BACKING RACE CARNIVAL TO BE A WINNER Five local races and a high stakes fashions on the field contest are set to heat up the track at Pepperina Park this Saturday July 28. An annual event, the Tony Kenny Memorial Cup hosted by the Clermont Race Club honours former local racing legend and club stalwart Tony ‘Pud’ Kenny. Mayor Anne Baker said the community event also served to promote the rich agricultural heritage, and social significance of racing in the region. “Isaac Regional Council is proud to support the Clermont Race Club to host the Tony Kenny Memorial Cup,” Mayor Baker said.

“Nothing compares to the thrill and excitement of being trackside at a country race meet. “It’s a day for top class racing, good food and company, and is a great opportunity for the community to come together for a fun day out with family and friends.” Gates open at 11am and costs $10 for general admission.
