P OLICE & F IRE Smashed A window was damaged on a vehicle parked in the 5700 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast before 8:57 a.m. Nov. 22.

Swiped A purse, credit and debit cards, and a jacket were stolen from a vehicle parked in the 600 block of 237th Place Southeast early Nov. 25. A bank card was later used to purchase gas, and the owner canceled all of the cards.

Pedal powerless A bicycle was stolen from a front porch in the 100 block of East Lake Sammamish Shore Lane Northeast before Nov. 27.

Accident Police responded to a report of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian near Trossachs Boulevard Southeast and Southeast Ninth Way at 8:15 a.m. Nov. 27. The pedestrian told police a vehicle struck her as she crossed the street, but she did not sustain any injuries because the vehicle was moving slowly. She said the motorist left the scene after she told him she planned to file a police report. She provided police with the license plate number, and police later contacted the motorist. He said the woman was verbally aggressive and used expletives, so he drove away. Police said the incident did not qualify as a hit-and-run accident because the woman was uninjured, but told the motorist he should have remained at the scene until officers arrived. Police cited him for failure to stop.

Party’s over Packages containing makeup and a dress were stolen from a front porch in the 3000 block of 198th Avenue Southeast before 3:45 p.m. Nov. 28. The estimated loss is about $200.

Tagged Police discovered graffiti in the 300 block of Rainier Boulevard South at 10:03 a.m. Nov. 21.

Drugs Police arrested a juvenile male for possession of marijuana at Issaquah High School, 700 Second Ave. S.E., at 12:55 p.m. Nov. 21.

Crashed A laptop computer was stolen from a home in the 23300 block of Southeast 48th Street before 5:04 p.m. Nov. 21.

Theft Police arrested a 33-year-old Sammamish man for theft at Target, 755 N.W. Gilman Blvd., at 6:23 p.m. Nov. 21.

Bear affair Police responded to a disturbance in the 400 block of Southwest Forest Place at 1:08 a.m. Nov. 22 and discovered two bears in the home’s front yard. The officer determined the bears caused the noise the resident heard.

EASTSIDE FIRE & RESCUE REPORTS FOR DEC. 2-13 4Two engines were dispatched at 12:17 a.m. Dec. 2 to a motor vehicle accident in the 700 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard. There were no injuries. 4Two engines arrived at the scene of a motor vehicle accident with injuries at 7:31 p.m. Dec. 2 in the 1000 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard. 4An engine crew assisted a person in distress at 9:56 a.m. Dec. 3 in the 4700 block of Northeast 18th Street. 4Four engines were dispatched at 5:16 p.m. Dec. 3 to the scene of a pedestrian hit by a motor vehicle in the 600 block of 228th Avenue Northeast. 4An engine was sent at 12:03 p.m. Dec. 6 to assist a resident locked out of a home in the 100 block of 210th Avenue Northeast. 4Two engines were sent to a motor vehicle accident with injuries at 4:51 p.m. Dec. 6 in the 100 block of West Sunset Way. 4Three engines were dispatched at 9:23 p.m. Dec. 6 to a motor vehicle accident in the 7200 block of Renton-Issaquah Road Southeast. There were no injuries. 4An engine was dispatched at 11:44 a.m. Dec. 8 to a motor vehicle accident with injuries in the 1500 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard. Dec. 4. The estimated loss is more than $400. The credit card company reimbursed her for the fraudulent charges.

Naughty, not nice Sammamish city workers discovered graffiti — a drawing of male genitalia — on a retaining wall near the 2000 block of 228th Avenue Southeast on Dec. 4.

Bed, bath and beyond A package containing body lotions was stolen from the front porch of a residence in the 1100 block of 205th Avenue Northeast before 2 p.m. Dec. 4. The caller located the empty package near the home, but not the lotions.

Catching fire

Police arrested a 31-yearold Tucson, Ariz., man for driving under the influence at Southeast 58th Street and 231st Avenue Southeast at 4:12 a.m. Nov. 22.

Cash, computers, a Kindle Fire and jewelry were stolen from a home in the 235th Place Southeast before 2:15 p.m. Dec. 5. The resident returned home to find a living room window broken and the items missing. The estimated loss is at least $5,500.

Early bird

Better not pout

Police contacted a crew at a home under construction in the 23400 block of Southeast 21st Court at about 8 a.m. Dec. 1 after a neighbor complained. The crew agreed to cease work until 9 a.m., the earliest construction can occur in Sammamish on a Saturday.

A motorist said teenagers tossed water balloons at her vehicle as she drove southbound on IssaquahPine Lake Road Southeast at about midnight Dec. 9. She said one teenager wore a Santa hat, and fled toward Sunny Hills Elementary School, 3200 IssaquahPine Lake Road S.E.
