Today we are stronger To write about 2012 is to reflect on challenges addressed with strength and determination. Going back over the events of the last year we discover the real extent of the work undertaken. This report features the milestones and results which are proof of the Isolux Corsán Group’s capacity to continue to expand internationally and to consolidate its activity against the backdrop of a global economic crisis. Our greatest achievement has been to meet the objectives set during complex and uncertain times, during one of the worst recession-hit years which has, in particular, affected countries in the European Union. In spite of the generalised downturn in activity, the results achieved in 2012 by the Group have, once again, demonstrated our capacity to adapt to difficult environments. The company’s international expansion, characterised by constant growth, has been absolutely essential for ensuring that the results of the past financial year are the best figures to date in our wide spanning history. A satisfactory close within a critical cycle in the world’s economy. In 2012 our business portfolio reached 46,481 million euros, 7.8% more than the previous year

and revenue of €3,410 million, also higher than the figure for 2011. The EBITDA has once again beaten its historic record reaching €521 m. The participation of the largest Canadian manager for pension plans PSP (Public Sector Investment Board) in the infrastructures concessions business with fresh capital of €500 m is, undoubtedly, one of the most important milestones of 2012. This operation meant the creation of the branch Isolux Infrastructure as it is known today and reinforces the company’s expansion plans. Moreover, this means recognition of Isolux Corsán’s position on the international market and demonstrates the trust our company generates to take on large-scale road and energy infrastructures projects. Isolux Infrastructure manages the concession of motorways, high voltage power transmission lines and photovoltaic energy generation power plants with an investment of €6,900 million in its assets. The challenges addressed in 2012 were not only of a financial nature. Over the last year, strategic and ambitious projects have been executed such as in the Amazon. The construction of 1,191 km

of high voltage transmission lines through the Amazon Rainforest is an extraordinary undertaking which made maximum progress in 2012. We erected more than 1,800 high voltage pylons, two of which have a height of 295 metres which cross the Amazon River. The lines enable connecting the areas of Manaus and Macapá to the national electric grid in Brazil. Respect for the environment in this world natural reserve is reflected in every action undertaken by our team.
Isolux Corsán started the expansion of the road infrastructure business more than twenty years ago.
This execution, of paramount importance for the development of Brazil, is added to the management of 680 km of motorways in the state of Bahía and the concession of 3,279 km of high voltage lines in the country.
The Group has also extended its presence in Africa with large-scale projects linked to the production, transport and distribution of power in some ten countries and in the environmental and infrastructures areas.
The construction of 605 km of transmission lines in Texas was another of the projects which made most progress over the last year, thereby consolidating our activity in the USA, a strategic market replete with opportunities in the infrastructures sector where the Group is interested in diversifying its business.
In Spain, one of the countries hardest hit by the economic downturn, the drastic drop in public tenders has not prevented the Group from being awarded projects and maintaining its activity in all of its corporate business areas.
In Mexico we completed an important communications network with the Perote - Banderilla motorway and the Xalapa bypass, a country where
Likewise, the presence of the Group on the Asian continent increases each year and our activity already covers nine countries amongst which India continues to be the most important. For the first time we have won contracts in Armenia and Uzbekistan for the construction of road infrastructures.
CI 01 02 03 04 05 06
The endeavour of all those who form part of Isolux Corsán is reflected by these results. We have worked as one large team and we are looking towards the future with optimism and the certainty that these difficult times will make us stronger.

