Target Audience 35–40 graduate and postgraduate students, infectious diseases specialists, clinical microbiologists and other specialties inter-ested in the association and impact of gender and/or sex differences on the epidemiology of clinical symp- toms, diagnosis, treatment and social impact of infections. All students and participants are requested to bring research projects, project drafts, cases and all other studies on the impact of gender and/or sex on infectious diseases and clinical microbiology. The size of the audience has to be limited because of the intention to incent future projects and developments in the field of gender aspects in clinical microbiology and infectious diseases. The expected synthesis between the input of the faculty and the students’ contribution to develop new projects or to discuss data and findings has to be based on a particularly interactive communication process in a smaller group.
