THE ARK 2017 COMPETITION PROJECT/ IN TEAM WITH NAKHMAT SAMEDOV

6

Such an unique place and design of a religious architecture is always a great challenge. The aim of our work was to make a place where you can find solitary spot to spend some time alone or with someone you want to be with you at the moment. We were inspired by Biblical motif about Noah's Ark. We took a design of a lifesaver ship as a reference to our project trying not to imitate it. Body of a church reminds a of a ship, bell tower stands for leaned mast with ropes that keep it from falling and also it add dynamics to a project. A flood myth was an instrument of purification, so in our thoughts the way that leads to a Preikestolen brings to purification the most hardy and patient souls. Coming up to The Ark you'll see an austere church which doesn't argue with exciting environment of those places because the main world's temple is still nature.

VOLKHOV PLAZA 2017/ ACADEMIC PROJECT

The goal was to make new public space on a central square in small town Volkhov with a population of 40,000 people. This place has a pedestrian flow from all around it and a bus station. That’s why we see that you can get into public space from every corner and if you come from bus station or from opposite site you’ll go through a pavillions divided on different spaces but covered with one roof. Multiple function amphitheatre is situated in the center of the square so it can transform to a different needs of citizens. On sides of the amphitheatre there are a different parametric blocks that make people feel themselves free to play, sit and take pictures on them. Facade of one of those buildings was reconstructed specially to form right shape of the plaza by it’s double facade columns.

HYGGE 2017 WORKSHOP PROJECT/ IN TEAM WITH JULIETTA BOBROVA

Workshop called «Coastline: from wateland to collective design» made us think about something that can bring cozyness to an any place like wasteland. It could be anything. What association your brain gives to you when you here about cozyness? Сhamberiness, apartness, silence, wall that you can hide behind. But how to make wall in wasteland or in a field. Wall that won’t make that place worse, wall that you can pass through. We put ground of the wall upside down and make it of wooden sticks. So now it is a real wooden wall, but you can get inside it, alone or with somebody, and get a cozyness time inside. Or you can get higher and enjoy nature or a water or something else and you’ll be higher then others, they won’t affect you this moment.

THE TRIBUTE 2017 ART PROJECT

52

We have a lot of beautiful buildings here in St.Petersburg. And a huge amount of them are in a very bad conditions. And some of them are architectural monuments built by famous and not so famous architects. In that project i wanted to show people authors of forgetten monuments. I have chose 5 buildings and made portraits of their architects. I believe that it can evoke some interest among people that just were walking around and saw portraits of unknown people for them. So maybe someone will google it or ask a citizen who is on that picture.

Water tower of the plant ÂŤRed NailerÂť - a vivid example of a misunderstood monument. For most of the townspeople, this is a strange dominant in the abandoned industrial zone near the Baltic plant, for the international architectural community - perhaps the most famous monument of Soviet constructivism, a masterpiece brought to an emergency. In St. Petersburg, preserved a monument of industrial architecture - the water tower of the legendary Yakov Chernikhov, one of the most striking and brilliant architects of the twentieth century.

Residential house of Svirstroy workers made by Igor Yavein the Svirstroy house is distinguished by a sonorous color solution - a dark red tone of textured wall surfaces in combination with light gray details. The most active role is played by numerous balconies. In no other building of that period is there such a variety of their types, methods of grouping and drawing of details. Most of the balconies are connected with the loggias, and on the side of the square, where the building is given a dynamic turn, they are scattered in checkerboard pattern, complemented by side walls and have five variants of fences.

Red Flag factory Founded in 1855, the factory experienced great changes in the first post-revolutionary years. It was conceived to expand the factory production, but contrary to the tradition of those years, the competition for the development of the concept of building was not held, the project was entrusted to the German architect Erich Mendelssohn, whose designs appeared on the pages of Soviet architectural and construction magazines more than once.

Buturlina’s Mansion In the middle of Tchaikovsky Street, there is an elegant three-story mansion build by Herald Bosse reminding of the glorious times of Elizabethan baroque. The abundance of sculpture, molding, the elegance of forms, all this reminds of Rastrelli and the architecture of the first half of the XVIII century.

MIXIN’

2018 ART PROJECT

Everything have started with a regular academic task to make a flat composition out of rectangles. Inspired by Suprematism and works of Kazimir Malevich and Gustav Klucis i decided to make a triptych out of one composition. After that i felt like suprematism can reborn in something new and go the streets and it is a great base to make something NEW out of it. After that i visualised these thoughts by street work mixing different tecnhiques like poster and painting.