An expanding strategy The expansion and diversification strategy pursued by Isolux Corsán on the international market over recent years has allowed achieving a business portfolio of €46,481 million in 2012, 82.4% originating from abroad. The world economic crisis has not stopped the company from increasing its international revenue to as much as €1,973 million, which represents 68.3% of turnover. In 2012, the Canadian pension plans manager PSP (Public Sector Investment Board) invested €500 m in Isolux Infrastructure, the branch of Isolux Corsán which manages the concession of motorways, high voltage transmission lines and photovoltaic solar energy power plants. This operation reinforces the company’s capacity for growth and recognises the Group’s positioning on the international market. Isolux Corsán closed 2012 with its presence in 38 countries on four continents. By geographic areas, America has consolidated its importance and represents 51% de of the Group’s turnover, followed by Europe (32%), Asia (12%) and Africa (5%). America: Brazil, USA and Mexico, key markets In Brazil, one of the strategic countries in the new world economy, the company has strengthened its presence with new contract awards.
The Group managed to win the contract for the second phase of the works on Line 4 of the Sao Paulo Underground, with a total execution budget of €239 m. This project will meet the demand for public transport in the metropolitan area of this city and will provide service to one million passengers per day. Moreover, the company will build the first batch of the north section of the Mario Covas ring road, the only bypass road in Sao Paulo, with a length of 6.42 km and an investment of €238 m. Isolux Corsán maintains its activity in all business areas in this country. It is constructing and operating 680 km of motorways in the state of Bahía, with a total investment of €710 m, and has 3,279 km of high voltage transmission lines and associated transformer substations. Moreover, it is constructing 1,191 km of 500 kV and 230 kV high voltage lines which will connect Manaus and Macapá to the national electric grid by crossing the Amazon Rainforest. The Group has increased its presence in the USA by consolidating its operations in Texas, where progress is being made on the construction of 605 km of transmission lines through WETT (Wind Energy Transmission Texas). Isolux Corsán is aware of the importance of this country in its international development plans and interesting business opportunities are currently being studied in transmission lines and energy.

The completion of the Perote - Banderilla motorway and the Xalapa bypass was the great milestone in Isolux Corsán’s activity in Mexico in 2012, the year during which new awards were won in the construction area. In Colombia, the company is constructing the Port Bahía quay, in Cartagena de Indias, an infrastructure with two docking positions which will have an initial storage capacity of one million barrels in five tanks. The amount of this award is €149 m. In this country Isolux Corsán is also developing an EPC project for a bioethanol plant for the local company Bioenergy. At the same time the company has penetrated the photovoltaic solar energy market in Latin America with the construction and operation of power plants in Majes and Repartición, in Arequipa (Peru).
The company expanded the Construction division by entering Armenia for the first time with a contract of more than €191 m, considered as the largest road infrastructures project awarded in this country for the construction of more than 90 km of roads. In Bangladesh, an agreement has been signed with General Electric for the acquisition of a turbine for the construction of the combined cycle power plant being executed by Isolux Corsán in Siddhirganj. Moreover, the Group has gained its first contract in Uzbekistan, for the amount of more than €133.7 m, for the construction of 58 km of motorways in the regions of Tashkent and Andijan, to the north-east of the country. This is one of the most important and strategic connections for passenger and goods transport.
Asia: India, focus of the strategy Africa: expansion and development In India, one of the countries with the greatest potential in Asia and one of the most important for Isolux Corsán, the Group is the first European developer of large-scale infrastructures thanks to the 700 km of the four motorways which it has under concession and construction. It also works on the execution of various transmission lines in Uttar - Pradesh, participating in the enlargement of two 132 kV transformer substations in Maharashtra and is executing the facilities for the Mohali shopping centre.
The Group was also the successful bidder for an important project to construct five electric transformer substations in the Republic of Uganda which will connect the networks in this country to its neighbours in Kenya and Rwanda with a budget of €26.3 m. Furthermore, it will carry out its first project in the area of infrastructures in Senegal, the country in which 194 km of the RN6 road and the Kolda bridge will be built.

