FESTIVAL BALLET THEATRE WELCOME TO FESTIVAL BALLET THEATRE’S 2016 PRODUCTION OF THE NUTCRACKER!

We are once again honored to perform our magical rendition of this beloved holiday tradition at Irvine Barclay Theatre and celebrate another new season with you, our cherished patrons, friends and family members. Please join us in welcoming our esteemed guest performers – our four brilliant sets of Sugar Plum Fairies and Cavaliers: Yuan Yuan Tan and Tiit Helimets (December 10–11); Maria Kochetkova and Vitor Luiz (December 16–17); Sara Mearns and Jared Angle (December 17–18); and Irina Dvorovenko and Maxim Beloserkovsky (December 20–24). During the course of the past 28 years, FBT has had the privilege of presenting exceptional ballet through the work of many wonderful choreographers and dancers. Our season’s opening program – The Secret Garden – gave you a glimpse of the growth and versatility that FBT has achieved in becoming Orange County’s premier ballet company. In March, our season will continue with a classical ballet lover’s favorite, Don Quixote. This not-to-be-missed colorful production has it all! You’ll be enchanted by the flavors and rhythms of 17th-century Spain and experience the fiery gypsy spirit and passion of FBT’s full-length traditional production. The season culminates in August with our 10th Annual Gala of the Stars international ballet festival, showcasing ballet stars from some of the world’s most prestigious dance companies who will perform alongside FBT’s own accomplished resident dancers. While FBT continues to challenge itself and grow artistically, we cannot do it alone. I thank you for your continued patronage and support and look forward to seeing you throughout the year.
