I am a San Francisco artist who enjoys drawing and painting the cartoon as fine art. I grew up in Topeka, Kansas and received my first lessons in art from copying Hannah-Barbera cartoons by hand. I attended the University of Kansas where I graduated with BFA in Painting in 1988, and shortly after, moved to San Francisco to pursue my dream of becoming an artist. My exhibition career began in 1997 with a solo exhibition called "My Life as a Comic Stripper", a satirical show about the politics of exotic dancing in San Francisco. Now I exhibit internationally, such as the Museum Timoteo Navarro, Tucumán, Argentina, and Museo Regional de Guanajuato at La Cervantino Festival to name a few. I have been awarded several grants ranging from the Individual Arts Commission Grant, San Francisco to Media Arts Awards San Jose, CA. My artwork has been critiqued and published in several books, including Judy Chicago and Edward Lucie Smith's "Women and Art: Contested Territory" and "Vicious, Delicious, and Ambitious: 20th