Throughout 2012, the company made vast progress in the construction works for transmission line projects by preparing the start-up of operation of several of these during 2013. In Brazil, Isolux Corsán has 3,279 km of high voltage transmission lines, the majority of which are in operation. In this country, where the company has been working for more than ten years, one of the most complex of the Group’s projects is underway: the construction of 1,191 km of transmission lines in the Amazon. Almost all the sections corresponding to the JTE line were completed in December 2012, starting operation in February 2013. The transmission line concessions managed by the Isolux Infrastructure branch are concentrat-
ed in the three most strategic countries for the Group: India, Brazil and the USA. Isolux Corsán is building 1,600 km of high voltage lines in Uttar Pradesh, India. The company managed to penetrate the Indian energy market with the largest contract in the country in 2011 for the construction and management of 765 kV and 400 kV lines, two GIS transformer substations and three AIS transformer substations, for 37.5 years. In 2012, the project was the winner of the Project Finance 2011 award for the transaction of the year by virtue of the innovative nature of the structure selected and the agreements signed for the EPC, as well as by virtue of the leverage levels achieved for the project financing. In 2012, WETT reached the halfway point in the project execution and the development of its

control centres and equipment and reached the optimum level for its certification. With this project, Isolux Corsán has become the first non-American company to gain a concession for one of the sections of this enormous infrastructure. The lines will transfer the energy generated by the wind farms in the north-east of the State of Texas to the south-east. It is in this area of the country where most industry and population is concentrated around the large cities of Dallas and San Antonio.

MW in operation and development
Through T-Solar, a branch of Isolux Infrastructure, the Group manages 284.5 MW of photovoltaic solar energy in Spain, Italy, Peru, India, the USA and Puerto Rico. T-Solar is one of the main independent producers on the electricity generation market of a photovoltaic solar nature - in terms of installed capacity - and makes a firm commitment to international expansion. Amongst the main milestones of 2012, the construction of two new power plants are outstanding which total 55 MW, in California and Puerto Rico and which will start operation in 2013. With an investment in both projects of more than 160 million dollars, the new plant in California will add 52 GWh per year to the country’s interconnected
electric system, whilst the power plant in Puerto Rico, located in the municipality of San Germán, will generate 48 GWh. The Group has partnerships with MEAG, the asset management company of Munich Re - one of the main insurance groups in the world - and the global investment firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. The commissioning of two photovoltaic solar power plants in Peru, with 44 MW of installed power, has been another of the major milestones. These farms, Repartición and Majes, which were inaugurated by the Peruvian president Ollanta Humala, represent an investment which exceeds 165 million dollars and constitute the first photovoltaic solar energy projects on a large scale in Latin America. 40.28%
of average growth in the total number of spaces in operation over the last six years
The area of Car Park Concessions at Isolux Corsán increased its turnover in 2012 thanks to the commissioning of new projects, as well as the consolidation of the car parks already managed by the Group. The start-up of operation of the car park in the Nuevo Hospital de Burgos, with a total of 1,378 short-stay spaces, represented an increase in the total number of spaces in operation up to almost 20,000. 84.71% of the spaces managed by the Group are operative, 10.25% are in the design phase and 5.04% under construction, from a total of 23,568. The consolidation of the other car parks which are in the ramp-up phase have also contributed to improving the growth of the company compared to the previous year. The total of both factors meant that 2012 closed with a turnover figure of €10.7 m, which implies a percentage increase of 13.21% compared to the previous year. Given the growth figures, 2012 can be classified as a financial year of activity consolidation in the area of Car Parks for the company. Currently, the car park for the Hospital Virgen de las Nieves de Granada and that for the Nuevos Juzgados de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria are under construction. These infrastructures represent a total of 1,188 spaces under construction which are due to be opened throughout 2013. The award of the car park Plaza Juan de Austria in Valladolid, with 789 spaces, is another significant milestone of 2012 for the Group’s Car Park area. Since 2006, Isolux Corsán has increased the number of car park spaces to 16,471. These fig-
ures translate into an average weighted growth of 22.14% between 2006 and 2012. At the same time, the average weighted growth in the number of spaces in operation over the last six years is approximately 40.28%.

