HOW THE ASSASINATION OF PRESIDENT KENNEDY CHANGED AMERICA John Fitzgerald Kennedy was a youngest president at the time of his election in 1960. He was the first and only Roman Catholic president. His presidency ended by his assassination on November 22, 1963 in Dallas, Texas. 56 years after his assassination John F. Kennedy, America’s 35th President, his assassination felt was in many areas, for example, security, politics, America media, policy and culture, peace and diplomacy, arts and culture and science and innovation.

How did Kennedy influence media? Kennedy used the emerging television media industry to promote his political stance. His debates were televised during the 1960 presidential campaign with Vice president Richard Nixon and this changed the nature of politics in America. Most people consider Kennedy the first TV president and TV coverage of his assassination ushered in the era of live television news. When CBS went on air for three days of coverage that is when people realized the power of TV as a journalistic medium. Before prior of Kennedy’s assassination, the newspaper, and radio were the main forms of news.
