“It will be fantastic to see our local youth enjoying the shaded skate park for many years to come.”
“The new fit for purpose design will deliver vital longterm infrastructure to Clermont.”
Council has installed new hard roof shade structures for parks in Dysart, Moranbah, Middlemount and Nebo.
Local Councillor Lyn Jones said the shade cover will provide much-needed sun protection.
The new fit for purpose design will provide youth with ample protection from the elements to enjoy skate parks year round.
“With soaring temperatures this summer, the new structure will offer a welcome reprieve from the heat,” she said. “Weather permitting, construction will take around four weeks and the ramps will be closed for public use during this time.