74% of progress in works with the construction of the Loma Blanca wind farm in Argentina
Isolux Corsรกn has vast experience in the design, financing, construction and operation of wind farms with 471 MW of total accumulated power. The company is developing 200 MW originating from the award won in 2010 in a public tender with the Argentine government. The 200 MW project is divided into four 50 MW modules. The first 50 MW module is financed by the bond issues, in a financial operation which was given Fitch rating BBB. With a construction period of 16 months, this Loma Blanca module includes the construction and operation of a 50 MW plant with 17.3 MW wind turbines and 44 km of 132 kV lines for power evacuation from the farm located in Puerto Madryn. In 2012, the progress of the works reached 74%, whilst operation is forecast for June 2013. Once the first two modules have been finalised (100 MW) the construction of the last two will be started, the commissioning of which is planned for May 2015. Loma Blanca is one of the most important wind generation projects in South America with a to-
tal investment of $510 m. During 2012, Isolux Corsรกn continued to pursue its internationalisation strategy in the area of Wind Power Concessions.

In 2012, the company completed the construction of the crossover over the Amazon River, with a length of two kilometres, with two transmission pylons with a height of 295 m. This project includes the construction of 1,191 km of high voltage lines: LXTE, 500 kV and 2,400 MW; and LMTE, 500 kV and 230 kV, with 2,400 MW and 900 MW respectively, which will enable the use of renewable energy for electricity consumption in the region of Manaos, the largest city in the Brazilian Amazon. With 1,800 pylons, the execution of this project required the use of 26,000 km of aluminium cable, the equivalent of more than half of the world’s circumference. In order to minimise the environmental impact, the company has limited intervention in wooded areas, taking advantage of existing paths and river transport and avoided soil movements in natural drainage areas.

MW under construction in generation power plants in 2012
The generation area of Isolux Corsรกn has made every endeavour in 2012 to draft studies and submit proposals for international projects, thus laying the foundations for increasing the contracting level over the forthcoming financial years. Its undertaking in bids has diversified in America (Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Argentina), Africa (Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa and Angola), Asia (India and Bangladesh) and the Middle East (Kuwait). Of equal strategic importance for the Group is the tightening of its relations with the manufacturers and technology experts for gas and coal-fired power plants. During 2012, Isolux Corsรกn collaborated with leading manufacturers with different equipment supply formulas (fundamentally turbines), integrated services (power islands) and consortium participation for the joint provision of EPC services. In the case of General Electric, the acquisition contract
was concluded for a turbine type 9FA, the steam turbine and the recovery boiler for the Siddhirganj project in Bangladesh and various quotations have been presented according to the aforementioned formula of consortium participation. In Bangladesh, the Group continued with the construction of an open cycle (using Alstom technology) electric generation power plant with an output of 180 MW in Khulna, the city located 150 km from the capital, Daca. The power plant will contribute to providing electricity for a population of five million inhabitants. This contract was awarded by the national electric company in Bangladesh North-West Power Generation Company. 2012 also saw the start of works for the second project in this country: a combined cycle power plant with an output of 330 MW in Siddhirganj

