Move up to the next level in your career! A Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management opens the door to advancement, preparing you for management and leadership positions in a healthcare field. Healthcare managers are trained to plan, direct and coordinate medical and health services. They keep healthcare operations running smooth by making decisions, solving problems, monitoring resources, analyzing information, implementing healthcare programs and coordinating the work of others. Graduates may seek employment in a hospital, clinic, outpatient surgery center, physician’s office, public health agency, long-term care facility or laboratory. Others further their education with a graduate degree in healthcare management.
The IRSC Bachelor of Science Degree in Healthcare Management program is a selective-admissions program. You’ll learn about current trends and issues facing healthcare, and how to analyze and interpret data to improve customer satisfaction and the quality of healthcare delivery. You will also study the legal, ethical and financial side of healthcare and learn to work with, manage and motivate others in the workplace. Final consideration is based upon the completion of the following prior to the application deadline. Applicants must • Be at least 18 years of age prior to the first day of class; • Have earned an A.A. or A.S. Degree; • Complete the IRSC Application for Admission; • Complete the IRSC Bachelor’s Application for the Healthcare Management program and pay the $30 application fee; • Ensure all official transcripts are on file at IRSC Student Records; and • Consult the Healthcare Management Application Book for additional application requirements. Financial aid is available to those who qualify.
