Dear ITEC Family, Thank you all for joining us this evening at our Immersive Israel event, honoring Stuart Weitzman. While we could have made the decision to cancel or postpone the event, we found it deeply important to stand strong with our family in Israel. In the past six weeks, ITEC has pivoted in numerous ways to help our children heal their wounds and give them moments of joy, normalcy and security. They have gained strength from the love and support they have felt from all of us. We are so grateful to each of you for making the effort to be here and demonstrate your unwavering commitment to Israel and our children. I extend my warmest thanks to Stuart Weitzman for being tonight’s honoree, leading with your exceptional generosity and heart and being a beacon of hope and light for our ITEC family. Am Yisrael Chai!

Gala Chair & North American Board President

“I am fortunate to be able to help ITEC continue to expand its athletic and education programs. Our future leaders come from opportunities like this.”

Honoring Stuart Weitzman Stuart Weitzman’s passion for design has been a lifelong pursuit, leading to the internationally renowned company that bears his name. He has been honored extensively for his unique approach to entrepreneurship, and for his uncompromising commitment to prioritizing function as an integral element of fashion. Today, his shoes dominate red carpet-events and are worn by celebrity fans around the world. Beyoncé, Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle, Taylor Swift, and Jennifer Lopez are just a few who are regularly seen in his designs, along with millions of other women in over 70 countries. Weitzman approaches his extensive charitable endeavors with equal commitment. Among these are his ongoing support for a wide range of hospitals and medical research centers, youth and sports organizations, cultural institutions, and the prehistoric caves in the Altamira Region of Spain. He regularly mentors students on their entrepreneurial and design aspirations at several universities, including the University of Pennsylvania, Princeton, Yale, Dartmouth, and the London Business School. He is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business at Penn, where the university has honored him by renaming their design and architecture school the Stuart Weitzman School of Design. During his free time, you may find him on the tennis court or at the ping-pong table. If you’ve got a racket, he’ll welcome the challenge.

Ribbon Cutting The Stuart Weitzman Tennis Complex in Jerusalem is a new facility on the grounds of The Ben B. and Joyce E. Eisenberg Israel Tennis & Education Center. The 65,000 square foot complex will house educational classrooms, four new indoor and two outdoor tennis courts and retail space. The Stuart Weitzman Sports Complex in Ramat Hasharon at the Larry Greenspon Israel Tennis & Education Center, north of Tel Aviv, will feature new pickleball and paddle courts and a covered area accommodating hundreds of children. A world class Stuart Weitzman Gymnasium will also be developed within the complex.

Tributes & Memorials

Special Tribute The Board of Directors and the staff of the Israel Tennis & Education Centers Foundation extend their sincerest gratitude to

LARRY GREENSPON

For his long time involvement, extraordinary leadership, and dedicated service as Board Member, former International Chair, former Chair of ITEC’s Global Business Board and Chair for over two decades of ITEC events in Sarasota and Longboat Key. A visionary, philanthropist and role model, Larry has made giving-back a top priority. With his leadership, passion and huge heart, Larry has helped to transform the lives of hundreds of thousands of Israeli children, not least the youth who attend The Larry Greenspon Israel Tennis Center - Ramat Hasharon, which Larry named in 2017. Throughout his life, his unwavering passion for tennis served as the driving force behind his countless hours on the court. Larry first qualified for the Maccabiah Games in 2001; that trip was the first of many to Israel and a lifechanging experience. He has since represented the USA at the Maccabiah Games numerous times.

Special Tribute The Board of Directors and the staff of the Israel Tennis & Education Centers Foundation extend their sincerest gratitude to

JOYCE EISENBERG-KEEFER

The “first lady of ITEC,” and our largest benefactor, Joyce is always ready, willing and eager to step in and step up to support her beloved children, the children of Israel. An avid tennis player, who was part of the U.S. Maccabiah Team, Joyce played tennis with some of Israel’s most prominent leaders. Joyce demonstrates her extraordinary commitment to ITEC and the 24 communities we serve across Israel where she has left an indelible mark on the children, families, and Israeli society. We are honored to have the Ben B. and Joyce E. Eisenberg ITEC in Jerusalem bearing their names. Always seeking to support where the need is greatest, Joyce has been instrumental in developing ITEC Dimona, an underserved area in Israel’s South. Joyce’s passion for Girls’ Empowerment programming has impacted thousands of young Israeli women who benefited from Joyce’s generosity and commitment to changing the world, one young woman at a time. Joyce is a role model for all, and for generations to come, who will forever be strengthened by her steadfast belief in the power of women and her love of Israel.

