Our students can make learning more exciting by going on trips and expeditions. They will have the opportunity to explore, discover and develop new skills, knowledge, abilities, and dispositions that will impact their future.

ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES

INTERIMS / EXPEDITIONS

Local

- ISR: Mind, Wit, Action Nov 13th-17th

All ninth grade students have the opportunity to choose a local, national or international workshop designed to reach academic goals and life experiences.

This school year the Expedition trips will take place from November 11th throught the 23rd. Student’s choices of interest as well as their academic & non-academic records will be considered to assign and integrate the traveling groups.

NAE STEAM WEEK

8th Grade

July, 2024

New York, USA

This is a unique and exclusive NAE opportunity, in which our students ambassadors will demonstrate the action our schools are taking to tackle the United Nation’s Global Goals for sustainable development, including through our annual Global Challenge. One student of each campus will be selected as the best ambassador to represent our school and participate in a global Model United Nations, workshops, seminars, and debates. Students will also collaboratively deliver a presentation for a specially convened meeting in support of the UN’s High-Level Political Forum, as well as seeing some of New York.

9th Grade Boston, Massachusetts, USA

Selected students will have the opportunity to collaborate with their peers from sister schools all over the world and participate in exciting workshops and activities delivered by leading MIT academics, as well as touring the campuses of one of the best universities in the world (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). The activities have been co-created by NAE and MIT to increase students’ understanding of STEAM, while developing their interdisciplinary learning and practical problem-solving skills.

ISR NHSMUN

9th Grade

March 6th to 13th, 2024

New York, USA

The National High School Model United Nations is the world’s most prestigious Model UN conference for secondary school students. Located in New York City, NHSMUN is known for its talented attendees, its world-class staff, its highly engaging debates, and its academically rigorous material. The simulation offers unparalleled access to the United Nations. Students are able to attend meetings with the diplomatic representatives of the countries they are representing, and other UN and non-governmental organization (NGO) leaders visit committees for dynamic Q&A sessions.

Outside of the simulation, students visit and explore significant New York attractions such as the United Nations headquarters, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, Central Park, a show on Broadway, and the September 11th Memorial and Museum.

NAE GLOBAL GAMES

7th & 8th Grade

November 28th to December 2nd, 2023

Windermere Preparatory School at Orlando, Florida

The Global Games is a five-day multi-sport event that unites students from Nord Anglia Education across The Americas in a fun, competitive, and action-packed event where our students will have the opportunity to go for the gold in a variety of sports: archery, basketball, flag football, sand volleyball (4X4), soccer, swimming, tennis, track and field & girls’ volleyball. The Global Games is as much as sportsmanship and teamwork, as it is about challenging themselves to excel.

This sporting event is packed with sports clinics, competitions and activities. Students will understand the meaning of teamwork and challenge as they team up with students from other schools across The Americas. 20 of Nord Anglia Education schools across The Americas will have the opportunity to participate in sports clinics and team competitions.

ISR selected representative teams have the opportunity to participate in ASOMEX National Tournaments.

These experiences contribute to the relationships that are formed among the students, teachers, parents and administrators of the member schools.

Participation in ASOMEX athletic competition promotes cross-cultural awareness and contributes to the educational welfare of our community. By taking part in ASOMEX activities members discover their individual abilities and become more confident, flexible, tolerant and creative while developing their own unique talents and qualities.

SUMMER PERFORMING ARTS WITH JUILLIARD

Summer Performing Arts with Juilliard is an immersive performing arts program. Students will be inspired to explore and cultivate their creative talent through unique programs designed by The Juilliard School and taught by Juilliard artist faculty.

We are passionate that students of all levels and performing arts backgrounds will benefit from this immersive experience. Programs are offered in dance, drama, piano, strings, and voice.

ISR Dance selected students have the opportunity, through auditions, to participate in international competitions.

Months of rigorous training and perfecting our routines lead up to the highly anticipated competition season. Each competition presents new challenges, pushing us to our limits and allowing us to learn from different styles and techniques.

The Literateatro company has created the Festival Boys and Girls on Stage during 10 annual broadcasts combining theaters groups in states such as Veracruz, the state of Mexico, Hidalgo,Oaxaca, Chiapas,Tamaulipas, Nuevo León, Tabasco, Puebla and Guanajuato. Literateatro is a company led by the teachers Mercedes Huerta and Javelín Martínez focused on theater for children since 2001. The trip’s mission is the training and initiation of child actors, through the development of skills; potentiating talents and generating new knowledgeable audiences and critics of stage demonstrations.

Your child will ignite their passion for creativity and performance while participating in unique experiences with musician across the America’s region at the Performing Arts Festival in collaboration with Juilliard School. Students will build relationships and expand their musicianship through engaging workshops, rehearsals, and performances. Your child will learn from renowned educators and artists affiliated with Juilliard School.

NAE SERVICE LEARNING

The Tanzania Seeway Expedition is a life changing experience and an opportunity to make a lasting impact on the local communities and villages around Maji ya Chai, in the Arusha region of Tanzania. Students will participate in a highly rewarding program of community service, learning about sustainable development and exploring on a two-day educational safari through the Tarangire National Park.

This is a fantastic opportunity for your child designed to enable them to grow personally and emotionally. The activities support key skills such as confidence, resilience, independence and leadership, all essential in your child’s education, career and life as a global citizen.
