I was told to use catalan modernism as inspiration in order to create a textile priting collection. I live in Barcelona and I know very well that waht I like best of this building are usually the entrances, the doors, door handles, windows and hallways, they look like they are going to take you to another place, wonderland.Or any other world.

There was a strong revival of this aesthetic during the sicodelic times of the sixties. This kind of melting shapes whit neon colors wered used very much in black light neon trippy posters, posters for concerts, textile printings, and more. Always inviting to open the doors of perception.
Not inspired in modernism, but in magic, latest Dolce n Gabbana collection is all about dreamplaces. So I combined a little bit of the trhee things, modernism, black light trippy posters and star dresses to build my inspirational frame.

The Doors of Perception is a 1954 book by Aldous Huxley detailing his experiences when taking mescaline. The book takes the form of Huxley’s recollection of a mescaline trip which took place over the course of an afternoon, and takes its title from William Blake’s poem The Marriage of Heaven and Hell. Huxley recalls the insights he experienced, which range from the “purely aesthetic” to “sacramental vision”.[1] He also incorporates later reflections on the experience and its meaning for art and religion.