ITEC remembers with love

GLORIA BORIS

We honor Gloria Boris’ lifelong and staunch commitment to ITEC and the children of Israel. Her energy, perky personality and drive earned her the beloved nickname, “Mrs. I-95.” A former Board member and long-term Chair of the Palm Aire Angels, she is forever in our memories and hearts.

ITEC remembers with love

FRED LEVINE

Fred Levine was a ranked tennis player who won two gold medals at the Israeli Maccabiah games, and along with his dear wife, Velva, played a very active role in ITEC from its founding. A former ITEC Board member and dear friend of ITEC, Fred hosted many events in the Houston area, and was a staunch supporter of the ITEC High-Performance Program and the Boys National Team. Fred’s impact on ITEC will always be remembered.

ITEC remembers with love

CATHY MULLIN

Our dear colleague and friend, Cathy Mullin, recently passed, and we already greatly miss her warmth, enthusiasm and professionalism. Lovingly referred to as “The Wizard”, Cathy demonstrated her devotion to ITEC, to Yoni Yair and to the many donors and staff who called on her expertise for over 25 years. Cathy was passionate about the children of the ITEC and her beloved Detroit Tigers. We will always remember Cathy with love and admiration.

ITEC Remembers with love,

RUTH NUSSDORF

Ruth Nussdorf’s heartfelt devotion to ITEC extended over many years, and she shared her passion and extraordinary philanthropic values with her children and their families. Ruth embodied the principle of L’dor Vador, from generation to generation, as the Nussdorf and Mark families carry on her legacy and continue to impact and empower the children of the Nussdorf and Mark Family ITC Jaffa Center. Ruth lived by her belief in the art of giving and added, in her own unique style, “give til it hurts.” The world, and especially ITEC, will miss Ruth’s big heart and indominable spirit.

ITEC remembers with love

NORMA ROSENBERG

Norma Rosenberg’s great passion was ITEC. She was profoundly devoted to ITEC and the children and communities we serve. Norma and her beloved husband, Lester, were instrumental in establishing ITEC’s presence in the Chicago area and led the initiative to build the Chicago dome in the ITEC Haifa center. As a member of ITEC’s boards, Norma was an ambassador, mentor and vocal advocate for women, Israel and Tikkun Olam (repairing the world). We miss you, Norma, and your spirit will remain with us forever.

ITEC remembers with love

DICK SAVITT

Dick Savitt was a tennis legend, longtime ITEC Board Member, and a champion of ITEC’s children. He was instrumental in putting ITEC on the tennis world map, and as the only Jewish player to win Wimbledon, an inspiration for many of our players. Dick’s memory will forever be a blessing to ITEC and the world.

ITEC remembers with love

SUSAN RATNER

While Susan was not a tennis player, she, with her beloved husband, Evan, shared a deep passion for ITEC. A strong and vivacious woman, Susan was drawn to the educational components of ITEC, and in particular, the Girls’ Empowerment social impact programs. Susan’s face lit up every time she met the young women and learned how their involvement with ITEC shaped their lives and empowered them to become leaders in their families and communities. Susan devoted her tremendous energy and charisma to leadership in many organizations, but the children of ITEC held a very special place in her heart. A tennis court in the new Stuart Weitzman Complex in Jerusalem will lovingly bear Susan’s name.

Bring Them Home A loving tribute to our brothers and sisters held in captivity in Gaza. You are in our hearts and prayers, every moment of every day. We will continue to fight for your release and safe return to your homes and beloved families.
