Baseline and assumptions for the extrapolation 

GBE FACTORY project is expected to facilitate the activation during the project of about 30 headlines for the production of Renewable energy (RE) in the five European regions corresponding to a total rated power of 21 MW (E / H / C); Within one year, following the end of the project, it is estimated to bring the installed to 30 MW (E / H / C). One year after the end of the project it will be 2014. For 2020 a value of 70 MW (E/H/C) is expected

Clarification on the calculation of mw generated by RES plants

ď ś

For calculating the megawatts, the nominal power plant in both electrical and thermal form will be considered - even if not all electrical and thermal power is currently being used by the GBE FACTORY.

RES sources that the project intends to consider in GBE FACTORIE will generally be represented by: 1. Photovoltaic on building: kWel 2. Solar thermal on building: kWth 3. Hybrid integrated systems (PH + ST): kWel + kWth 4. Biomass Generators a. Generators PPO- SVO: kWel + kWth b. Plant biomass generators: kWel + kWth c. Biomass from waste generators: kWel + kWth 5. Wind turbines: kWel 6. Geothermal systems: kWth 7. Other: KWel + kWth

It has been estimated that the potential running time of these sources may range from about 3,000 hours for the sources referred to above in points 1-2-3, to about 8,000 hours for the sources referred to in point 4 above.

Furthermore in the presentation phase of the Project, the following assumption has been made: 

1 MW of those 21MW targeted by the Project will consist of an average mix of 300 kWel and 700 kWth; within those 700 kWth, an average of about 500 KWth will be actually used for heating / air conditioning or for uses linked to production processes within the company; this 1MW is produced from plants operating on average 6,500 hours per year.

HOW TO ENSURE THAT THESE MEGAWATs GERMINATE AND GROW ????
