The UCI Symphony Orchestra is one of the premier large performance ensembles in Orange County. Representing the Claire Trevor School of the Arts Department of Music, the orchestra has existed since 1966 and offers music majors, non-majors, faculty and other community members the opportunity to study and perform symphonic music of the ages. Under the direction of conductor Dr. Geoffrey Pope, the orchestra performs music from the standard classical repertoire as well as recently created works and world premieres.
