LEGENDS
WHAT’S INSIDE
FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER MOTHER’S DAY SUPPER CLUB
FEATURED REAL ESTATE
Dear Members,
We have enjoyed the lovely weather this time of year along with some wonderful Club events, tournaments and new programming.
Our team is committed to continuing this energy and momentum into the warmer months as we stage exciting Member events around Easter and our final Supper Club of the season. As we get into May, we will host our annual Cinco de Mayo Party at Shades and the traditional Mothers’ Day and Memorial Day events. In June and throughout the summer months, our monthly ‘Sundaes at Shades’ will also start again.
Club enhancement projects continue to be guided by exchanges and feedback from scores of Members. We continue to look for ways to enhance and amplify key landscaping areas, and the recent ice bath addition to the Men’s golfer’s locker room will be replicated in the Ladies locker room. The splash pad has also been resurfaced and is ready for the summer. We have added privacy screening to the Champions games area and the Fitness Center will see the delivery of new treadmills as part of our ongoing replacement of equipment.
As the #16-ranked Platinum Club of America, we pride ourselves in maintaining the highest levels of service, quality and decorum within the Club. As such, I would like to offer a friendly reminder for all Members to help us to maintain the tradition of excellence for which Isleworth is noted by being considerate with regards to no speaker phone use in public areas of the Club and the observing of dress standards. Likewise, when on the golf course, out of respect for our homeowners, please advise the Professional Shop if you hit a house or road during play or practice.
The above will all help us maintain the Lewis family’s ambition to create informal elegance and a relaxed and friendly Club atmosphere.
As we have stated before, Isleworth is a special club because of our Members. We have added some strong new talent to the team and to our culinary team, and are looking to enhance the team with an Executive Sous Chef and Food & Beverage Director. We continue to encourage Members to help the team by making advanced dinner reservations, which allows us to focus on providing excellence in food and service.
We appreciate your support of our employees always and look forward to seeing you in the coming months.
Kind Regards,
Wayne Sheffield WAYNE SHEFFIELD GENERAL MANAGEREXECUTIVE CHEF JASON HALL
With Jason’s 22 years of culinary experience at Isleworth, we are pleased to announce his new role as Executive Chef starting at the end of April. Jason’s expansive knowledge is a culmination of training along side of four previous Executive Chefs, each of which provided Jason with an array of high caliber skills over the years. This, paired with his seasoned relationships with Members’ and his focus on Member satisfaction, the next era of your culinary experience at Isleworth awaits.
Q: WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED FROM EACH EXECUTIVE CHEF AT ISLEWORTH?
A: “There are so many great things each one brought out in me. Chef Randy taught me the basics when it comes to fundamentals in the kitchen, as he was my first Chef when I started at 18. Chef Russel taught me everything that is right about cooking from the ground up, where it originated, where it came from to who the chef was that first created a specific dish. Next, Chef Robert taught me about plating specifically. His focus was on the next best thing with trends, always staying ahead and implemented more of a modern technique into my style of cooking and plating. He brought in more high end ingredients and products, showing more of a technical side of food I had yet been introduced to. And most recently, Chef Andres has brought out my most creative side. Andres has taught me more of an outside of the box kind of thinking allowing me to be as creative as possible, creating great experiences not only for our Members but as well as my fellow peers. Andres has been one of the greatest mentors I’ve had so far in my time as a chef here at Isleworth and I truly appreciate all that he has brought to this Club.”
Q: WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR THIS NEXT ERA OF CULINARY EXPERIENCES AT THE CLUB?
A: “I will continue our growth as a team here at Isleworth, creating more structure and continued culinary education, so that we can provide the best ingredients and make lasting memorable experiences for our Membership.”

GOLF COURSE ENHANCEMENT Overview & Update
As we embark on the next stages of our extensive golf course enhancement, we wanted to update you where we are. The project began in 2021 and we are well underway with our planned refurbishments over the coming months. The project has been phased over the four (4) years to minimize disruption of play. Upon completion, the course will have improved turf, new greens, improved bunkers and modern irrigation. Principals of our renovation will support a more contemporary course with added drama, reduced watering and mowing areas, as well as bunker size and locations all while maintaining the essence of the original Arnold Palmer design.
• Increase the overall drama of the course without making it more penal for good shots
• Reduce square footage of bunkers that are inconsequential for many golf shots - New liner drainage and sand in all bunkers
• Increase overall accessibility of bunkers for improved ingress and egress
• Keep overall contouring of greens similar to current layout but accounting for modern pace and pinnable areas - all new USGA spec greens
• Remove some out-of-play turf with native grasses to minimize labor/water and add color - all turf replaced for consistency
LOOKING AHEAD
• Beginning in January we will begin spraying turf in preparation for upcoming closure
• Course will close April 15, 2024 with a target re-opening of November 2024
• During this time the driving range will be open seven (7) days a week
• We will have daily tee-times at our sister Club, Lake Nona Golf & Country Club, as well as other local Clubs
• Regularily planned arrangements will be made at other Clubs for play
Completed
Pump house replacement, extended tees (#2, #11, south range), new tees added (#2, #15, #16), #4 green/#5 tee pathway
Irrigation main line install, add pathways, native areas (#2/#9/#14 tees, #17 green, north range tee extension)
2023 2024
Ongoing native areas, spot bunker work, ongoing path project
We will continue to communicate hole-by-hole design tweaks over the coming months.
