Tournament & Event Guide

Dear Member,

It is with great pleasure that we enclose our new Tournament Schedule for the 2023-2024 season at Isleworth Golf & Country Club.

Isleworth Golf & Country Club is many things to our Membership, but the golf course, facilities, staff and golfing community have always been and continue to be a fundamental part of the Isleworth experience.

As you look through this booklet you will notice some substantial changes in the calendar to accommodate a successful event schedule given the closure and renovation of the course beginning April 15th.

Starting in Mid-January, the maintenance team will apply herbicide to the course to begin the process of eradicating the current turfgrass to prepare for the renovation. The turf will brown out, but the course should play firm and fast.

We are attempting to play the guest events before the course transitions to this phase, so we will be playing our Member Guest Showdown much earlier in the season than normal. As the winter continues on, most of the events being held will be member-only to maximize member enjoyment before the impending closure.

Knowing that the course closure will be an inconvenience to the membership, we have several options for you to enjoy golf while the course is closed. These options are outlined in the Master Plan and include new reciprocal courses and range hours seven days a week.

We are grateful for your support, your passion for the game and your shared enthusiasm for this upcoming golf season.

Please let me know if you have any questions or needs. I, along with my entire staff, stand ready to help make this season most enjoyable for all.

Divot Patterns

To maximize the grass on the driving range, please place your ball at the back edge of your previous divot. This placement disturbs the least amount of turf and contributes to the quickest growth and recovery of the turf.

Golf Course Etiquette

Please observe the following golf course etiquette at all times:

Fill all divots with sand, rake bunkers and repair ball marks.

Member must keep golf carts at least 30 feet from putting greens and follow other guidelines requested by the Golf Professional Staff.

Slow play is not tolerated at Isleworth. Always keep up with the group ahead of you and do not hold up play behind. Kindly report any slow play to the Pro Shop.

If any group’s pace of play holds up the grounds behind them and, at the same time, the group has at least one hole open in front of them, they should either play faster or stand aside and let the following group play through.

There are no restrictions as to the number of Members allowed in a group, with permission from the Golf Professional Shop. However, if a group has more than four Members, they should stand aside and let the following group play through to ensure enjoyment for everyone.

Those groups who have been permitted by the Golf Professional Shop to start on the #10 tee will be allowed, as they make the turn, to alternate with groups on the #1 tee. Non-playing children or guests are not allowed on the golf course or practice facilities at any time.

Range balls are not permitted on the golf course.

Handicaps and Handicapping

It is the responsibility of the Member to maintain an accurate handicap index for purposes of playing in Club events. All rounds of golf must be posted (7 out of 9 holes or 14 out of 18 holes are postable rounds) the day they are played to maintain accurate handicaps.

Member and guests must have valid handicap indexes for any Club event and all indexes are subject to review and possible alterations by the handicap committee (per Rule 71.a of the USGA Handicap Rule Book). Failure to maintain an accurate handicap index may prevent participation in Club events.

Be courteous and respectful to the staff, guests and other Members at all times.

For tournaments, competitions, and events, all players must putt out.
