Clermont Swimming Centre reopened Isaac Regional Council is pleased to announce that the Clermont Swimming Centre has officially reopened. The reopening marks the completion of urgent maintenance works to install a new filtration system at the Swimming Centre. Major works as identified in an extensive specialist report will be undertaken in the Swimming Centre’s usual closure period during the off season. Council would like to thank the Clermont community for their patience during the closure period, and is pleased to reopen this valued community recreational space in time for the school holidays and Christmas period.
Last days to save on rates Isaac property owners have only days left to take advantage of Council’s prompt payment discount on rates. The 10 per cent discount for general rates will end on Wednesday December 9. Chief Executive Officer Rod Ferguson is encouraging ratepayers to take advantage of the discounts by making sure payment is received by Council on or prior to the discount date. “General rates contribute to the cost of vital community services in the region, including public facilities, environmental health, local roads, footpaths, bikeways, and much more.” Ratepayers are advised that Council rates and charges that remain unpaid after Wednesday December 9, 2015 will incur 11% interest per annum, compounded daily. Rate payment options can be found on the rates notices and are: • By phone using a credit card- simply call 1300 ISAACS (472 227) • By Direct Debit, the discounted amount will be deducted three working days before the due date, please contact Council for the application form
