Star in your own scary movie this school holidays Children can learn to film, edit and crate their very own Scary Movie Trailer at Isaac Libraries during Youth Week celebrations over the school holidays.

Mayor Anne Baker said young people, 10 years and over, are welcome to book a place in workshops being held across the region. “If scary movies aren’t your thing, there’s plenty of places to take an adventure in Isaac.
“For those families staying at home, tire the kids out at one of Isaac’s aquatic facilities or enjoy picnics at one of our local playgrounds. “There are adventures to be had at our local Isaac libraries with free school holiday activities catering for all ages. These include Easter and holiday craft, First 5 Forever rhyme time, and more.

“From relaxing family getaways by the water, great adult and children programs at our local Libraries and Recreation Centres. “We also have an awesome line up of movie marathons around the region during Youth Week and the school holidays. Mayor Anne Baker says there is something for everyone to enjoy in the region. “If you’ve never seen the dugongs off the coast of Clairview, been to Greenhill Beach to relax, or thrown in a fishing line in Isaac, than you are in for an untold adventure. “We have some top camping spots on our doorstep like Theresa Creek Dam, Lake Elphinstone and Windmill Bay in Cape Palmerston National Park.
“The Moranbah Coalface Art Gallery will also have One Million Stars exhibition on display from April 3-28 with a launch on April 6.

“10,000 stars woven by Isaac community and staff members will be exhibited as part of the One Million Stars Project. “One Million Stars to end violence is a love and peace filled community project. It was started by Brisbane artist Maryann Talia Pau and is supported by Queensland Government.”