M€ business portfolio in the construction area
The Group has continued to commit to the internationalisation of activities in the Construction area, a sector which has been severely hit in Spain as the result of the economic crisis and the drop in public tenders, which has seen a fall of 46.4% compared to 2011 and which has an accumulated decrease of 84.19% over the last five years. Over the last year, the volume bid for by all Spanish public authorities dropped from €26,209 million in 2010 and €13,755 million in 2011, to €7,378 million. Such difficulties have not prevented Isolux Corsán from keeping its business portfolio at €3,310 million, as per 31st December 2012, thanks to
the excellent globalisation strategy for activities in this area. Of these, €1,898 million correspond to the international market and €1,412 million to the national market. The international market represented a turnover of 43% for the Group in construction during the previous financial year, whilst the domestic market reached 57%. The business portfolio has reversed for the first time, with 57% of projects pending execution outside Spain as per 31st December 2012. Isolux Corsán has completed and put the Perote - Banderilla motorway and Xalapa bypass into operation. This constitutes the most modern and safest road in the state of Veracruz, thereby reducing distances and boosting the region’s economy, and that of the entire country, since the time savings are considerable for communication to the capital and other regions, primarily for the municipalities of Banderilla, Las Vigas, Jilotepec and Perote, amongst others. This motorway has four lanes and a total length of 60 km, an installation of more than 360,000 m3 of asphalt agglomerate over its entire length, in addition to the execution of 18 major structures, 68 minor structures and 221 drainage works. It is worth highlighting a tunnel with a length of 342 m and a section of 180 m2, one of the largest in the whole of Mexico; two viaducts with progressive cantilevers, one with four spans with a length of 470 m and another with two spans with a length of 172.20 m; in addition there are three viaducts with
launching beams and lengths of 157 m, 84 m and 150 m, respectively. The company also supplied, installed and started up two toll plazas with various payment options and the ITS (Intelligent Transportation System) management system throughout the entire motorway. With an operation period of 45 years, this motorway exudes the highest standards in quality and environmental protection and its start-up responds to one of the greatest demands made by those in Veracruz by providing an important logistical communication link to connect the Gulf of Mexico and the high plateau area of the country, having now become one of the most emblematic projects in Mexico.

The increase in training hours received per participant confirms the commitment by the company to offer complete training which contributes an additional value to the worker in their job. The proportion of women participants in training also increased in 2012, which proves the Group’s special involvement in the development of equal opportunities policies. 2012 allowed us to strengthen our staff’s technical skills to the maximum, thereby occupying almost double the training hours compared to 2011, once the high sectorial demands made in previous financial years with regard to training on the prevention of occupational risks had been resolved. We have also extended training objectives in languages with new groups of French classes which are in addition to those of English, Portuguese and other utilities.

Global growth strategy 2012 was particularly productive with regard to our growth strategy and internationalisation. We relocated our professionals to undertake projects in three new countries; Chile, Bolivia y Armenia. We also laid the foundations to send our team to execute innovative projects in 2013 in countries such as Uzbekistan, United Arab Emirates, Senegal and Uganda. The Human Resources area has outlined a new International Mobility Standard with the objective of setting forth the principles and guidelines which make up the basis on which the management of international mobility is to be applied for all staff in the Isolux Corsán Group.

Fundamental objectives • To develop an internal standard framework, generally applicable to all countries where Isolux Corsán is present, which regulates the international mobility of staff by responding to the needs of each business area and by maintaining rational cost criteria. • To specify the salary scheme and the additional benefits for employees subject to international mobility. • To unify the criteria to be followed by all business areas in the management of international mobility, thereby allowing fulfilment of fiscal and employment obligations both in the source and target countries. Last year we had more than 230 expatriates on four continents and 72 new expatriations.

We are promoting equality, cultural diversity and social integration From Human Resources we are promoting the principle of equal opportunities for everyone. As a result, we pay special attention to undertaking actions which contribute to the equal treatment and opportunities for men and women in all our processes and activities:
As a whole, we promote collaboration and cooperation between teams and people both in assigning projects and functions as well as through our communication and collaboration tools.
• Training
The Group, with its particular awareness of social responsibility, maintains the firm commitment to facilitating the integration of people with disabilities in order to favour personal and professional development. We have set contracting objectives and actions directed at facilitating accessibility and the elimination of barriers which are to the detriment of anyone. As part of this commitment, on an annual basis, through various foundations, we contribute to the wellbeing of groups with different disabilities.

• Selection processes • Internal mobility • Performance assessment • Internal promotion
From its very basis this equality policy integrates all our projects and leads us to promote the efficient management of talent between women and men throughout the organisation.
Isolux Corsán promotes the reconciliation of its employees’ working and family life as part of the commitment made to its staff. Family Plan
Isolux Corsán ensures a balanced distribution of staff and works to improve working conditions, promoting reconciliation measures and driving a company culture oriented towards equality and the prevention of any discriminatory conduct. The global nature of the Group, with professionals with more than 35 nationalities, induces us to defend the integration of cultural diversity in our organisation and the confluence of perspectives generates value in our activity.

