ESSAYER QUELQUE CHOSE DE NOUVEAU EST TRÈS SYMPA « Bonjour à tous. Je m’appelle Kris, je travaille pour un magazine de couture et de tricot, mais je ne sais pas coudre. » C’était mon introduction à la formation de couture de 2 jours. Tous les participants étaient bien sûr hilares. Un groupe de dames enthousiastes... et un homme courageux. Tout comme moi, vraiment hors de leur zone de confort : chapeau !

Et c’est ainsi que ça s’est passé. Pour moi, tout était nouveau, même les bases de fonctionnement d’une machine à coudre. J’ai beaucoup appris en deux jours. Que la couture est aussi un travail minutieux requérant de la patience. Que des centaines d’épingles sont nécessaires. Qu’il faut beaucoup couper et repasser. Et que réaliser des vêtements ensemble crée du lien, un joli lien.

J’étais constamment étonné. Surtout lorsque les coutures se rejoignaient à la perfection, que la fermeture s’ouvrait et se fermait bien, et que le tout tombait bien, comme par magie. Et j’en suis encore émerveillé. J’en suis si fier, car je peux maintenant coudre un tant soi peu. Et c’est incroyable comme toutes ces sewistas de Fibre Mood cousent à la perfection !
