What would a discoinspired wedding theme be without disco balls?

Rose Botanical combines hand-painted or -dyed dried plants including pampas grasses, baby’s breath, amaranthus, asparagus fern with the magic of mirror balls. Trailing garlands of fresh marigold keep the fun going.

The unexpected combo of oranges and purples creates a festive feel in these lush bouquets that mix flowing shapes and soft textures. Some stars of these arrangements are intricately painted anthurium, allium, dyed carnations, delphinium, and roses.

Clockwise from right: Our bride’s glam makeup is right out of the ’70s, featuring barely-there natural foundation, a peachy glow to her cheeks and a mulberry lip. Strategically placed press-on “gems” accent her dramatically dark lashes and natural brows, while kicky discoball earrings top off her sparkling look.

Signage by Lace & Sage puts it all in perspective.

Glassware with a lavender hue is a clever counterpoint to a whimsical tablescape of orange candles, vases and flowers.

Simple and inspired are the hallmarks of this tasty three-tiered delight from The Salted Cake. Textured Swiss meringue buttercream envelops the cake, with painted baby’s breath for a colorful floral note.

Who says you need a traditional gown? Our bride plays it cool in this bell-sleeve boat-neck sheath by Calvin Klein, while her attentive groom keeps it equally casual in a pale purple suit from Express.

Clockwise from top left: These boots are made for dancing! Completing her disco ensemble, our bride rocks these chunky ankle boots with clear heels.

Signage expresses the mood in this out-of-sight font and sentiment to match: “Pour decisions: Tonight’s drinks are free, tomorrow’s stories are priceless.”

Bouquets of signature purple and orange blooms festoon the welcome sign proclaiming the order of the day: “Get this party started.”

A bank of huge windows at The Whim event space in the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District flood the room with natural light to set off the wild floral installations. The lower one features a neon reminder: This is a forever love. A shimmery silver tablecloth and mirror ball compete for sparkling reflections, while Style Society's "Ava" chairs add a retro complement. *

I’m always drawn to fun colors and unexpected color palettes. This was actually inspired by my 3-year-old. He’s obsessed with the color purple, and my favorite color is orange, so I kept seeing the two together around my house. I loved the contrast of the soft lavender with a bright orange, and thought it would be a fun color palette to blend spring and summer.