Healthcare, the most special obligation The company has continued to develop important management in the protection of health. Medical check-ups for employees By applying specific medical protocols based on the risk assessment for the different positions in Spain, a total of 7,785 medical check-ups were carried out: 4,408 on new employees and 3,377 annual periodic checkups.
Medical assistance Isolux Corsån provides direct healthcare in its headquarters through doctors and nurses, as well as on different sites. Amongst the activities undertaken by the medical staff it is worth highlighting medical check-ups in order to assess the worker’s aptitude in performing their job and the provision of healthcare and first-aid. Moreover, health campaigns are carried out according to the needs of each of the countries where we operate, such as malaria checks or vaccinations for influenza. International activity In all of the activities we undertake we comply with the standards in force in each country with regard to the health and safety of its employees by collaborating with local clinics and, if necessary, specialised institutions. All staff, whether local, displaced or expatriate, has a medical assistance insurance policy. The company continued to develop important management in the protection of health in 2012. Carrying out medical check-ups, medical assistance in headquarters and sites and the promotion of health campaigns are some the main activities favouring the health of all employees in the Group.

630 audits carried out in 2012
Isolux Corsán guarantees that all its activities are carried out according to the most exacting standards with regard to health and safety in all the countries where it operates. Through our Health and Safety Policy, we permanently update our measures for the prevention of occupational risks by respecting the standard and conveying it to workers, suppliers, contractors and collaborating companies which has contributed to a reduction in accident rates in recent years. The dissemination of the Health and Safety Policy, through suitable training programmes for all areas and hierarchical levels, is a fundamental prerequisite. The corporate intranet supports to this task by providing all employees with the Management
Manual and the general and specific procedures which comprise the Health and Safety Management System in three languages. Isolux Corsán has drawn up an action plan with the following points: • Direct monitoring of the level of implementation and compliance of the system in the different countries through the increase in periodic visits to different projects and headquarters and audits. • Increased training on the production line system and on associated risks, directed both at own staff and subcontractors and/ or collaborators

Communicative transparency Isolux Corsán considers communication as an essential asset with which to improve its competitive capacities. As such, it provides its stakeholders with transparent and commitment-based information.
During this period, the Isolux Corsán intranet was consolidated as an important work tool for the Group’s employees which allows knowing the latest news about the company, as well as how to establish synergies for all staff.
Along these lines, the company worked throughout 2012 on communicating its challenges and projects. As the result of this effort, a total of 820 information items* were counted in the media. 30% of this news was published via international media with the clear predominance of online (78%) media.
This space, subject to continuous improvement and updating, represents a meeting point for all of the Group’s employees regardless of the country they are in. During 2012 new collaborative spaces were started where workers can share their knowledge and experiences. Forums, wikis and blogs were the new 2.0 tools made available to resolve the Group’s extensive geographical dispersion.

Commitment to the client Isolux Corsán’s activity is focused on satisfying the client’s needs. A commitment which entails a continuous improvement philosophy. In order to achieve this the company always ensures that the client is dealt with as directly as possible. This monitoring, which is carried out by the Commercial and Production areas, allows us to optimise resources in accordance with the clients’ priorities and to boost those areas in which improvement needs are identified. Satisfaction surveys represent a key measurement indicator in this process. In these, the client weighs up aspects such as the quotation, processing of complaints, documentation quality or, in overall
01
terms, the quality of the project delivered. Their answers and improvement proposals contribute to our objective of excelling ourselves each day. Through the Management of Quality and the Environment, we can see a constant improvement in the client’s satisfaction during each financial year.

