Begin your career as a valued member of the healthcare team—trained to take x-ray and CAT scans to assist in diagnosing medical conditions. There is strong employment growth for certified radiographers. Graduates of the IRSC Radiography program take the national certifying examination given by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) and seek employment in a hospital, imaging center or physician’s office.
The Associate in Science Degree in Radiography is a selective-admissions program. You’ll learn about radiographic procedures, pathology, patient care and radiographic physics. Final consideration is based upon completion of the following prior to the application deadline. Applicants must • Be at least 18 years of age prior to the first day of class; • Have a high school diploma or GED®; • Complete the IRSC Application for Admission; • Complete the IRSC Health Science Application and pay the $30 application fee; • Ensure all official transcripts are on file at IRSC Student Records; and • Consult the Radiography Application Book for additional application requirements. Financial assistance is available to those who qualify. The IRSC Radiography program is fully accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). GED® is a registered trademark of the American Council on Education (ACE) and administered exclusively by GED Testing Service LLC under license.
