2012 Competition: Shortlisted
The competition`s brief looked at a strategy of implementing architecture in a protected natural environment. Developing agriculture with the help of wetlands was a challange we set to ourselves for the Innatur competition. The towers we proposed form a system of urban irrigation that extracts water from the wetlands, purifies it and reuses it to grow agriculture vertically. The agricultural towers system can be used widely and can help through the network created help many areas redefine themselves and their potential as self-sufficient areas. The specific site for this competition was Vacaresti Lake, a wetland occupying 234 hectars in the heart of Bucharest, Romania. It felt like an expected intervention there as the lake has not been looked for since 1989, currently shaping a sensititve biodiversity. The towers, through their minimal footprint looked to resolve a wide variety of issues connected to the flora and fauna and concomitently with the issues the city sprawl faces.
shop front proposal 2016 Private Project, Bucharest, Romania
The shop is an initial sketch for the design of the interior and shop front of a bags shop that I was privately commissioned for. It was conceived as a liquid space where different characters (models) live in their own cocoon, each tailored to the bag they are presenting. The space intended to reflect a supranatural world that each customer could explore and be inspired by. More than a store it aims to have a theatrical performance value through the moving people and elements in the shop. Almost nothing inside is static. The shop front acts as an extension of the shop and is not stricly delimited by the glass that separates the inside from the outside. The Client`s budget was insufficient to achieve the construction of all the elements specified by the project, the project being currently put on hold.
catwalk design Freelance Work
The Catwalk is looking to create a surrealist environment in an enclosed space through what appears to be an unlimited enclosure(the brick wall). This is realised with the help of mirrors laced at each end of the catwalk space.