Efficient relationship with suppliers Cost optimisation and improvement in quality The operational efficiency of Isolux Corsán is based on the total of three factors: a standard which, overall, ensures the best contracting practices, systems which favour agility and traceability in decision-taking and the optimum management of local and global suppliers. Within a context of global competition, this efficiency in supplier management proves to be the key to competitive improvement in operations since a good part of project costs originate from materials and services from third parties. The Isolux Corsán procurement teams are trained in the application of standards and procedures and have precise knowledge with regard to all the legal, fiscal and logistical implications which govern transactions in products and services on a global market. In 2012, the company set forth the professionalization and development of market research activities and the approval of international suppliers
as priorities by identifying supply sources which guarantee quality and planned costs. Commercial relations with important global suppliers have been based to a maximum on collaborating and strengthening relations in the long term which generate joint growth opportunities. This has translated into cost optimisation and an improvement in quality. Likewise, collaboration with local suppliers was of paramount importance in 2012. This collaboration context has allowed participating in all knowledge of local markets. Moreover, they were fundamental in generating value in all communities where we execute our projects and sites. In 2012, the consolidation of systems and processes for converting management into a regulated system ratified project management excellence and sites which are widely dispersed, both geographically and technically.

External audits As an objective Isolux Corsán has set the certification of quality management systems according to the standard ISO 9001 in those countries in which a permanent corporate structure has been created. In Spain, following the cycles established for the maintenance and renewal of the ISO 9001 certifications, our activities are assessed annually by independent entities of international renown. The external audits carried out in 2012 in different areas of the company highlighted a series of strong points in the companies of which Isolux Corsán is comprised. In the Corporate Area, the support and involvement of Management was highlighted in the fulfilment and efficiency of the management systems; the quality and environment requirements included in standard contracts or the integration of the R&D&I Management System with the Quality Management System and the Group’s
Environmental Management. Moreover, auditors recognise how the opportunities featured in the audit reports have been taken into consideration. In Construction, value was given to the commitment by executive Management to the implantation of the Quality Management System where plans were set forth to reduce the consumption of energy and resources; the assessment criteria and, in general, the assessment methodology of environmental aspects; quality of the verification list used to carry out internal audits of projects and the content of the internal audit reports issued as a result thereof. In Engineering and Services, monitoring and traceability of records was highlighted; documental control of the machinery; documental control of engineering or the conditions and attributes of the Management System were outstanding by virtue of their correct application and their value with regard to the System’s general performance.

Commitment to the community and the environment Within an economic context as complex as the one in 2012 for the entire world, the effort made by Isolux Corsån to uphold its commitment to communities in the countries where it operates was a key factor for the social support of the local area, particularly in the poorest areas. The Group’s presence in specific countries meant the contracting of local suppliers and employees with subsequent economic development. As a construction company, and one dedicated to energy and environmental infrastructures, our presence survives over time: when possible, we donate the execution infrastructures in the projects to the communities.

