The term “phygital” refers to the integration of physical and digital experiences or technologies. It seems that according to Google Trends, the term “phygital” is declining in popularity.

Consumers are perceiving phygital entities, or products or experiences that combine physical and digital elements, as having limited use IRL or the meta-verse or shared virtual reality or digital environment.

Technological advancement in the meta-verse is not yet advanced enough to fully utilize or take advantage of phygital elements, consumers may view these items as less valuable or useful. As a result, they may be less likely to spend money on phygital products or experiences.
