Silginat®/Silginat® Strawberry

Medium viscosity, elastomer A-silicone with an alginatelike consistency, specially developed for the opposing jaw, temporary crowns/bridges and for the fabrication of splints. The use of an A-silicone for opposing jaw impressions as well as precision impression taking and bite registration produces an optimal, standardized interplay: the finished restoration has a significantly better fit and grinding in is no longer required in the majority of cases.

Precision impression

The indispensable instrument 速 Identium

10

Precision impression

Identium ® was specially developed for the one-step impression technique and combines the best of both worlds: the advantages of polyether materials coupled with those of A-silicones. Based on the entirely new material of Vinylsiloxanether® (VSXE®), Identium® provides excellent flowability, which in combination with exceptional hydrophilicity (lowest achievable contact angle of less

than 10° after 1 second) ensures optimal flow behavior in a moist environment, even in the narrowest sulcus crevices. Due to its highly elastic properties Identium® exhibits dimensionally accurate recovery and allows very easy removal. It is also odorless and has a neutral taste.

Product properties: ✓ Excellent flowability (best shark-fin values) ✓ Exceptional hydrophilicity (immediate contact angle <10°) ✓ Outstanding elastomeric properties of an A-silicone ✓ Odorless and neutral taste for relaxing the patient ✓ Extra-long intraoral working time (80 seconds), extra-short intraoral

90 seconds quicker and considerably more hydrophilic than polyether

setting time (2:30 minutes) ✓ Available as Regular set and Fast set, in cartridges 380 ml (5:1) and

50 ml (1:1)

User benefits: ✓ Wide product range: always the correct product for your requirements

The first real alternative to polyether

✓ Optimum product properties guarantee precise impressions ✓ Easy to remove, both from the model and from the patient’s mouth ✓ Now with shortened intraoral setting time for increased convenience ✓ Easy, reliable use in the new jumbo cartridge

Checklist Double mix impression (one-step putty-wash impression) with supragingival preparations

Working stage/measure 1.

Material

Select impression tray Ensure there is sufficient space between the tray walls and residual dentition, particularly if there are undercuts! (approx. 3 mm)

2.

Prepare impression tray: Apply adhesive 5 - 10 min. before taking the impression (adhere to the manufacturer’s instructions!)

3.

Assess the oral situation: Block out large undercut areas (sanitary bridges/very loose teeth)

Other – Preferably use closed trays – Use adhesive, even with perforated trays! (inside and outside)

Panasil®-adhesive (A-silicone)

Caution: Only use adhesive recommended for the impression material

Wax Sugi® or Pellet with Orthoskavident® C

4.

Clean tooth preparations

5.

Create dry conditions: Place retraction cords, if required

6.

Mix impression material: Homogenously mix high viscosity material

Panasil® tray Soft Heavy

Caution: Possible irritation with latex gloves

7.

Load impression tray with material Important: Also load the palatal vault area in the upper tray with material or place stops

Wax or A-silicone

Adhere to the working time! Implement the next stage at the same time!

8

Should retraction cords have been placed, withdraw them now and ....