Environmental management policy Isolux Corsán conveys its commitments through the prevention of pollution, compliance with environmental legislation and the continuous improvement in the management of the environment through its environmental policy which is disseminated at all levels of the organisation and forms part of all of its activities, regardless of the country in which they are taking place. Based on this policy, Isolux Corsán is committed to: • The development and implementation of Environmental Management Systems appropriate for the organisation and in accordance with the principles stipulated in the ISO 14001:2004 standard and the adoption of measures which enable the continuous improvement in the efficiency of the implemented systems. • The setting up and control of compliance with environmental objectives and challenges consistent with this policy and in accordance with the organisation’s capacities. • Ensuring that these objectives and challenges contribute to the progressive increase of good environmental conduct and the efficiency of the environmental management system. • The application of practices aimed at the prevention and reduction of pollution thus
trying to minimise the most significant environmental impacts. • Compliance with the applicable environmental legislation and other requirements that the organisation endorses related to its environmental aspects. Maintenance of the relevant available information which is kept properly updated. • The periodic review of this policy in order to ensure that it is in line with Management’s vision and strategic objectives and with the requirements detected at any time in the environment of the social and natural market in which it develops its activity. Management ensures the implantation of the necessary measures in order to obtain knowledge of and commitment to this Environmental Policy by all the members of the organisation and its external collaborators. Likewise, it ensures that it is available for any stakeholder and the public in general. Identification of the environmental aspects of projects All of Isolux Corsán’s projects include the identification of the environmental aspects associated with them. tees the strictest compliance with environmental legal requirements and the commitment to preventing any type of pollution. Environmental aspects are classified as real and potential. The former refer to water pollution, the consumption of natural resources/products, soil damage, acoustic emissions, atmospheric emissions, inert waste, hazardous waste, urban waste and the use of raw materials. Potential aspects refer to accidents and incidents. In 2012, within the category of “real” environmental aspects identified, the highest percentage corresponds to the generation of inert waste (30%), followed by the generation of urban waste (19%) and hazardous waste (15%), along with the consumption of natural resources/products (13%). Furthermore, as part of the category of potential environmental aspects, primarily the possible occurrence of environmental accidents was identified (73%), compared to the possibility of an incident arising (27%). Assessment of environmental aspects We have assessment procedures in place which analyse the characteristics which specify the impact level that an environmental aspect can have on the natural surrounding environment: certainty, time considerations, class, magnitude or environment.
This assessment allows us to obtain a value which reflects the impact of each aspect on the natural environment and to determine if the impact is significant or not. Reduction in significant environmental aspects Waste management is a crucial aspect in the execution of all projects, which means that the teams involved actively collaborate in treating them properly. In order to guarantee the efficiency of this work, we provide training courses intended for all site staff and subcontractor companies to ensure their involvement and participation in correctly segregating and storing waste and their knowledge of legal obligations which result from such management. 24% of the environmental aspects identified during 2012 in our projects ultimately turned out to be significant. Within the “real” significant environmental aspects, most correspond to the generation of hazardous waste (75%). Of those remaining, it is worth highlighting the generation of atmospheric emissions (8%), soil damage (5%), the generation of inert waste (4%), noise emission and vibrations (3%). As far as “potential” aspects are concerned which are considered as significant, in 2012 they mostly corresponded to possible accidents (91%) as compared to possible incidents (9%).

Common objective: environmental protection The overall vision with which we work on a dayto-day basis in Isolux Corsán, as well as starting new business, converts the Environmental Management System into a key tool for knowing, controlling and minimising the environmental risks associated with our activities. The company’s objective is to consolidate the existing corporate structure in each country in order to improve the implantation and monitoring of environmental management in projects. Likewise, we pursue greater reinforcement of the resources required for environmental protection in all projects and the consolidation of the identification system for legal requirements in each of the countries where we operate. The following must also be highlighted: • The development of good practices in environmental management regardless of the country in which the activity is performed. • Reinforcement of the standardisation systematics in the identification and assessment of environmental aspects. • Setting forth of measures which minimise the environmental risk. • Boosting of training on environmental issues for project teams who are present in all the countries where their activities are performed. • Reporting and monitoring of indicators to consolidate the information originating from the different countries where we operate.
• Monitoring of the environmental objectives set during the year and the compiling of information regarding the benefits obtained. • Setting of new objectives, monitoring and review of systems. Preventing pollution Isolux Corsán reiterates its commitment to renewable energy sources by considering them fundamental aspects in the fight against climate change, as well as being a real and efficient alternative for reducing energy dependence. In this sense, T-Solar -branch of the Group- is clear proof of the application of sustainable development principles to all its activities. This company is a role model as to how to combine economic profitability with the commitment to the care and conservation of the environment. Energy produced by T-Solar (2012): The photovoltaic power plants managed and operated by T-Solar generated more than 320 GWh of energy in 2012, equivalent to the average annual electricity consumption of a population of more than 114,000 inhabitants. Environmental figures: The clean electricity generated by T-Solar in 2012 prevented the emission of 113,004 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere1, which is equivalent to planting 6,704,9042 trees2. (1) Reduction in emissions: 0.358 Kg of CO2 per KWh produced (according to the electric Observatory of the WWF/Adena). (2) Equivalence in tree planting: 1,780,000 trees per 30,000 T
