As an organization combining office furniture manufacturers under one roof, Izmir based Office Furniture Industry Manufacturers Association (OFISMOD) visited Izmir Governor Erol Ayyildiz and Karabaglar Mayor Muhittin Selvitopu and Torbali Mayor Ismail Uygur to strengthen the relations with local authorities. They discussed the cooperation among them in the new period. OFISMOD Chairman Gokhan Hepkafadar noted that though OFIMOD was born in Izmir as an association, but now it covered the whole of the office furniture industry in Turkey and told that the association had an important contribution on the success of MODEKO Izmir Fair.

Export target for 2023 in office furniture is 250 million dollars

Hepkafadar pointed out, “Turkey's export volume of office furniture in 2018 was 125 $ million and it has been increasing continuously. Office furniture sector will show a significant breakthrough in exports under the leadership of the Furniture Organized Industrial Zone that will be established in cooperation with Aegean Exporters of Furniture, Paper and Forestry Products, Aegean Region Chamber of Industry, and Izmir Chamber of Commerce.
