Hailed by critics everywhere for its transcendent and deeply emotional performances, Soledad Barrio and Noche Flamenca present flamenco in its purest form — with all the passion and fury. Their newest work, Searching for Goya, is inspired by the celebrated late 18th- and early 19th-century Spanish painter Francisco Goya. Through live performances and video projections, the company explores Goya’s response to the turbulent social and political changes of his time.

Since 1993, Artistic Director Martín Santangelo and Soledad Barrio have maintained the essence, purity, and integrity of flamenco. All aspects of the art form, from dance to song to music, are given equal weight, creating a true communal spirit within the company. Noche Flamenca has become one of Spain’s most successful flamenco companies with annual seasons in New York City and Buenos Aires, and return engagements at theaters worldwide.
