Artist and printmaker Jennifer Lim, will take you through the basic steps in creating your hand-printed eco bag. With the techniques of image transfer, carving and a colourful range of fabric inks, learn the properties of linocut printmaking to customise your own tactile creation. Limited to 25 pax per session.

Australian artist Jennifer Lim, creates works inspired by her cross-cultural heritage and ties to Singapore. A printmaking graduate trained in Australia and Japan, Jennifer loves exploring rich historical locations,and supporting those keen to connect to creativity.
Learn the basics of letterform construction before transforming them into a gorgeous, 90’s themed masterpiece that features lyrics from your favourite 90’s soundtrack! Limited to 25 pax per session.
Leah Chong is a self-taught lettering artist and designer based in Singapore, with a keen focus on custom lettering and branding. She is passionate about typography and letters - modern, vintage and script styles in particular.

Velanda Natural Mood, previously Coriandoli, was founded by Mar Ávila in 2016. Their passion is focused in crafting eco and artisanal candle products, based on knowledge and respect for mother nature. They believe in encouraging individuals to be open minded and explore their creativity through their passion.
Mould your own wares ranging from bowls, cups to vases from clay with hand-building techniques. Experience the peaceful process of making pottery, while unleashing your creative juices! Limited to 25 pax per session. All works will be sent to the kiln for firing at the end of the workshop, and can be collected after 5 to 6 weeks.
Center Pottery is a social enterprise that offers clay workshops and classes for all ages. They work with psychologists to combine the science of modern psychology with clay art to create a structured therapeutic curriculum for the general public and mental health patients.

Since their debut performance in 2016, Shak and the Baits has been a growing household name in Singapore. Leading the band is Shak, a homegrown spokenword poetry artist and singersongwriter, who chronicles his life story through self-penned folk tunes and lyrics. Shak is also a finalist of MTV Project Aloft Star 2016 and the Noise Mentorship Programme 2016, and has since
19 produced various works including his debut single, "Taxi", released in 2017. With influences ranging from and inspired by a fusion of genres; Blues, Soul, R&B and Hiphop, Shak explains his journey in life through melancholic lyrics and groovy tunes that will tug at your heartstrings.
THEODOR A 3 MARCH 2018 6PM - 7PM CENTRAL PUBLIC LIBRARY B1 PROGRAMME ZONE
Theodora has been steadily carving her mark on the local music scene since 2012 when she started a humble YouTube channel that set her on an upward trajectory. Inspired by artists such as American folk act Iron & Wine and English pop singer Ellie Goulding, Theodora started writing her own songs at the age of 14 and has since released 2 EPs titled "Let Me In" and "Obsession".
As a singer-songwriter, she has since performed at various locations around Esplanade and also played at Singapore’s very own alternative music festival, Baybeats, in 2015. Her other accolades include features in the third season of The Straits Time’s online video series (ST Sessions) which features rising talents in the Singapore music scene, and Spotify’s Spotlight 2016.

A Singapore-based bedroom pop outfit born out of a fondness for off-kilter and playful melodies, sobs embodies a kitsch, yet instantly relatable charm through honest, straightforward and quintessentially pop songwriting. Driven by snappy, gleaming guitar lines and unassuming yet endearing vocal delivery, their songs tell everyday stories steeped in a characteristically lo-fi fashion.
FXTRT is a Math Pop band from Singapore. Blending a myriad of influences, their music consists of robust rhythm and tongue-in-cheek lyrics with a sprinkle of virtuosity. Combined with their high-octane performance, FXTRT will get you grooving to their music.

#A A: FILMMAKERS Meet alternative filmmakers, CLLRE CHONG and VADBIBES who stays true to their unconventional visual directions in their line of work.
CLLRE CHONG Clare’s main body of work consist of narrative shorts, music videos, experimental films, documentaries, commercials and more. Her works concerns the minute interactions humans have with one another. She is interested in issues prevalent in mundane life; the quiet moments, the wink of an eye, the shift in tone that consists of various nuances.
VADBIBES Jasper Tan, also known as Vadbibes is an alternative filmmaker and producer based in Singapore. Known for his unconventional and off the wall visual direction, Jasper is a oneman show that possesses the versatility to single-handedly film, edit and produce. His collaborations with the local art scene include the production and directing of videos for musicians like Gentle Bones and Villes.

MARC & NAOKO Takenouchi Webb is a partnership between British architect Marc Webb and Japanese interior designer Naoko Takenouchi. Famed for being Singapore Idol Top 5 finalist in 2006, Joakim Gomez has further boosted his entertainment experience and exposure by hosting events, singing, acting for television and theatre, and keeping 987 listeners entertained on "The Shock Circuit", weekdays from 4pm to 8pm. He has recieved formal training in theatre at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, and had plenty of experience hosting while serving his National Service in the Singapore Armed Forces Music and Drama Company. Sherry Abigail who is known by her stage name, Abby Simone, has been writing out her emotions since she was 15. What started out as poems later turned to songs. Her stylistic approach has been one of the reasons why people are drawn to her stories because she never settles to please society, instead she stands out and reminds herself that staying true to herself is one of her few satisfactions in this musical journey.

Stopgap is a Singaporean indie rock outfit which has appeared on the lineups of a multitude of shows and music festivals in Singapore. Most notably, the band won the Noise Singapore Award in 2013. In 2014, Stopgap released their single, “Crossing Swords”, which has garnered regular airtime on Singaporean radio. In 2015, Stopgap also launched their debut full-length album titled “Totems”. Since the album release, Stopgap has toured the album in Chennai, Bangalore, and Melbourne.

M1LDL1FE 12PM - 12.45PM
Formerly known as Take Two, M1LDL1FE cuts across the indiepop grain, weaving together lush electronic textures and eclectic dance grooves into the pop sensibilities of guitar-driven music of the early 2000s. They debuted their first EP, “PAIRS” in 2015, receiving critical acclaim from the local press and were slated to be
“one of the most exhilarating new acts to emerge from Singapore’s burgeoning indie-pop scene”. In 2017, following the depature of guitarist Johnathan Lim, the quartet rechristened themselves M1LDL1FE. Armed with a fresh and grittier sonic palette, the band released their eponymous EP in July, followed by a sold out EP Launch show in August.
Noise Singapore is an initiative by the National Arts Council Singapore. It is a key youth arts platform which aims to engage young people to actively participate in the arts to showcase their creativity. Noise Singapore is also dedicated to making noise about the creative talents of young people.
