Construction of seven new memorial pillars with plaques well underway on Anzac Memorial
Hoods Lagoon Rejuvenation Project Update Works are steadily progressing on the Hoods Lagoon Rejuvenation Project to improve and maintain the Anzac Memorial Grounds in preparation for the Anzac centenary. To date the works have included: • Partially levelling the Anzac Memorial Grounds • Construction and installation of a retaining wall • Construction and rendering the seven new memorial pillars, with memorial plaques currently in production • Completion of maintenance to the Billy Sing Memorial In the coming weeks you can expect to see the following: • New sprinkler system installed • Landscaping works to the grounds • A timber fence being erected
• Painting and positioning plaques on the seven new memorial pillars • Painting of the retaining wall The Hoods Lagoon Rejuvenation Project will deliver long-term improvements to our natural, historical and recreational area.
