Famous music in Montecatini
Every year in spring and summer Montecatini hosts various concerts in the wonderful setting of Terme Tettuccio. Great soloists and directors who participated at the festival were surprised by the amazing acoustic of the spa that can accommodate up to 1200 spectators. Built in 1771 by Granduke Leopold, Montecatini Terme soon became a meeting point for the cultural ĂŠlite, a place where music became a main feature. All great Italian musicians spent some time strolling along the alleys of the thermal resort and many of them even created their works here, among them Gioacchino Rossini, Giuseppe Verdi, Richard Strauss, Giacomo Puccini, Arturo Toscanini, Enrico Caruso e Pietro Mascagni, the Gotha of Italian lyrics!
The festival is the perfect chance to offer something new to groups staying in the town or take them on a nice last minute holiday with an interesting wellness programme. You will enjoy an aperitif with a snack after each performance.
