Being a writer, editor and a TV host entails a lot of work. At the end of the day itexhausts my mental and physical energy. Stress caused by my hectic activities and travel triggers me to engage in emotional eating and other unhealthy habits, leading to a more sedentary lifestyle.

Thanks to MX3 PLUS Capsules and MX3 Coffee Mix, both have amazingly provided me with a great kick-start for my day by boosting my energy and making me more active and always on the go. Now I don’t only have time for my regular workout but also added vigor for some quality time bonding with friends and family.

Cebu Ups The Ante

“Is this in Cebu?” This is the common response that I

get whenever I would show images (such as the two photos on this page) from my mobile phone of Cebu’s latest hip spots. Why not? Just because Cebu is a pro vincial city doesn’t mean it can’t come up with some thing sophisticated and creative. On the contrary, there are many places in provincial cities and towns that have a unique character. By the way, Mabuhay is the first one to publish these places on a national and international scale. Anyway, on our cover is a buotique hotel called House of Cebu owned bu a well traveled couple, Detlef and May Ernst. Detlef is a seccessful, low key German steel businessman while May is a Filipina who is an accomplished chef and one of those born with a natural, artistic talent(her husband gallantly attri \ butes the hotel’s design to her).

BBQs, noodle markets, and lots of drinks for attendants of sydney’s annual Crave International Food Festival. We, at Philippine Airlines, are happy to have you on board. Please sit back and relax, and allow us to make your flight enjoyable. For your own safety and convenience, please observe the regulations listed on the back pages. “Mabuhay“ is a Filipinoverb in the form of a command: “Live!“ It is also a wish: “May you live!“ Whoever says it wishes you the great gift of a long and full life. It is both a blessing and a lusty cheer. “Mabuhay” (ma-boo-high) is such a large word that it lends itself to a wide number of secondary uses: Welcome, Congratulations, Thanks, Godspeed, Hello, Good Luck, Cheers, Posit, Sante, Viva, Kambei, Aloha and many other expressions of good will.

HAFA ADAI, GUAM! There are two sides to Guam. On the one hand, the island seems like a weekend retreat designed by and for the Japanese, a densely packed Pacific playground replete with sushi bars, all-night karaoke pits, and pop-up ramen stands. Then there is Guam’s overlooked island jewel appeal. 18
