Professional / Practice - In practice as Jo Noero Architects in Johannesburg, South Africa from 1984 to 1999, as Noero Wolff Architects in Cape Town, South Africa, from 1999 to 2011 and as Noero Architects in Cape Town from May 2011 to date. - The practice has completed over 200 buildings which range in scale and complexity from single individual houses to large museums and other institutional buildings such as law courts and schools. - Jo Noero has lectured on his work, taught in many parts of the world and his work has been reviewed in journals and books both nationally and internationally. - Noero was awarded the Gold Medal for Architecture from the Institute of South African Architects in 2010. - Elected International Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects, January 2009. - Elected Honorary Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects, May 2000. - Noero has received international and national awards for architectural design including the Ruth and Ralph Erskine Prize from the Nordic Association of Architects in 1993, the Lubetkin Prize from the Royal
