Japanese Language Course conducted at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur Message from Ms. Vatsala Misra Instructor, Foreign Language Programme, (FLP) Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK)

I am happy to share with you, through this message, my experience in teaching Japanese in the Foreign Language Programme at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. It has been a very satisfying experience to have been able to contribute in a miniscule way in furthering a greater academic and research collaboration between IIT Kanpur and Japanese universities. Joint workshops with the Japanese Language class of the University of Tokyo have been a great success. While teaching at IIT Kanpur, I have also had opportunity to lead initiatives such as creating an online course for beginners, and teaching special courses for Indian professionals and IIT students to join a Japanese technological giant. I am also happy to see an increasing number of students going to Japan for higher studies and internships, and building links there.
