Make your bid for a better Isaac If you have an idea to help make Isaac a better place to live, work and play, Isaac Regional Council would love to hear from you. Council is encouraging residents to submit Community Budget Bids for the 2016-17 financial year, which will assist funding decisions across the region. Mayor Anne Baker encourages residents to participate in the process to inform Council of their ideas prior to formation of the 2016-17 Budget. “Receiving resident input as to how Council can better serve the needs of our communities is an important part of our budgeting process,” she said. Community Budget Bids will remain open until Monday February 1, 2016. Community Budget Bid forms can be downloaded from www.isaac.qld.gov.au/budget or obtained by visiting your local Council office. Council also provides assistance to community groups and organisations through its Community Grants Program. More details are available at www.isaac.qld.gov.au/isaac-community-grants. Student’s deck Clermont’s Christmas Tree You may notice there are a few new decorations on Clermont’s community Christmas Tree this year. Council’s ‘School Christmas Decoration Project’ has given students from Clermont State School, St Josephs, Kilcummin and Mistake Creek an opportunity to get creative and deck the Christmas Tree with creative flare. The students have enjoyed being part of this project involving coreflute decorations and plenty of Christmas cheer. If you haven’t seen the tree yet, it is glittering in Rose Harris Park. Council wishes to thank all the students who participated and to Clermont Council Staff who had the enjoyable task of decorating the tree.
